Big hugs to regressors who weren't treated kindly as kids.
Big hugs to regressors who are still unlearning a warped worldview they inherited growing up.
Big hugs to regressors who are frightened by the idea of being taken care of.
Big hugs to regressors who are bitter and resentful.
Big hugs to regressors who feel desperate and hollow.
Big hugs to regressors who worry that they've been tainted.
You deserved to feel safe, understood and wanted - and you still do, no matter how old you are, what you've seen or the things you've had to do.
It's okay to yearn and ache. You're not selfish for wishing things could be different. What you're doing is beautiful. There's a power in reclaiming the youth that others took from you, so embrace it.
It's not too late to be held gently, even if you have to do it yourself.
I truly do hope you find peace 🩷

Play ideas for chronically ill, disabled, or otherwise bed bound/low energy littles
Hi all! I am chronically ill. I am not comfortable sharing my specific diagnosis, but I am more than okay with talking about disability in general. Everything below is based on my own personal experiences and activities I like to do while stuck in bed. Everyone's body and experiences are different. I may list some things that just aren't an option for you, and that's okay. You are more than welcome to add on to this post with activities you do too!
Tumblr media
🐛 Open the curtains and cloud watch! I like to look for clouds that remind me of animals or characters and day dream a story about them. If the weather is nice, consider opening your window a little bit and letting some fresh air into your room.
🐦 Bird watch! I have a bird feeder outside my window that I painted myself from a kid's kit. There are also bird feeders that have suction cups that can be stuck right on your window. You can also make your own seed ornaments. You could pick yourself up a kids book or two on learning to identify birds.
🌷 Get a window planter. You may need someone's help to set one up, but once they are in place they are fairly easy to care for. I like pansies and marigolds because they remind me of childhood, and they are low maintenance and do well in containers.
📖 Audiobooks are great for middles who want to read chapter books. If you have a library card you can borrow tons of audiobook, ebooks, and comics through hoopla and Libby for free. There are some audiobooks for younger kiddo books, but honestly I think YouTube is better for that.
🖼️ Scrapbooks and journals! Being penpals with another little is also an option, but I do recommend using basic internet safety and common sense. (I don't think you should do this if you are under 18). You could always scan/take pictures of your letter and send it digitally to your penpal instead.
🛏️ If you spend a lot of time in bed, and have the money to do so, I really recommend getting items to make your time in bed more comfortable. Extra pillows, or even a reading pillow can be helpful. Lap desks or bed tables can give you space to color or set up play scenes with small toys.
🌟 You can also decorate the area around your bed to make it more child like! Fairy lights, glow in the dark stars, bed canopies, posters, and the like.
🪑 I have a floor chair I use for times I am playing outside of my bed. Being close to the floor helps me feel small, but not having back support hurts after a short while. I have an adjustable one that I can lay flat on the floor as a sleeping mat. Very helpful for the times when I need a quick nap after playtime.
🎨 Check the seasonal and kids sections at dollar stores and Five Below. I usually find fun craft kits that can keep me occupied for a bit for really cheap.
🧶 Do your own crafts! I like the knit and crochet. Some people can do them in bed, but I find it difficult to find a comfortable way to do that. However making friendship bracelets in bed works out pretty well. They make great gifts, even for non little friends. Or you could make matching ones for you and your CG or favorite plushie!
🪀 Make your own sensory bin! You can find tons of tutorials and ideas online. Bonus is you can get most of the items you would use at the dollar store. There are tons of other DIY sensory toys you can make as well if you look around. Glitter/shaker bottles are pretty popular too.
🐇 Cuddle with your stuffed animals. Tell them stories. Play pretend. Read to them. They will appreciate all of it.
🎮 If you have an old 3DS stuffed away in a drawer somewhere, pull it back out. 3DS are fairly easy to install homebrew and there are toooons of kiddo friendly games you could get (check 3ds.hacks.guide for this, do not follow tutorials on YouTube or random websites as they very well could be outdated)
💊 Decorate your medicine organizers with stickers. If you use mobility aids you can decorate them as well! Fake flowers are great for decorating mobility aids and there are tons of ideas you can find online.
🍼 I have stomach problems that makes it hard for me to eat enough. I often drink Ensure to make sure I am getting enough calories/nutrients. I get the strawberry flavor and sometimes put it in my sippy cup and pretend it is strawberry milk 😋
😴 If you need rest, rest! You deserve to get as much sleep as your body needs. Babies and toddlers take naps all the time! Trying to just exist with chronic health issues is difficult enough. You don't need to push yourself.

Advice for Autistic Littles
𓍊𓋼𓍊𓋼𓍊 𓍊𓋼𓍊𓋼𓍊 𓍊𓋼𓍊𓋼𓍊 𓍊𓋼𓍊𓋼𓍊 Some people may know, autistic kids tend to play a lot differently than their neurotypical friends. As someone who is autistic and is an age regressor, I find that the same thing is true, trying to figure out how to play is difficult! So I decided to make a list of ideas of how to play and hope it can help some other people too!
𓍊𓋼𓍊𓋼𓍊 𓍊𓋼𓍊𓋼𓍊 𓍊𓋼𓍊𓋼𓍊 𓍊𓋼𓍊𓋼𓍊
Brackets! grab a bunch of whatever you'd like to play with; plushies, small toys, rocks, anything! Use a piece of paper (or a small whiteboard!), draw up a bracket (search "sport bracket" if you're not sure what they look like), and fill in your toys names or descriptions! Next you gotta choose your competition, my go-tos are either coinflips or one of those sit-in-a-circle-sing-a-song elimination type games. Keep going until you have your winner, celebrate, and repeat! I can sit and do this for hours, and the fun part is the amount of variation you have!
Organize! Need something low energy but still engaging? Find something to sort into categories! You can use collections of toys like My Little Ponies or Littlest Pet Shops, more mundane objects like poker chips or rocks, or different coloured candies if you want to add in a fun snack! Just make sure not to eat too many
Crafts! While this will be different for everyone, I find crafts to be a lot easier to understand than playing. Get some easy craft kits at the dollar store or set up something before you regress! Preferably something easy and simple (and for me, colourful!)
Sensory play! Have you seen those videos of people making sensory bins for their kids? Why not try them when regressed! You can customize them to you, whether you're more of a visual, auditory, or textile stimmer, and are usually pretty simple to set up! You can also use fidget toys for this!
𓍊𓋼𓍊𓋼𓍊 𓍊𓋼𓍊𓋼𓍊 𓍊𓋼𓍊𓋼𓍊 𓍊𓋼𓍊𓋼𓍊
I know it may not be much, but I hope this can help someone! And as a reminder to my fellow autistic littles, you are just as valid as any other regressor, even if the way you regress is a bit different
If you have any other suggestions feel free to add on!

Today is International Day of Play! We hope you all remember how healing it is to play, no matter how old you are.
When I was little, I remember seeing two old ladies in McDonald's playing with their happy meal toys, making them talk to each other. That was the moment I decided "I'm going to be like them when I'm 80!"
So here's a message from some of the Griffinkid crew: however old you get, never lose your ability to play 🧸

Important reminder!
Regression does not equal baby. Regressing is not always bottles and sippy cups and pacifiers.
I think it's easy to feel like you're doing it wrong sometimes, to feel frustrated, in a community where younger regressors are the norm.
You can regress to any age or age range. Baby, kid, teen, young adult, or even a mix of them. You're not doing it wrong. And you don't have to make yourself fit into other boxes that don't fit you.
Your experience is valid, regardless of what's common to see online.

Tips for Age dysphoria
Hi kiddos! You already knew that I have age dysphoria, it means that my internal age doesn't match my body. I don't know if it's because of trauma or my autism but I have it for a long time. Sometimes it's really hard and painful so these are few tips that I use to deal with it, hope you'll find them helpful!
○ Wear oversized clothes with cartoon characters or things that make you feel tiny! Looking at the mirror and seeing a kid outfit will help you feel better!
○ If you have a bad age dysphoria day replace  your normal dishes with kids dishes! Your toothbrush with one with dinosaurs! Your glasses with sippy cups and bottles! Your socks with mismatched disney socks! Try to make your everyday life more tiny!
○ Watch kids cartoons! Instead of watching news or big TV show when I feel age dysphoria I only watch kids cartoons and I try to pick the kid that resembles me the most. So while watching I repeat something like "he's just like me! He's me!" And that make me feel so much better!
○ You can also create a visual board or fill a journal with kids from movies, cartoons or series that you think represents you the most! I usually look at mine in my journal and it's very useful and a stimming activity too!
○ Draw yourself as a kid! You can use a picture reference if you want to capture a particular that you had as a kid but the drawing doesn't have to be good! I usually draw myself next to my plushies and I make me with their same height eheh!
○ Read books aimed to a certain age! In library you can find books for different ages they even have sections for that so you can pick whatever suits your internal age!
○ Decorate your room for your younger self! Add posters! Stickers! Colorful flags and drawings! Stuffies corners! Soft blankets! A small table to draw while sitting on the floor! A drawer just for toys and onesie and your pacis! And if you need to be subtle you can also decorate under your bed or inside of your wardrobe!
I hope these tips helped you! They certainly help me feel better! If you find difficult to take care of yourself use a picture of you as a kid and do it for that version of you okay? You deserve love and kindness and happiness as everyone else, remember that! Big hugs kiddos! Have a great day/night!
Remember that you CAN like and reblog but you CAN'T repost even with credits or use the tag #mine under this post

age regressors whos partner/girlfriend/boyfriend/wife/husband is your caregiver: you are valid. you are not doing anything wrong, you are not tainting either relationship, and whatever you do in your own relationship between the two of you is YOUR business alone. dont let anyone make you feel like you are wrong for the way your age regression interacts with your relationship 💕🫶

I miss the old internet. I miss being cringe and not thinking twice about it. I miss playing dress up games and sharing the silly outfits we made. I miss not caring about numbers or what people thought of me. I miss posting ugly sketches on deviantart. I miss watching low res anime in 3 parts on old YouTube. I miss customizing my layouts on every site I could with too many images and glittery graphics. I miss active forums and talking about niche interests. I miss the simplicity of everything.

✿MIKUS TOP 10 TIPS FOR AGE REGRESSING!!!✿
====================================
CG related :
🍼 - Have your CG baby talk with you, it can put your mind into a younger state.
🍼 - Watch a "children's" movie with your CG, maybe even get a snack while watching.
🍼 - Look up "childish" activities to do with your CG, they can put your mind at ease and regress.
Hygiene related :
🫧 - Take a bubble bath! Because bubbles = calm chaos, and calm chaos = "childish"
🫧 - Look up some hygiene related activities. An idea for one is "sing while brushing your teeth", something like that.
🫧 - Get cute bath toys, cute towels, toothbrushes, soap, any hygiene item that can be considered "childish".
Comfort related :
🧸 - Find something to draw/color, that's one of the biggest things that help people regress.
🧸 - Do a playdate with another little maybe, they can help you get into a younger mindset with their own.
🧸 - Use a paci, maybe drink water out of a bottle/sippy, those types of things.
🧸 - Listen to calming music while playing with your stuffies, I can list a playlist in a future post if you need.
Extra:
💗 - Drink water and eat food, it's important for your health. Remember, I love you and I'm happy your still here!
