“I know, I know” Dumbledore reassured the worried students “You’ve all practiced for weeks, you want a little entertainment, it’s understandable. We know how important Quidditch is to everyone here.” he sighed, looking around the Great Hall, which was filled with disappointed faces. “However, health and safety is more important. It’s safe to say this winter has hit us hard and the weather conditions are too “extreme”, as they say, for Quidditch.” Dumbledore gestured towards the windows. The snow had covered the ground and where the danger of slipping on the ground wasn’t as severe, the possibility of icicles landing on your head were high. “Sometimes even magic can’t beat nature. It has been difficult for Hogwarts to maintain the familiar warmth inside the castle. I must say...“ he contemplated a bit before deciding to speak what was on his mind “This type of weather is very unnatural, even for this area, it has left everyone baffled, as you can see, the halls are cold, the classrooms are cold, even here you can feel the chill of winter. We will look more into it and find alternatives, but for now classes will be cancelled for two days, until the other teachers and myself have gathered enough material, time and energy to work on a charm to warm up the castle. As for Quidditch - well I’ve already told you, if anyone tries to fly up into the sky, I won’t be surprised if they freeze immediately and quite literally. “he chuckled a bit, not sure himself whether or not he was kidding. “You are advised to stay in your common room, by the fireplace, other places with bearable temperatures are the library and  the Great Hall.Don’t worry, we will work on making this comfortable for everyone. And...You can always look at this as a chance to bond.” he lifted his shoulders, not sure this statement was as uplifting as he wished it would be. “Don’t forget that the Aurors are still on duty and the curfew is far from non-mandatory.”

I hope you will all enjoy this event, whether your character is completely pissed, or they don’t care, being in such close proximity with everyone can definitely stir up something interesting, even drama and fights! I saw that you have Lily Evans as open, I would LOVE to play her if shes still open. I know you have to apply and everything but I wanted to check to see if there was even a chance that I could play my favorite character. Thanks! B I O G R A P H Y

Born into a rich, but close-minded, Muggle family, Amaryllis was taught from a very young age that she was special and destined for greatness, as she was gifted with an extremely high intelligence. From the time she was three, her parents had her future all planned out- she would study at the most prestigious girl’s school in England, then go on to win a scholarship to Oxford or Harvard, marry a rich husband, have children, and make loads of money, effectively keeping the family line one of the most affluent in the country. Due to this, her mother paid thousands to have one of the best tutors in the UK tutor her on everything she needed to know to get a good job, despite the fact that, at her age, she should have been in kindergarten playing with other children. Amaryllis didn’t want to study algebra and long division, however. While she was sitting in her schoolroom, effectively bored to death by the tutor’s monotonous droning, she would let her mind wander all over the house and into the fields beyond. One day, while she was supposed to be writing a seven-page paper on the dangers of globalization, she concentrated her attention on the bouquet of flowers next to the window, and somehow- she wasn’t sure how she had done it- upturned it on her teacher’s head without leaving her seat. Her parents and the tutor were terrified, and allowed her to quit her studies, as they didn’t want anyone else finding out she had what they were convinced were magical powers.

A couple of years later, her Hogwarts letter came, and she was taken into London to buy her school equipment. Her excitement at seeing the town and Diagon Alley gave way to ecstatic apprehension about the future. Hogwarts was a very different experience for her to how she had imagined, however. She had grown accustomed to being able to do exactly what she wanted, when she wanted, and it was extremely hard for her to adjust to the prospect of school. She became quiet and withdrawn, and wouldn’t talk to any other student- having little to no contact with students her own age, she was socially awkward and unsure how to talk to others. Her main focus became the library, and as she found that it expanded her imagination (which was both a blessing and a curse, considering it terrified and uplifted her) she spent all her time there. She became polite and passive to her teachers, didn’t argue or talk back- in fact, she hardly concentrated at all, preferring to stare out the window and lose herself in her daydreams. Now approaching seventeen, she is still mousey and quiet, but she has told herself that she will try to talk to students more and try and find some friends, though is extremely worried her ‘reputation’ as a book-crazy dreamer will jeopardize that.

Upon hearing that the girl was found dead, her imagination has gone into overdrive, and she now stays in the library most days after lessons, researching every legend that mentions the forbidden forest. She is suspicious of the students who woke up near the forest, and, having read up on the situations that happened in the past, is sure that they have something to do with it, though she isn’t sure what yet (she’s working on it!) She also believes that if she had friends, she would be able to do some extra investigating with them, driving her more towards the prospect of meeting new people.

Hello! I'm making an OC, and I have a face-claim but I'm thinking of getting two more. Do you have any ideas for female faceclaims who look similar to Amandla Stenberg (my current faceclaim), or do I only need one to submit my form?

I’m so glad you have an interest in joining us! I love doing faceclaim help, to be honest. If I can help you with it, I will! Now, as long as there are no problems with the faceclaim (being too young or old or already taken) we’ll accept your first choice. We always ask for the other two just in case. 

That being said, you asked so I’ll give you some suggestions. I don’t know anyone who looks similar to her, but I’ve tried to give you some suggestions that are similar in race and age.

I guess it depends on the gifs you use, I haven’t seen her used as much as Lily as other faceclaims, but if you have muse for using her for Lily, please do! This is why we wanted to leave the faceclaim option open for you guys, after all, everyone should work with whoever inspires them the most as fc. So, yes, it’s totally okay!

Can I get some prompts for a Lily para sample

You don’t know how happy I am to hear this! I’d love to have a Lily around here. I’m glad you’re interested in her! 

I definitely have a few suggestions for you. 

Forest Girl: Lily was one of the original six that woke up in the forest. Since then, four more have woken up there, though it is up to these characters (Frank, Remus, Regulus, and Marlene) whether they have told anyone. What does Lily feel about being one of those six? Was she scared, is she still scared? Or you could write about her actually waking up in the forest, or perhaps her telling someone about waking up in the forest. There are so many things here that the choice is really yours! 

Muggleborn: Though no one in the world of this roleplay knows about the existence of Death Eaters or Voldemort just yet, the tensions still exist between Muggleborns and Purebloods. What does Lily think about the world and all of it’s goings on?

Gryffindor: What did she think coming into Hogwarts? Severus was her only Wizarding friend and she was sorted before him - did she hope he’d be Gryffindor like her, or did she not care where he’d end up, thinking they’d be friends regardless? Did she still hope that somehow Petunia would get a letter as well? 

Hogsmeade: For less of an involved suggestion, what about a day at Hogsmeade? What went on that day, did she enjoy herself? Or perhaps she’s gone on dates with people there - where did she go, what does she think of Puddifoot’s? 

Pets: This one’s pretty simple: write about her first day in Diagon Alley! Did she get a pet? Was she scared getting her wand? Did she meet other wizarding children there, did she see Severus? 

If you need any more suggestions, or if anyone wants suggestions for a different character, please feel free to ask! I do love giving out suggestions like this, especially when it may lead to having some more people around - we’re always fond of new friendly faces.
