Is kratos a true redhead? Does he have freckles? Did he need more healing magic compared to others when he was but a wee mortal? Does he sunburn badly

i.  is  kratos  a  true  redhead?

this  answer  is  both  a  yes  and  a  no.  as  a  child  kratos  had  a  hair  color  that  was  more  akin  to  a  freshly  roasted  chestnut  but  over  the  many  thousands  of  years  has  slowly  taken  on  a  more  reddish  pigmentation.  the  first  signs  of  this  where  when he  first  ingested  aeonis  (  an  extremely  rare  and  near  extinct  rock  from  the  kharlan  war  era  that  grants  humans  the  ability  to  harness  the  surrounding  mana  and  use  magic  ):  it  was  after  taking  this  ,  as  a  liquid  ,  that  kratos  started  to  notice  his  hair  become  lighter  and  lighter  before  darkening  into  the  subtle  shade  of  crimson  he's  sported  since  time  millennia.  though  ,  he  is  not  fully  sure  if  his  hair  color  change  was  fully  due  to  aeonis  or  its  shared  reaction  to  his  cruxis  crystal  (  the  only  otber  person  to  have  done  so  is  zero's  and  he  is  unfortunately  a  natural  redhead  ):  so  kratos  can  only  assume  but  has  never  had  concrete  evidence.

ii.  does  kratos  have  freckles

no  ,  he  does  not  but  the  trait  does  run  in  his  family  and  anna's.  his  late  mother  had  them  along  with  anna  herself  and the  trait  did  carry  down  to  lloyd  (  though  ,  they  are  not  as  noticeable  on  his  son  as  with  most  others  ):  kratos  has  always  enjoyed  the  visual  quirk  of  freckles  ,  as  they  both  remind  him  of  stars  and  his  mother.

iii.  did  he  need  more  healing  magic  compared  to  others  when  he  was  mortal?

in  the  original  world  of  aselia  ,  the  aurion  family  was  of  nobility  ---  kratos  was  a  highborn  who  ranked  third  amongst  most  important  amongst  all  in  the  kingdom  of  tethe'alla.  as  such  ,  it  was  rare  if  he  was  injured  at  all  before  he  joined  the  military  at  sixteen  and  then  prompted  to  the  royal  knights  around  his  mid-twenties  per  recommendation  by  general  sun  ( @florawept ):  joining  the  royal  knights  was  actually  kratos'  first  exposure  to  healing  magic  at all  and  he  is  very  adapt  with  a  blade  and  dagger  alike  in  his  present  form.  simply  put  ,  even  if  it  once  was  so  he  cannot  recall  and  can  hardly  be  injured  at  all.

iv.  does  kratos  sunburn  badly

not  at  all  ,  in  fact  kratos  tans  wonderfully  paired  with  the  twenty-five  percentage  of  power  granted  to  him  from  each  of the  summon  spirits  ,  along  with  maxwell  and  origin  after  the  transfer  kratos  noticed  his  skin  took  on  a  it  of  a  darker  hue  and  it  has  stuck  for  the  last  three  thousand  years  or  so.  it  is not  enough  to  make  much  difference  but  it  is  there  and  the  more  he  spends  in  the  sun  ,  it  gets  even  darker.  like  a  soft  caramel  complex.  pantone  limestone  -  honey  is  his  standard  range.

lives in the deepest parts of the dungeon, with a small handful of others ( majority are half-blooded celestials and a few are former tall man transfused with celestialian blood , his wife is a notable one ): while the others make up their secret village of sorts.

started eating monsters out of necessity thousands of years ago , but they quickly became his preferred type of nourishment, his favorite monsters are those with a likeness to the flora of typical eats.

one of the last surviving pure-blooded members of the celestial race ( known in the common tongue as “faeries / fairies” but modernized / lumped into the same category as “ancients” at times ): that supposedly died out hundreds of years ago, lives in dungeons as a mix between a recluse and archetype of ‘too old to care.'

celestials when their wings are not visible are mistaken for members of the tall-man race. they are a very long lived race ( those of mixed race heritage life between 4,000-6,000yrs typically ): due to this, they had an even lower birth than that of elves and back in their prime only had a handful of births every thousand or so years. celestials reach the age of maturity at 1,000yrs old but aren’t considered true “adults” until around 1,500 or so.

capable of using magic ( though not as strong as elves ): they also have enchanted strength like ogres/orcs, advanced hearing like half-foots, and are considered “jacks of all trades, masters of none”. because of their longevity it was an unspoken rule amongst all races that celestials where the book-keepers to history so to speak.

due to their duty as the world’s historians—it is what led to an all out war against them. as celestials are a near perfect blend of all other races, it was conspired at times amongst members of ‘cruxis’ ( a secret organization of celestials that sought to wipe out all other races ): however, to the public, it was an organization that sought the joining of all races to push the world into a new era of peace.

another fun fact is that kratos as the oldest living celestial ( a little over ten thousand ): has kept an extensive record of major world conflicts, changes amongst flora and fauna, social-economic issues, and knows the true origins behind the legend of the dungeon lord.

unlike most other races, celestials ( as a whole ): never saw an issue with interracial relationships, most notably as kratos wife is a tall man and his son, is a half-blood.

anna , kratos wife , was a human adventurer that fell really ill and no modern magicks would aid her , thus in his youth ( around 1,000 years or so ): kratos allowed his blood to be used in a transfusion to aid in saving her life ( by this process she was saved but also gained the perk of becoming long-lived, as if she was a half-blood ): this is an extremely close kept secret as sometimes , regular adventurers will come across their settlements but as a whole, they appear as nothing-more than a group of tall-men, elves, or half-foots not all half-bloods have tall-man lineage.

in conjunction to the above: it seems the mixed race children keeps the physical traits of the non-celestial raced parent but will have the longevity, wings, and enhanced senses of the celestial one—though, typically, their wings will present as feather-like instead of transparent like stained glass—though there are exceptions to this rule ): not even kratos is sure why this is.
