One of the main components that I've noticed about fandoms is AUs with their own turns or headcannons. HLVRAI is one of those AUs, with a decent amount of half-life people enjoying it! Hlvrai is basically a sub-genre which helps bring new people to the Fandom, which is called "reaching". I want to help expand the fandoms I'm in, even if they are dead/no Fandom. I learned about half-life from gmod and tf2 but I really got into it by Hlvrai and "half-life, full regret." half-life and just Randoms in general are in a symbiosis relationship with the fan-art of other AUs, and funny shitposts! That's the thing about most of the internet. When a game is created, there will most likely be a Fandom and the 3 main components of keeping a Fandom alive for a while is art, AUs and memes to keep it new and fresh. Hope this helps you see my point of view and helps keep this discussion open-minded.

Tagging half life in my art does help me expand my art to ther people who may be interested in what I do! I do understand where you're coming from but if you simply remove 3-4 things in that drawing, it simply becomes a normal guard from half-life. However i will keep on tagging that tag in my art to help me expand. Thank you for your criticism though and I hope you have a wonderful day!
