Our show was so much about the town that Wilmington really was a character in the, in the story when we started and you know, eight seasons in I think. And we had so many directors that would come in and, and they were doing their, they were doing good work but it was all focused on us and the it so much interior stuff. And I think that I'm just really glad any chance that we got to spend time outside on camera in Wilmington. 'cause I missed it. I missed seeing the town as a character and I didn't realize how much we had been missing it until you see it in all its glory in, in episodes like this and some others that I think are coming up. -Bethany

I think people, including me, hate it for the Naley airline

Assuming you meant story line, that’s a huge reason why I love it. Allowing them to navigate through figuring out how they can pursue their dreams while being together — and that they SHOULD do that! — was so necessary to the longevity of their story.

And the way Chris was woven in was so smart. I personally would have liked more of Haley/Chris and her confusion, but it was layered in how it was about her music and her passion and being 17 and not having the answers or knowing herself and making mistakes. It’s 100x better than anything they did with Nathan/Nanny Carrie later in the show. It’s thoughtful.

It also helped Nathan grow as a character and James Lafferty grow as an actor. We got to see him really emote and go THROUGH something, highs and lows and pain and longing.

I really loved this story. The only thing I didn’t love is the Taylor of it all, felt like unneeded conflict and just one too many layers.

And considering Nathan’s history and how Naley started it was needed watching her drive the ship for awhile and make the calls it put them on equal ground.

I genuinely don’t think it’s clear how much Nathan TRULY loves Haley (like in the way she loves him) until she leaves.

It also set up for their s3 arc which is freaking fantastic too.

And my more meaningful, honorable mention would be the, your performance joy. I thought you did a really good job portraying Hailey trying to come out from under the wet blanket of her depression. -Rob
