Mostly poems, although I might sneak in a picture or two, and can't promise not to comment on our current insanity.

How It Goes
I’ll hurt you – you will
also hurt me. In between . . .
such a moist sweetness!

Note
how much do you relate to the Taylor Swift lyric: ''It's me, hi, I'm the problem, it's me''?
0% honestly. I don't think I've ever actually been a problem for myself or anyone else

I rarely do this, but if you haven’t checked out EvaHouseWife yet — both here and on Only Fans — well, your life just isn’t complete. What are you waiting for?

when was it that I read John Dee
when Edward Kelly and Giordano
seemed like contemporaries     as familiar
as the Giants falling in the standings
long arc of sun rises over the redwood
last cool breezes before late afternoon
tall grasses bob and weave shyly
when was it when “it’s all one book”
made sense     when for a brief moment
someone turned over in Tartaros
and they called it climate change
Hamlet’s Mill     The Fall of Hyperion
what time is it?     a hundred o’clock
breezes barely visible now
a long argument continued
sotto voce     behind speech

poetry is part
of natural selection too
it wants you to admire
its attractiveness
so it can
propagate itself

I’ve decided to “out” myself on Tumblr by posting the cover of my new chapbook. I’ve only been familiar with the more salacious aspects of this site — which have afforded some pleasure and a few chats — but now I’d like to share work and ideas with any serious writers out there: it’s come to my recent attention that there are some! So let’s exchange some necessary information.

Eleusis
The tradition has come down to us that it was Homer and allegedly before him Pamphos, the writer of hymns, who first put “Persephone,” the name of the daughter, into a poem. The poets always preferred to speak of her without a name as the Kore, the “Maiden.” The different ways of writing her name on Attic vases may disclose a fluid situation somewhere between utterance and concealment. ----Kerenyi
two goddesses become one at Eleusis in September Demeter turned towards the light
her daughter to the soul
“For a Great Goddess could do just that: in a single figure which was at once Mother and Daughter, she could . . . combine the feminine attributes of the earth
with the inconstancy of the wandering moon.”
the lesser mysteries in spring
only a preparation the secular divine
“The Lesser Mysteries took place around February or March . . . According to Thomas Taylor, ‘the dramatic shows of the Lesser Mysteries occultly signified the miseries of the soul while in subjection to the body, so those of the Greater obscurely intimated, by mystic and splendid visions, the felicity of the soul both here and hereafter, when purified from the defilements of a material nature’” ---Wikipedia
Persephone rises like baseball half the year lately disfigured by wildfires
drought war crimes genocide
she might as well have stayed below
where labor disputes are invisible
Persephone has no personality
always the lost one the gap in the pattern nagging feeling of loss
she must have been here
because she sure feels gone
Persephone loved her mother
but never let her know most of her life was underground
the only things that surfaced
were hard to decipher
summits of sunken mountains
Persephone not like her mother
or Gaia or any other earth goddess she rules the underworld
invisible
imaginary
she can’t be seen she only smiles nobody speaks her language
blooms are miraculous but only because of what can’t be uttered
one of the ancient ones
makes the voice falter
the only goddess described as ineffable the poets preferred to speak of her
without a name

That Roe will soon be overturned . . .
should give solace to all the “breeders” on this site who indulge in pregnancy fantasies without the slightest consideration of the consequences. But it’s just fantasy, right? What’s the harm?
