I’m not sure if Kazama actually considered on taking her, or if he’s joking. But at any rate, he did look at her rather strangely throughout this scene; albeit acted like he ignored her, but at least he didn’t take her.

He honestly seems amused by her.

I really like their interaction, and I just love how Kimigiku snitched her out

Hi, I'm not the previous anon, but I hope you don't mind my input. I'm not sure that Sen is actually a higher rank than Kazama. Kazama is the most important demon of the west and Sen's clan only inhabits Kyoto. She isn't even a pure-blooded demon like Kazama and Chizuru. Also, I doubt she's considered royalty by other demons, because that was just a title that was given to her by the Emperor for working with him. Sorry if you already knew this, just thought I'd tell you in case you didn't know!

…this is Hakuouki, not Harry Potter. While it’s obvious that two purebloods mating will produce an even more powerful offspring, Kazama doesn’t even bring up that Sen isn’t pure-blooded; her lineage itself was good enough for him. There’s no mention of it at all in either his route or Heisuke’s route–it’s in Hijikata’s route. Likely, it might not even be common knowledge, even among demons, that Sen isn’t a pureblood.

Long tresses of indigo fold forward as his head tilted at the female’s words. Since times of long days passed, the Tsukishima clan had respected and regarded the Yase princess greatly. To have the privilege of having an audience with the woman was a great honor to him. As a lower ranking demon of his clan, never had he the opportunity to attend the summit meetings of Yase.

Crimsons looked down at the groaning male bodies with apparent disregard.

“A thousand apologies, my lady!” The fluidity of his bow echoed in his accordant tone. “I had merely wished to assist you.” It was strange to see such a high-ranking woman in Kyoto. The simmering need to know, to be informed boiled into fruition.

(姫) - The princess gave a quick nod at her guards that accompanied her as they made quick work of removing the offenders from the area, leaving only the female shinobi that stood a quiet watch beside her.

Umber hues grazed over the male before her, the corner of her lips tugged into an soft smile at his words.  “You show much promise. I admire your quick thinking and skill at handling those men,” she began, slender hands clasped together neatly in front of her chest. 

“Tsukishima is it? You bear resemblance to the Tsukishima clan leader--”

“Hime-sama we should bring you to a safer location.” the shinobi bowed in apology for disrupting before she outstretched an arm imploring the princess to follow.

A sound of agreement hummed off Sen’s lips, “Mnm... hai. You’re right Okikku,” she replied then turned to the male once more.

“Walk with me. I wish to know more about you.”

It wasn’t every day that she met oni from other clans outside of the Yase clan summits. Her curiosity piqued, she wanted to learn more about him.

Happy New Year!

I promise I will try not to ramble on and clutter your dashes. I wanted to thank you all for your love, friendship and support. I’ve only been in our little community for a little over a year, but over the course of this year, but sometimes it really does feel like it’s been longer. 

I sincerely treasure all the friendships I have made which initially stemmed for our love of Hakuouki. I am so grateful for all the times we spent together in both laughter and tears. I am truly blessed to have your love and support, which I often feel I am unworthy of. You all have given me beautiful memories and look forward to many, many more as we grow together in friendship. 

I am not going to list you all as this would need to be put under a read more and take up your entire dash. I want to thank you again for allowing me to be a part of your lives. No matter how small our interactions may have been; be it a like, a reblog, the lovely personal messages you leave me in my inbox, our RP threads, or chats offline. You are all important to me. 

I wish you all nothing but the best for the new year! May you find accomplishment and success in all your endeavors, may you always find that silver lining behind every cloud, may you luck and happiness follow you no matter where your path leads you and may your hearts always be full.
