Aikido and Business Discipline
Aikido Discipline and Business -Joe Thambu
A great you tube video here from one of the great Aikido practitioners Joe Thambu. Giving a talk at an Entrepreneurs summit, on Aiki Discipline and its place in business. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p-eZhUa5q-c&feature=youtu.be I like the part where he is using one hand doing techniques while talking on the microphone….

We finished the introduction course last night with the students reviewing the all of the aspects covered in the last 5 lessons.
The students have made great progress over the last 6 weeks, and now have a better understanding of the basics of Aikido that they will put to good use next week when the dojo officially commences on the 27th of April.
During the course the students covered ;
Tiasabaki (Footwork),
Theodoki (Hand release),
Nigiri kaeshi (Returning grasp),
and most importantly Ukemi(falling),
along with a couple of basic arm locking techniques.
At the end of the review we had some time to look at the basics of training with the bokken, which I am sure everyone is keen to experience again.
Several of the students are going to continue training with Penguin Aikido. I thoroughly enjoyed being their Sensei over the last 6 weeks, and I am dedicated to working with them on their upcoming Aikido journey.

All the best,
