this is literally the entire basis for stockholm btw. every single character shows their "love" for their partner by enabling them on the worst ways possible and if they don't, they get punished in such a way that the narrative treats as fair or not a big deal.

I think it says a lot about Lily that she apparently thinks that the best solution to any conflict is to completely violate the boundaries of the opposition and rob them of their free will. Like “everything would be fine if you just did exactly what I want” is straight up how most abusers think.

i think i said it before and i'll say it again: if LO just came out and said that she wants to create these incestuous stories, i'd still find them disgusting and boring, but at least i could see clearly the intention. this is fetish art dressed up as wholesome content, that is part of the fetish in fact. it's the part where the author will try to gaslight you, the reader, into thinking this is just "loving sisters" that is deeply gross and crosses a line in my opinion.

Okay, I'm overthinking this clearly throw away line that doesn't mean anything, and is just an excuse to imply how "cool" and "edgy" the avatar is, while also giving her the "misunderstood" label.

The fic really is just an excuse for meaningless flirting, and if the two weren't RELATED BY BLOOD, it would just read as a typical, slice of life, cutesy couple interaction.

Honestly, Its biggest sin (if you try really, really hard to pretend the obvious incest doesn't exist), is just being...okay? It's a bit boring, and requires you to actually...care about two rather bland people that we know nothing about and their relationship.

This short fic honestly doesn't make me want to know more about these two, and it makes me wildly uncomfortable.

i was thinking of that as well. why would bloodbending be your first thought on that scenario, or any scenario really, when you have all the elements to do practically anything you want? if it's about subdue someone, keeping them out of harm's way or even catch them after a fall, you can do so many things that never once have to include bloodbending. it truly feels like the only thing LO wanted was to have the cool edgy dark powers of this universe and still be treated like a hero for it. so basically it's just alina with a different font.

well i mean i can imagine using blood bending to, let's say, save someone from falling off the cliff by grabbing them and slowly bending them to the ground like a drop of water. Yeah it'll be painful and technically violates person's autonomy but it's still better than death

The different question is however, why would you use it instead of other bending styles when you're a freaking avatar? More than that you can use blood bending only on a full moon so?

That would be a really specific case. Like, all the stars align once in a billion years kind of deal. I just can't imagine it ever happening, if only because blood bending requires a full moon to even work.

But yeah, regardless of the semantics, Niva is the freaking AVATAR. She has all 4 elements at her disposal. Air can make someone fall slower or catch them. Earth can push people away or drag them towards you, it can even stop peoples movements. The same applies to water, which has the bonus of being able to heal.

And intimidation? How about good old fire? Fire also doubles as a great way to entertain people with its beautiful intensity.

Using blood bending at all is just be lazy, and kind of implies the avatar is unstable.

For the "Elf Torture"... I'm not going to lie that as an adult for a few years, I've been watching and reading NSFW stuff, but mostly drawn/animated because I prefer. And, one common tropes in fantasy porn, is the elf being a toy and often just being tortured and I'm sure it's is own porn category. You often see it with orcs and it's a popular genre in hentai...

It is really the explanation? I don't know. But to have followed those blogs for some times (hell, I think I saw them being created back then), but with what we discovered about Lily, I wouldn't be surprised she is talking about a porn tropes.

I did theorize way back then that Stockholm, and its spinoff, was just badly written hentai. The tropes were there, and a lot of the weirdness could be explained with that.

Plus, Lily seems weirdly aware of really obscure hentai games that I never heard of.

It's all speculation, but it does fit within previous speculations.

i saw one of the videos Ethel made through a live reaction of it. i don't want to turn this into a "let's talk about Ethel bad now" hour because this blog is still intended for LO, who is still a far more dangerous individual than ethel as far i'm aware of. but i find it rather priceless that ethel is trying to speak for the "LO critical community" and how we're lied to when she was the one, completely on her own, who openly decided we weren't worth keeping any form of contact with. when she was the one who openly said that "a big portion of this community" was responsible for P harassing Courtney and caused such a mental/emotional distress that she couldn't be bothered to do any more content about LO. i find that manipulative and disgusting. you can't treat us that way and then somehow portray yourself as the one who cares the most about us. you don't know this community. you aren't part of this community. you rejected this community. you don't speak for anyone on this community. ethel, i thought you better than this. i bat for you when you couldn't be bothered to reach out. i defended you when no one else would. if you don't believe that because you didn't see it it doesn't matter, because i'm not saying this to guil trip you either. just stating that i'm deeply, deeply dissapointed with everything you have chosen to do and i hope it was worth it for you. that's all i'm going to say on the matter. i just needed to take that out of my chest. now we can go back to our usual schedule.

People bring Carousel into things sometimes because the circumstances between her and Lily are so strange (I know I've certainly side eyed Lily a few times over that situation even, I'll admit to being curious at times) and it's such a blank spot where it's clear something happened but I don't ever ask around about it because she's implied she doesn't want to think about that time of her life any more. Plus she and her fiancee seem happy together, she has a lot of friends and Lily stopped trying to throw her under the bus the second Courtney came along so I think she deserves to take the get out of jail free card and enjoy her happiness. (sucks she got suspended from Twitter for calling out a pedo though, she's actually a lot of fun and very nice to interact with, always super nice to her art fans I hope she gets it back)

that's exactly my thought process too. if she is having a good life now surrounded by better people, then she deserves that rest without people trying to make a connection between her and an awful ex that is not worth thinking about.

why does LO only know how to write 2 types of stories?

1) a story where the main character is abusive (Aliana of TSR) or predatory (Rainbow Dash of Stockholm) but has this behaviour basically ignored, living their life with their victims (Rey and Scootaloo).

or

2) a story involving two extremely codependent (almost incestous) sisters who both like women and who may be mistaken for “being gay for each other” e.g the new avatar fanfic and the one with the mute sister.

is she just that bad of a writer that she is unable to explore different stories or are these her biggest fantasies?

they're both wish fulfillment. LO wished that she had a partner that would forgive her for any horrible action she does without doing anything to take accountability, where she gets to be adored and pampered without question, and the second one is basically the same thing but with a slightly different font.

Not that anyone has asked her (yet), but I would imagine that her defense for her writing sisters the way she does is either A.) she wishes that what she had with her sister or B.) she’ll point to Frozen and say she’s modeling them based off Ana and Elsa’s relationship (the snuggling, the replacement for a love interest, etc.)

One, given the allegations Courtney has thrown her way and the fact that Lily is now throwing the same accusations, I’m (not at all) surprised how she doesn’t think this is at all appropriate and not creepy

I follow Carousel on her new Twitter since her old one got suspended and I feel like she dropped a Lily reference when talking about the new Taylor Swift album when she said ("And I don't even want you back, I just want to know / If rusting my sparkling summer was the goal?" is a line I can relate to. I sometimes wish I could find her out there in the world and ask her if she got her kicks from ruining me for such a long while and if she even gives a single thought to the pain she caused me, if I mattered at all) since that song is about a petty terrible ex.

I love how Lily prides herself as a writer, yet she despises any cartoon for having an ongoing story. Why wouldn't she be interested in an ongoing narrative?

i think part of it is intellectual laziness. LO does not want a story that can challenge her on any way. she just wants a constant dosage of dopamine straight into her veins, not go on in a journey or see characters go through any struggle or evolution. it's an active, hateful and frankly pitiful refusal to engage with any work beyong the most surfice level possible.
