Joe Manganiello (CROCODILE) talks about his excitement for SEASON 2 and SEASON 3

Now that you are part of the ONE PIECE saga, what does this role mean to you?

Joe Manganiello (CROCODILE):

“It's exciting. I love how enthusiastic all the fans are about ONE PIECE. They are so excited and I love being part of something that exciting to fans. So, you know, It's a big responsability because there are many people out there excited for this character and I am that excited for it. So, you know, they are going to be happy. I have seen some of the things we shoot and It's very exciting. I am very excited about It, I can't say much more because I'll get in trouble but I feel a great responsibility.”

The Saga is not finished. Do you want to play for more seasons?

Joe Manganiello (CROCODILE):

“Yeah, especially with the new storylines. The Cross Guild, I think, it would be very fun. I hope someday maybe we get to do Cross Guild but right now, I am just concentrated on SEASON 3 and doing a great job with SEASON 3”

(Netflix has not officially announced SEASON 3. But it’s definitely an open secret)

Joe Manganiello (CROCODILE) teases details about SEASON 2 and Crocodile’s characterization

What can you tease about Season 2 and what makes Crocodile a good leader since he is the leader of that group?

Joe Manganiello (CROCODILE):

“I don't know what I can really tease, you know. There's a bunch of Netflix's folks around so they are pretty tight-lipped about It all. But I mean, I can say that I have seen some of It and It's unbeliavable. Like If you loved Season 1, Season 2 is like to the 10th power. It's amazing. And then, you know, what makes Crocodile a great, well, I mean he's got to keep all this extreme personalities in order and that is no small task.”

“And you know, what's so interesting to me about him is that he was Luffy at some point and his life took a turn and so in a way he's been waiting for someone like him to come across his path so that he could kind of impart this philosophy of life that he's gained since, uhm, you know the humbling that happened to him when he was young and now he's looking to do that to someone else or find an opportunity to do that. I just always find those characters that are quote-unquote villans that are the flip side of the coin from the hero or It's the hero if they take the wrong path or makes the wrong decisions in his life. And thats what I find like so so delicious about the character.”

“And I’ve seen what we shot for Season 2. I went into the office and watched it, and I don’t know if I’m ever gonna look that cool again. So it’s about the coolest thing I think I have ever done. It’s awesome.”

“The coolest thing I have ever done. It’s so cool. I couldn’t believe what I was watching because when you look at all those pieces, there’s a lot going on and it seems crazy but put together, and the set they built for me, it’s amazing.”
