there are so many times I have to just hold my tongue when posts about Dick's childhood pop up because I'm the biggest killjoy on the planet about it, and they're usually harmless so I hate ruining peoples' fun, but like.....no, he didn't travel the world as a child, Haly's was an American circus that usually only toured North America. Yes, he's an American citizen. His first language is English and he didn't really know much if any of the various Romani languages as a child (he learned as an adult, after the adoption arc). Any bullying he faced as a child was about his circus roots or (very rarely) his dead parents/being Bruce's 'charity case,' because he's white-passing and John/Mary (whichever of the Graysons has Romani heritage in the iteration of the story being told) were not particularly culturally immersed. Dick's circus elephant friend wasn't originally named Zitka in the comics (it was changed post-BTAS, which did use that name); she was named Elinore, and Dick's stuffed elephant Zitka is cute but complete fanon. He never seriously wanted to kill Zucco. The list goes on 😭
