i think the reason you're getting bot comments on your art is because you're tagging extremely common tags like "#art" and "#artists on tumblr" that aren't specific to certain fandoms, and because of how common those tags are, those tags are the most effective space for bots to scour and comment on.

i'm not 100% confident that's the reason, but that's what makes sense to me, and i have seen that same logic for other similar problems before. so maybe you can try not using tags like those on your next post and see whether or not you get bots? i don't use tags like those on my art and i don't get any bot comments. 👍

i guessed that was the reason but i find the bots funny :3

ok so bassically to make the effect you take an image and make a bunch of layers with it, bump the contrast to 100% while varying brightness, and set all the layers to difference (psst @im-gracing-out )
