Summary:

When his role in Dumbledore’s plan is compromised, Severus Snape must temporarily disappear. With some experimental magic, he can be hidden in plain sight. The downside? Severus Snape has been transformed into a very young, very frightened child. Dumbledore and McGonagall disagree on how much effort should be expended on a temporary second chance. And what exactly made Severus Snape become Severus Snape?

Meanwhile, Harry Potter tries to unravel the mystery of what happened to the previous Potions Master.

btw 12 years old Severus is so smol and precious ;; I wanna be his forever friend wielding the fire sword of st. Micheal Archaengel against his enemies. What about stickers though? This could be a cute one, I suppose.. Should I go with stickers of S&D art?

as deputy headmistress part of minerva’s duties is to check in on severus to make sure his lessons are on track despite not being at hogwarts, since he’s still signed up to be following the curriculum. the dog, mercutio, seems to know she’s not entirely cat, and opts to ignore her when she does her rounds, although she sees that he always keeps a close eye on her whenever she approaches severus.

there are times when she stays longer than what albus would like, but she’s always found it hard to resist belly rubs and the dish of clotted cream mrs evans sets out just for her. and is that andromeda tonks? in the same neighborhood? minerva might have to check in more often, perhaps, just to make sure things keep running smoothly…
