Think about the sound of artillery firing. Even simply guns nearby. There's no "getting used to" that as your constant reality.

The Madeleine ship set sail from Europe to Gaza, attempting to break the blockade. Swedish activist Greta Thunberg was on board. They set sail hoping to achieve even a little help for us, but unfortunately, the Nazi Zionist army kidnapped them from the territorial waters adjacent to the shores of Gaza. They will be handed over to the Israeli police immediately after their arrival, and they will be taken out and returned via Ben Gurion Airport to their countries. Their efforts will be in vain, and this will be met with silence and great international inaction, as every time.

through the darkness of the past few months there have been moments of hope. when a call to action catches and the streets fill. when someone does something so incredibly selfless. the madleen is proof of that. the caravan leaving algiers is proof. the protests catching on is proof. i do not idealize any of these things and the road is still long but truly it is a great reminder of how contagious courage and resistance are always.

I’m not asking for much… just to sleep without fear, to wake up to birds, not bombs. Hunger has become a part of me — not just for food, but for safety, for peace, for a normal day. Everything is running out: food, water, power… even hope.

need an abortion!!! (please don't scroll) Just another abortion fundraiser. my parents are religious fundamentalists who don't believe in it at all, and I'm only 18 so I'm still living at home. ever since they found out (three days ago) they have been trying to talk me out of getting one, and are now trying to get me to have a consultation with the pastor. they literally scheduled it for MONDAY and I know they're all going to pressure me. they KNOW I'm vulnerable since I don't have money to travel, otherwise I'd already be out of here and staying with my grandma, who ironically is the only progressive person in my immediate family trying to raise enough money to get out of here. I can take an uber but I've done the math and it will cost me about $300 since she lives a little over 4 hours away. I only have a cash app, it is $LissandraCard. I'll update as I get closer to my goal, thank you
