Ok so personality disorders do not make people abusive - but there's something to be said about living with someone who has OCPD (which is often very treatment resistent, especially when the focus is on controlling others and not self) where they will unintentionally do things that are "abusive behaviors" without actually being abusive. This might just be the person with OCPD I know, but they will say super styreotypical manipulating/gaslighting lines without even knowing. They will say something so textbook manipulative without any intent to manipulate because they genuinely believe in what they said 😭 It sucks because sometimes you just have to ignore it because they refuse to stop saying those things, and you're just kind of being ragebaited. I definitely don't believe in personality disorders being abusive btw, I just thought it was interesting. Maybe my loved one is just a special case, and most OCPDers are less treatment resistant.

Might not apply to all ocpd havers so don't take my word for it !!
