Dear vector prime. These designs look surprisingly similar to a pair of auxiliary dinobots from the unified continuity au I'm working on compiling information for. If it's okay with you I'd like to use the names spear and spout for them because I hadn't had any luck translating the cybertronian names for them into a language I can understandw
Dear Vector Prime
Are there any additional mammoth and smilodon members among the combined members of Volcanicus?
Dear Prehistoric Plus,
Wheeljack once proposed creating new Dinobots based on smilodon and mastodon fossils, but Grimlock protested: "Wheeljack stupid! Those not dinosaurs at all!" Wheeljack's attempts to explain that Swoop was not technically a dinosaur either fell on deaf audio-receptors.

I freaking love changing gears, and earlier in the 849 when it had more of the fun energy than the point it's at now
Ask Game: how about an AU where Midoriya inherits a transferable quirk that isn't related to OFA or AFO whatsoever?
The Villain Hemlock, 12th holder of the transferable Quirk known as Phantasm, got his ass beat by Star And Stripe and fled. Star blames herself for this and requests priority on this case, giving her free reign from the WHA to pursue the 13th holder, Valdo Gollini, when he reveals himself and runs to Japan to see if senpai will notice him. She then beats his ass too. However, during this fight, Phantasm disappears.
First-Year Junior High student Midoriya was one of the people caught up in the fight, and the one who happened to be closest when Valdo lost. With the adrenaline, he didn't notice something connecting to his spine. He did however notice when he started developing secondary Quirk mutations a few days later.
Phantasm's known lineage of Villainy means that it's pretty much the Evil Quirk. And just by having it, Midoriya knows he's now Public Enemy Number One as soon as anyone else realizes (All For One sneezes twice). If he attends UA, they'll find out about it immediately. His dreams of being a Hero are well and truly over now. Dramatic irony is a theatrical effect in which
Midoriya, being a colossal Quirk nerd, of course had already researched Phantasm and knew the Quirks within it. Only Valdo's Alchemy is new information. This gives him a bit of a leg up on getting to grips with his new powers. Like using Blood Garden to produce plant fibers so he can slightly increase the size of his clothes with Alchemy to hide the new tail.
A few months later, Midoriya debuts as a Vigilante, hiding what his actual Quirk(s) are but unable to stop himself from helping other people. Some of the other kids at Aldera actually become fans of his Vigilante persona.
+1. For high school, Midoriya chooses to attend Besupin Academy, a normal, civilian high school while continuing to moonlight as a Vigilante. He joins the Film Studies Club! He makes friends! He's having a great time!
Design notes: I chose to make Midoriya the 14th holder of Phantasm because that breaks an 'Unlucky 13' of previous Villains. Currently leaning towards not having vestiges due to how the Quirk is transferred compared to OFA/AFO. I do also have all thirteen Quirks picked out already, but listing them here would be beyond scope.

That doesn't really make it hurt less, although you're not wrong. It's hard even considering befriending a human when you know that you'll still be around and basically unchanged centuries after the humans bones have turned to dust in their grave. Although I can't believe my old man somehow held on and refused to die until after I returned to earth so he could see his daughter one last time. As depressing as it sounds, it was kinda nice not coming home only to find out I'd missed my own father's funeral
From: sari (of the unified continuity)
So, how do you handle the difference in lifespan between humans and cybertronians? Because I'm apparently what's called a realized techno organic so I've got all the strengths of both human and cybertronian physiology with less of the weaknesses. And one of those is a massively boosted lifespan. I'd left earth a couple months after my friend Cody's 25th birthday party so I could go on an adventure with bulkhead and the rest of the team, and I swear I was only gone maybe 3 years at the most. Nope, I went to go check on him and was met at the door by his adult granddaughter, because apparently it hasn't been 3 years, but instead 67 years. And now the same bright kid I was good friends with is lying on his bed dying of old age, and I don't even look like I've aged a day in the almost 70 years I've been off world. Any suggestions for how to make the realization that I'm going to outlive pretty much everyone i know on earth by centuries hurt less?
From: sari (of the unified continuity)
First off, I am sorry about ur friend. Second off, quite simply, I don't interact with humans. Ever since the Autobots first landed on Earth and found out how short a human lifespan is, I learned that it's not smart to get attached to any of them. The best thing you can do is to just not make friends with humans it does sound bad, yeah.

In the defense of my timelines version of the decepticons, while everyone is nominally a decepticon, the truth is that the majority of my version of the decepticons are members of various subgroups that only really owe loyalty to their members and to lord Megatron. Also, you have no kidding regarding tarantulas (especially the version I'm familiar with) since I'll be perfectly honest and say he's basically a second shockwave, if shockwave took sadistic glee in performing twisted and sadistic experiments on bots instead of just cold and emotionless logic. While still technically a part of the decepticon cause, toxitron's hazard team are probably the best thing that ever happened to me. Because, save for oil slick (who somehow manages to be extremely caring for us while still being an absolutely terrible person), the group's pretty much composed of warped clones like me. Between toxitron (a warped clone of Optimus prime with toxic powers), meltdown (a clone of toxitron with weaker toxic powers), dead end 2 (the half undead clone with a heart of tox-en and brought to life through the union of ancient dark magic and the latest in decepticon military engineering), myself, acid storm (the warped result of trying to fuse the cna of vortex the combaticon and ion storm of the rainmakers), and oil slick (the only one of us who isn't some variety of warped or twisted clone) I've found a place I can call home. Plus we've still got to break out my sister (? Would that be the right term to refer to the femme I thought I was and who I was actually cloned from?) because she was recaptured and tarantulas has her, and I heard rumors that his new restraints he's planning on using are capable of withstanding beyond the temperatures she's capable of enduring bringing glow to. Plus the rest of hazard team has previously said that they'd help me make tarantulas bleed for what he did to elita one
I'm directing this question at slipstream, but do you have any suggestions for a femme who just recently discovered that she wasn't the original and was actually a clone of them? Basically I semi recently found out that apparently Arcee didn't actually leave me for dead in tarantulas' clutches. Nope, instead I'm actually a clone of the real firestar that tarantulas made when firestar was captured the first time. Then he forced me to overclock firestar's glow ability (her name comes from her ability to make any part of her outer frame but especially her hands glow with a warm light, but she can't do it for too long because the glow comes from the section of armor plating rapidly heating up and doing it for too long can cause permanent damage) across my entire body until the metal comprising my body almost but not quite melted, then he forcibly fused bits and pieces of a clone of arcee he'd made into me. Positive side? My heat generation ability became massively stronger yet no longer works on my own plating just anything I touch. And it's so powerful that with but the touch of mine digits and a little focus i can superheat metal to the point it runs off almost like water. Minus side? This power increase came at the cost of experiencing tarantulas' twisted experiments and nearly getting offlined at least a dozen times.
From: flameware (of the unified continuity)
I- of course tarantulas is causing more scrap I- the best suggestion I have is to try and stay away from both Autobots and Decepticons and try to find a neutral group if you're looking to join any groups or whatever they're called.

So, I have to apologize for the significant gap in time between my last post and now. I had been looking through wheeljack's older reports and trying to decide what to mention next, but I accidentally bumped into one of the freaking towers of data pads wheeljack just left lying around. I don't know how Wheeljack can find anything in that absolute mess he calls his data pad records room
Anyways, regardless of the frustrating mess I'm now currently in the process of trying to resort into an actually functional and navigating records room, I can at least mention one of Wheeljack's older inventions. On the subject of the invention in question, the grapple glove is a type of transforming brass knuckle like device that fits over the hand and partially up the forearm. The grapple glove is named for the integrated over the forearm mounted grappling hook launcher mechanism built into the glove like device

So, I was looking back at some of the older documents Wheeljack had handed me when he put me on this whole job of fielding your questions. Well I really got to ask where they got the idea that broadside was a headmaster. Or how it escaped the one responsible for writing up that particular document that blunderbuss is the name of a pair of titan master twins, one whose body is a lighter grey and the other a much darker grey. So, the lighter grey colored titan master doesn't exactly grant broadside a new power like many other titan masters do, but instead massively empowers the mass shifting aspect of broadside's transformation capability. This is actually the reason for the confusion regarding broadside's size and alt mode, because thanks to blunderbuss broadside can mass shift between the towering golden yellow titan with an appropriately massive tracked cargo freighter transport vehicle alt mode and a merely voyager class gunmetal grey and silver bot with an assault jet vehicle mode. The darker grey colored blunderbuss on the other hand grants broadside a significant boost to the range and sensory capabilities of his radar and sonar systems

So, I'll freely admit that I never really personally knew dragstrip as an individual prior to the battle for velocitron, and I couldn't exactly do so afterwards considering that the con was kinda dead. To be perfectly honest the most I personally knew of dragstrip was that the stunticon was a murdering egotistical victory obsessed braggart of a decepticon. The most knowledge I personally have regarding him is what I know of his preference for a gravito gun as a sidearm. The weapon in question is actually an interesting case where instead of a projectile munition based weapon like most bots and cons utilize, the gravito gun uses an interesting combination of miniature graviton generators to achieve a gravitational force boosting effect. The way they achieve this is through multiple different types of graviton generators, while some merely produce free floating gravitons others produce either a gravitational tether or a temporary gravitational well. The peculiar interactions between these manifestations of generated gravitons result in the creation of a directed zone of boosted gravitational force.
Moving on from the gravito gun before I get further into the discussion on how gravitational force can be weaponized via precision manipulation of artificially generated graviton particles, the truth is that for all the faults dragstrip may have had he still laid down his life to protect not just velocitron but also her people. Marshalling that same victory minded ego, dragstrip used his speed to put his own body between enemy fire and easily dozens of the evacuating velocitron civilians. Even as his body accrued more and more damage, I can't help but admit that dragstrip truly fought for those who couldn't protect themselves that day. Whatever his faults, whatever his faults I cannot help but acknowledge that dragstrip died a hero. Whatever his actions before the battle for velocitron, dragstrip truly earned his place on the tracks of trailcutter's golden road. Sorry, I should probably explain who and what that is. To make a long story short, trailcutter is the long dead bot responsible for constructing the first of the countless tracks that cover velocitron's surface. He's also the first high override, the title the people of velocitron call their leader, and according to the beliefs of their culture they believe that in the afterlife there's a great hall overseen by trailcutter where the greatest heroes of velocitron sit and toast to their fellows actions, and that both beyond and around that sacred hall is a great golden race track overseen by trailcutter and upon which those great heroes take their place to race again and again for all of time.
Anyways, for all his faults I can't help but agree with velocitron's current high override and those regular velocitron natives I've met, that dragstrip genuinely truly earned himself a spot amongst the heroes that sit with trailcutter in his hall and race upon that golden track. For all his flaws, dragstrip truly died a hero's death

So, I'll be perfectly honest and say that the whole thing I'm trying with the "let's talk with swoop" is partly inspiration from the multiple alternate characters the ask vector prime Tumblr has done, and partly an attempt to make it so I can keep my focus/interest in focusing on the unified continuity. While I'll be trying to have a related "swoop's log" where I continue my posts on what draws my interest, and the Halloween/thanksgiving season themed posts. The main point of the "let's talk with swoop" is because I'd like to hear the community's questions, whether from the three followers I've got or from just regular members of the transformers Tumblr community, regarding anything and everything that draws your curiosity regarding my unified continuity.
So, please send me messages, asks, or even just reply to my posts with your questions and I'll do my best to answer them through "let's talk with swoop"

Umm, hello
I might not know how your reality might have been influenced by the aftershocks of the quintessons' detonation of so many cross timeline resonance bombs, however I'll still do my best to answer any questions you might have for me. Understandably I'll do my best to keep the tangents down, and the usage of more technical terms as infrequently used as possible. Anyways, whatever questions you might have, just send them my way and I'll do my best to answer them
Signed,
Swoop of the dinobots

Listen, it's Wheeljack here, and while I wouldn't normally be this gruff. And in fact had things been the way they normally are, I'd happily sit down and discuss whatever you might be curious about, things aren't the way they normally are. While the revelation war itself is finally done and over with, thank the primes for that, as part of their last efforts to triumph over us the quintessons' deployed numerous cross timeline resonance bombs in an attempt to use the resulting chaos and disorder in the ranks to slaughter the alliance of cultures that stood against them. While personally, I'm coping with the additional memories and newly gained handheld explosives usage skill, other bots and cons alike are far less well off from having bits and pieces of their alternate selves forcibly integrated into their body and/or memory. With how I've still got to do diagnostics checks on the rest of the newly expanded dinobot team, I'm going to put swoop on the job to field any questions you might have

Name: swoop
Gender: female
Personality type: good natured, friendly, kind, prone to tangents where she utilizes complicated technical terms to describe things
Faction: autobot
Subgroup: dinobot
Function: aerial combat specialist, bombardier, technological specialist
Weapons: underslung wing mounted single fire twin missile batteries, thermal arming sword, thermal spiked flail, retractable combat claws
Bio: originally serving as the dinobots' air combat specialist, while also providing support to her ground bases allies via targeted bombardment of ground targets. Following her team's escape from shockwave's lab, and the experimentation the amoral decepticon scientist had performed on them, swoop found herself fulfilling a role better described as part technological support and part older sister to most of her team. This is a peculiar situation when, of the original five members of the lightning strike coalition team, swoop was the youngest of the five. Swoop has a tendency to go on tangents, with a related predilection towards using complicated and advanced technical terms to describe things, however while the complicated terms may fly over the heads of the other dinobots' they still listen quite happily to her tangents with good cheer and a fond smile. Even if the complicated terms swoop uses leaves the rest of the team utterly confused on what she's talking about, they'll still happily listen to their sister as she goes on a long winded and complicated explanation that may or may not actually relate to the current situation or environment.
