Hello! Posted this last week on Patreon/Discord but didn't get a lot of votes, so it's time to make it public. This month I'll be posting a drawing of Marcus and Angela chilling at the Grand Brew, plotting with the MC. Thus, I'll finally have posted a drawing of all of the ROs. Which means it's time to start doing some interesting things, like special moments from the story, places, side characters, and such.

So, I've come up with one of those interactive polls where you guys can give your own answers and vote for whatever you want me to start posting art-wise on Patreon, and, occasionally, here.

Sneak Peek, Chapter 1 Rewrites 💀

Posted this in the weekly Patreon update and thought I'd share it here as well. I'm doing a rewrite for chapter 1 (I know, I know, nobody likes to hear this. I've written a lot for chapter 4 as well!), and I'm trying to go for the same vibe that I've been giving for all of chapter 4, which is a lot edgier and "mature", if you could ever call High School Revenge that... This is thanks to some hate comments I've recently read that I kinda agreed with, that High School Revenge is written like the author was actually in middle school.

So a lot of the stuff has been changed when it comes to the writing style, but events stay mainly the same. One thing though, the 7 fathers are gone...

Thoughts on the new first page for chapter 1?

Alright so what’s the deal with these hobbies? Like, you supposed to max all of them out or what? This some Persona type grind? Or is it better to just go all in on one hobby?

Depends on your goals. If you want to be present in everything that’s happening everywhere, then a low skill in hobbies is fine.

However, if you want to truly see everything one of the hobbies has to offer and generally just make your character a god whenever they have to do something regarding that hobby, then you would max out your original hobby and maybe another one from 0.

A 100 baseball would make you be able to completely change the flow of any baseball related event, either positively or negatively. A lower skill in one of the hobbies would just make your MC more passive in hobby-related events.

Monthly Update - Jul 25

Hello, people! Another month, another update!

So, same as last month, I guess I’ll do a little list with some of the big stuff I’ve worked on and finished in the last 28 days:

4 different endings to the half-time performance for the Fighting Rooster, ranging from an encore from both sides of the crowd to complete humiliation with the band on the edge of collapse.

Plan to make Olivia listen to her own words before the Tragedy now implemented.

Ruin the performance of the Fighting Rooster or make it better, even if you didn’t plan to do it ahead of time

Make Connor listen to his words from the Tragedy, or maybe get surprised by his capabilities to avoid ruin…?

Make Vivian fall of the top of the cheerleading pyramid, and potentially injure her…?

2 different endings to the baseball game (duh, you win or lose), with different nuances, ranging from a complete wipeout for one of the sides or a close win (with Michael potentially kicked out of the game).

Based on the revenge plans you perform, students will know if “king/queen creep” is back in town, and more and more people will fear their notoriety.

Choose your outfit for the big night.

Choose if you’re going to bring your date to homecoming in a limo or your cool new car! Or your old mini…

Share a limo with your date, Dylan, and start peeling off some of his fake layers. And arrive in style to the homecoming dance

Pick up your date, Olivia, from her house and meet her mother for the first time in 7 years. Will she recognize you? Will she like you? Who knows? (I know, duhh)

The Olivia part isn’t finished yet, I wanna write a bit about the ride to the dance as well and maybe bond with her a bit. I’ll have to do this for all of the other 5 date options, cause, yeah, there are 7 options, not 5, like I said last time. (Dylan, Olivia, Cecily, Isaac, Haley, Angela, Marcus)

We’ll follow with some banter at the dance, some dancing, the crowning, and then the chapter is done. Yey! No after party, cause I feel like making it clear that the “creep” will ruin all the desire to party for the rest of the night. If you’re a non-revenge enthusiast and won’t do anything, I might write something that just ends the night cutely with your date, if you kept things civil, and that’s that.

Sneak Peek

Just the small little repercussions of making the Fighting Rooster have an extremely embarrassing performance at homecoming.

I found this IF last night and I played through the demo, and this game is actually so over the top that it's really funny. It seems like none of the characters are normal. I really enjoy MC's inner thoughts and every characters' actions, along with the meta comments littering throughout the game, and it was just so ridiculous that I can't help but laugh. Thank you for writing this, I would love to see more of what you have in store.

Thank you very much for the kind words! I'm glad you like the over the top-ness of the whole thing. I got a bit conflicted at some points with how absurd I got with everything, but I feel this is what makes my story unique to some others out here.

Also, I'm glad the meta comments aren't annoying, I have a lot of fun putting those in. It's like I'm playing call and response with myself sometimes haha.

You're going to love chapter 4 when it comes out, which, based on some of my most recent and up to date estimation, should be out for the public to see around September, max. 🤞🤞🤞

Just wondering, how traumatized can you make the RO's specifically? Is it possible to truly haunt them and have them under your complete control? If so, who then is easiest to manipulate from least to greatest?

Also when do you think the full game will be up, and how much will it be? (Or is it free?)

They all have a “sanity” stat that starts from 100 and can go down all the way to 0 at some point. The result from them having 0 sanity will be different from case to case though. I’ll try to make it a bit of a balancing act based on the results you want.

So, for a fake example, let’s say Dylan at 0 sanity becomes a sociopath with nothing to lose anymore and starts doing very stupid stuff. But maybe at 20 sanity, he was afraid of you and ready to listen to everything you told him to do.

To answer your question, yeah, you can truly haunt some of them and/or have them under control (important to mention, this is at some point, it’s not available in the demo yet!).

No promises on a release date for the game. And price won’t be decided by me, from what I know. It will be posted on Hosted Games, if they approve it.

didn’t chapter 4 get removed? or was it only the beginning of the chapter and hoco is the end of chapter 4? i was just wondering bc my demo ends at chapter 3 and i swear there was extra content past that at one point.

Chapter 4 got removed when I moved the demo to cogdemos, but I updated the first 3 chapters with all the new content from the last months. And yeah, it was an incomplete version of chapter 4.

But chapter 4 is coming soon to the public demo, as soon as I finish it!

Monthly Update

Yep, it’s monthly now. I’ll start with that first. I think some of the weekly updates are a bit underwhelming, especially if you don’t have access to the most recent demo and can actually try the things out that I’m talking about. So I’m going to start doing monthly updates publicly and keep the weekly ones only on Patreon.

Second thing, I thought I was going to be able to finish the chapter this month, which is why I’ve been quiet for so long, but I’ve failed. Still, I got incredibly far, so here’s a little list with everything I wrote:

Homecoming day is here! The day can start off with a big part of the targets finding Michael/Cecily’s dead dog’s head as a part of the art exhibit!

You can then show of your art piece to the crowd, have a little convo with Haley, and then ruin her painting with a bit of punch (well, one of the freshmen you paid to do it…).

Meet up with Dylan, talk about the dog head or the ruined painting, and start finding more about what he’s hiding…

Get a nice, motivating speech from Mr. Gibbs before the big game! Or banter with the Fighting Rooster while waiting for the team to come out.

Watch Cecily abdicate her Homecoming crown during the pre-game parade (and maybe get the crowd to shout “ew” at her or traumatize her as she gets back to the locker room to change and find a dog head)

Play in the first half of the Homecoming game and destabilize the team’s morale.

Cause a huge fight between Michael and Isaac as Michael finds his dog’s head in the locker room during half-time (and watch as Isaac tries to figure out what’s up with the dead lamb in his locker)!

Take charge during the half-time show and sing for the crowd as Ramon forgets the lyrics?

I’m writing the part where Connor hears his part in the Tragedy in his monitor now and wrote most of the cheerleading part for Vivian before she gets hit and falls from the pyramid.

What’s left is finishing the actual Homecoming game and then the Homecoming dance, which will be a slog-fest with the 5 potential dates, but it’s all necessary to the plot people! Otherwise we only got the Dylan and Olivia plans to happen, the Isaac/Vivian combination one, and the big one left. I don’t think there’ll be any after party to homecoming, considering the sheer size of those whole bit, so I’ll make sure to make the dance spicy!

Hello, do you have any appearance descriptions or face claims for the characters as I would like to make fanart? I only know a few basics like Isaac having red hair, but nothing specific

ROs:

Cecily - Medium to short blonde hair, blue eyes, fair skin, slender body

Michael - Short fade, dark skin, hair, and eyes, muscular

Olivia - Long raven hair (to tell you the truth that's all I actually had in mind for her)

Dylan - Dark hair with a K-Pop idol haircut, dark-gray-ish eyes, slender-build, Korean heritage

Isaac - Ginger curly hair, green eyes, lean-build

Haley - Ginger wavy hair, green eyes, curvaceous

Vivian - Haircut depends on the event, dark hair and skin, hazel-ish eyes

Connor - Long straight blond dyed hair (so brown roots I guess), blue eyes, rocking that jewelry (piercings, necklaces, rings)

Angela - Tan skin, light-brown wavy hair

Marcus - Bald with a goatie. Otherwise, have fun!

Weekly Update - May 12, 2025

The prep for homecoming is done. Well, 99% done, there’s still some fine tuning needed to be done, but the gist of it is done. The allies get a lot of screen time this time around, with a lot of opportunities for them to shine.

Now comes the interesting parts. We’ll see the results of the revenge plans and see how the big day goes. We’ll win (or lose) a baseball game, maybe perform on the stage between innings, and, who knows, become homecoming royalty?

Chapter 4’s end is in sight people, let’s get there and continue on discovering these peoples’ secrets and destroy them forever!

I'm pretty proud of it. Chapter 4 is also like 20% done, but I'll get it done this month 100%. I know most of you only care about how to get Cecily and Olivia to say yes to homecoming, so I'll get there as fast as I can.

hey! hope this finds you well, i loved the demo! i have a question, idk if it was answered but what are the ROs sexualities, like for SURE? i self insert myself in IFs so always play a gay male mc and we have 4 male ROs right? (5 if we count marcus) but at least in my playthrough:

Dylan have internalized homophobia/is closeted + rejects mc, Michael is in a relationship + rejects, and what bugs me the most is Connor always remaking that he is straight but what was that scene of him flirting with us on the hangout scene? even if was to appear more popular/inflict jeaulousy in Vivan, later when mc discovers he appears guilt, says that is straight again but agrees to go to another date with us for "making up" like what? 😭

he is so crazy, when we propose to him publicy, he even uses our proposal to make it seems like it was him that asked the other girl and remarks again about "being interest in woman, though he appreciates the gesture". he just uses mc

and then we have Isaac but that man is crazy as hel* (and hot) and Marcus (though for me he is like a side RO cause the focus is in the others)

so, what is left for the male mcs? what tf Connor is? 😭 sorry if this ask was rude or something and for being so long!! <33

(and sorry if this is spoilers, if you can't post this ask here i would appreciate a private answer if you could)

The ROs sexualities are, well, fluid. Everyone is player-sexual, but they're not your run of the mill player-sexual characters. They have some set sexualities at the start and can be, well, open to exploration.

But yeah, Connor is, at least in theory, straight. However, he's an odd duck and you'll notice he's a bit easy to influence if you learn which buttons to push.

And Dylan's a more straightforward case, which will just require a bit more time. Either way you will be able to romance him no matter the gender.

Michael is also a long-term investment, him being in a relationship and all. You gotta play the homewrecker role there.

Isaac is obviously insane, so you do you there.

And Marcus will slowly but surely get his time to shine. His character will shine more once revenge plots against Isaac start.
