i find that these days tumblr is still a better place for discussion (especially in depth discussion and analysis) but unfortunately for a lot of other things like art and even fandom memes twitter Is better....theres just more people there :/ tumblr fandom communities tend to be much more close knit too which can be a plus if u have a very active one...but then when those ppl leave stuff kinda dies. or if you just dont like the people who run the handful of more active blogs ur literally shit out of luck lmfao. i think a contributing factor is tumblr just straight up doesnt get many new users anymore. everybodys been here forever

Yeah tumblr's comment and ask systems are way more conducive to communication. Also, the cool thing about tumblr used to be how common reblogging was, as opposed to other social media where sharing/retweeting happened significantly less than likes. That's how heritage posts became a thing, posts spread. Here's the ratio on an art post of mine from 12 years ago:

And that was a huge-ass vertical lyricstuck with nearly 150 images, the kind of post people tend to be reluctant to reblog and inflict on their followers' dashboards. Nowadays, tumblr not only has less active users, but people are more likely to like than reblog.

This isn't a criticism. people are allowed to do whatever they want on their blog, I'm not gonna try to spin my stupid fanart not getting more attention as a societal ill. It's just a little sad that all the social media sites are becoming more and more alike instead of each having it's own thing.

In Naruto, Sakura's dream is to be a fighter on equal standing with Naruto and Sasuke; Hinata's dream is to be a ninja who never gives up. But in the epilogue chapter 700 they're both housewives. I haven't read or watched Boruto as a series, I think Sakura runs the medical division there? Regardless, not really reaching established dreams from the series alongside being parents/spouses like the guys are.

ANYWAY, my POINT IS. Does anyone know of other shonen spin-offs/epilogues where lead and supporting characters (particularly female ones) never achieve their dreams? Not tragedies or dark series, I'm talking battle manga.
