Reference for Dire Crowley in the Rose-Read Tyrant novel (EN translation)

A man in a curious outfit stood before him in the hallway. The top hat perched on his head and the long coat that hung from his shoulders exaggerated his height and drew the eye. He carried an imposing cane shaped like a key. More conspicuously, however, was the black mask he wore over his pale face, covering his forehead and reaching down below his glittering golden eyes. The mask’s nose was sharply pointed, like a bird’s beak. (Pg. 20)

The man extended a graceful arm to the bewildered Yuya, like a bird spreading its wings…flames sparked to life on the candles affixed to the walls. (Pg. 22-23)

Yuya looked up to see that Crowley’s pale lips were pulled up into a grin… “Aah, this should be fun, hm!” He cried. “I’m simply dying to know which dorm will be chosen for you!” The man in the mask clasped his hands together with glee. (Pg. 25)

“Students!” Crowley said, voice projecting outward as the door swung open forcefully, even though he had not so much as laid a finger on it. (Pg. 25)

When all the students in the school glared at the Headmage, he hurriedly waved his hands in defensive protest. (Pg. 38)

Crowley sighed, clearly disheartened. Yuya couldn’t help but wonder how he was able to express such emotion when the majority of his face was covered by that mask…Perhaps Crowley felt better after wallowing in his emotions for a moment. (Pg. 43)

Before he knew it, he had taken both of Crowley’s gloved hands in his own, overwhelmed with gratitude. “Mm, there’s a good boy. Wonderful! My kindness truly knows no bounds!” Crowley smiled, playfully. (Pg. 47)

“It’s beautiful.” Yuya murmured… “Isn’t it, though?”Crolwey puffed up his chest up proudly. (Pg. 50)

The key ring at Crowley’s waist jangled as he pulled it out and unerringly plucked an unadorned silver key from the dozens of other keys. (Pg. 52)

He righted a candle stand that had fallen on top of the hearth and set a hand over it. The candles immediately sprang to life and set small shadows. (Pg. 53)

Crowley grinned and dipped his head, causing spiderwebs to catch on his top hat. (Pg. 53)

Crowley’s eyes shone. It was hard to tell because of the mask he was wearing, but his mouth was curling up slightly in what appeared to be a smile (Pg. 73)

Crowley had an oddly detached air despite his exaggerated expressions of delight, surprise, and sadness. He was a strange person, but he was also the only person Yuya could count on at the moment, as he’d given him food and a place to live. Though he seemed to be a bit half-baked, perhaps he really was just as kind and benevolent as he repeatedly insisted he was. Yuya had no choice but to have faith in that. (Pg. 78)

The Headmage staggered back dramatically, the back of one hand pressed to his forehead. “It can’t be,” he moaned. (Pg. 102)

“Naturally,” Crowley replied as he freed them from their magical bonds… “Once classes are over, I expect the three of you to be good little boys and clean those windows together.” (Pg. 103)

The wings attached to Crowley’s coat looked as though they were standing on end. Yuya reflexively took a step back at the powerful aura of wrath hanging over the headmage…this was the first time Yuya had seen him so angry. (Pg. 124)

“I can bear it no longer. I have never encountered such terrible students before.” He took a deep breath and slammed his staff against the floor. The cold clack echoed through the dining hall. (Pg. 124)

“Aah,” he said sadly and crouched down. Reverently, he scooped up what he’d found and wrapped it in a black handkerchief. (Pg. 126)

When they were done explaining how they had finally overcome it, Crowley covered his hand with his hands… “It can’t be.” Crowley sniffled and pressed his hands to his mask. (Pg. 151-152)

Sniffling, Crowley tentatively patted Yuya’s shoulder…He fell silent then, the eyes that peeked out from behind his mask firmly focused on Yuya. (Pg. 153)

“Ooooh! Aaaah! Beautifuuuul!” …When he looked back, the Headmage was standing there, pressing a handkerchief to the corners of his eyes. (Pg. 287)

How long had he been standing there? The Headmage’s black clothes blended into the night like camouflage. “Friendship in conflict, the passion of youth,” the Headmage sighed. “It’s tremendously moving. I might just use Mr. Trappola's words in my next speech before the student body." (Pg. 287)

A single eye closed beneath his mask. A wink, apparently. (Pg. 288)

“Headmage? T-this is-“ Cater began as he stood up, and the Headmage checked him with a hand. “Now, now. It’s not the least bit unusual for there to be trouble in a dorm. Naturally, it’d be best if there weren’t, but we must make do.” (Pg. 288)

The Headmage…cleared his throat, taking his place before them, as if he were about to start a lecture. He clasped his hands behind his back and looked at them professorially. (Pg. 294)

Crowley checked that they were all paying attention, and then broke out into a smile…”Safety first.” The Headmage gave them all sunny thumbs-up. (Pg. 296)

“Cease this improper behavior now, Mr. Rosehearts. I expect better from you!” The Headmage repelled the magic that came flying at Trey. “What happened to the rules that you have always so respected?” (Pg. 326)

The Headmage quickly held up his scepter to cast a spell, and a veillike film appeared, with him in the center, protecting Yuya and the others from the knifelike leaves of the bush. (Pg. 334)

Riddle had shifted his ire…to students farther away. Crowley threw a protective spell their way. (Pg. 335)

“Mr. Diamond is correct,” said the Headmage, crouched by his side. His face had been grim ever since he’d turned from evacuating the other students and they’d told him Riddle wouldn’t wake up. (Pg. 353)

Final personal notes:

• Far more casual and repeated mentions to Crowley’s magic compared to the manga and especially the game

•Crowley has caught the Crewel-bug with the new additions of “that’s a good boy” and “be good little boys”

• Multiple mentions to his “pale lips” despite the canonical color being quite the opposite at a dark blue-ish purple. I did not document this in the post, but at one point Crowley’s golden claw ring is instead described as a “gold fingernail.”

• He carries a black handkerchief with him! Amazing! 💖

• The cafeteria scene where he slams his staff to the ground, creating a cold clack, reminds me very much of Maleficent with how it’s described.

• Much of his dialogue in the library scene pre-duel with Riddle was rewritten, showing a more playful and emotive attitude compared to his scolding yells in-game.

• The descriptions of his Whip of Love deserve an entirely separate post BSJXJDD, along with the other staff member descriptions

TWST brazilian portuguese dub confirmed!!

Anime Friends 2025 had a disney+ panel which confirmed the PTBR dub with guest VA Bia Menezes (known to voice Tohru from Miss Kobayashi, Amy Rose) who is confirmed to voice Alice!! that means that yes, the DREAMS which showcase the dsny movies scenes will also be fully voiced 🤔I wonder if the original VAs for some of the iconic characters might actually come back in their respective dubs

Unfortunately there was very little information in that panel (I wasn't there but people who attended said there was little promotion and it was vry short 😔) no VAs for the main cast confirmed yet!

Uuuh apparently there was a mistake that ''Piece of my world'' got written as ''Piece of my MOUTH'' instead? 😭 h-how does this happen,,,

✨️Happy Birthday Reve Crowley July 7th✨️

Celebrating my twst OC's birthday for the first time! I missed Reve's birthday last year due to some university reasons, so I couldn't miss this one

The reason I made Reve's birthday July 7th is because this day is known as Tanabata(or Qixi, in Chinese, and Chilseok, in Korean). There is a story related to this day, where magpies and crows made a bridge with their bodies to let Altair and Vega meet each other. It's a special story where crows are involved, so I decided to make July 7th Reve's birthday

The concept for this art is Reve having free time, away from school. He's at a special place he knows, where he can see the stars bright. There's also his friend and familiar, Hilda. It's been long since I've ever drawn Hilda, so I put her in. Hilda was Reve's birthday present, also
