Hello everyone. I am not sure if I will be fully active on this RP account ever again but at the moment I highly doubt it. I decided to leave this blog a long time ago and I think it is obvious - I’ve been on a hiatus for over 1 year.

Why did I leave? There is multiple reasons.

For once, I started to feel very uncomfortable with one particular person I roleplayed with. To me, it felt less of a dialogue but more like they were using me to develop their own character; not caring much about mine. Yes, I know I simply could’ve told them what my problem is and/or blocked them - though they were very popular within the community and kept popping up - I wasn’t in a very confident mindset and my avoiding nature has always been a problem to me; so yes, I just avoided any conflict and disappeared. Since it wasn’t my only reason to leave that’s okay though. Secondly, Ronja is not just a regular OC for me. She is a character I use to self-insert; so there is a very deep emotional connection and I fear I am too vulnerable like this to be open to rp just with anyone. To further explain this point: I am deep into self-shipping; I have been self-inserting and -shipping since when I was just about 6; it was and still is a way to cope with trauma I experienced very early on. As a result, I have never been interested in real-life people but am fictophilic.

Now what exactly does that mean?

I am attracted to some fictional characters and it can go as far as me creating a character to insert myself with into their universe [In the case of Overwatch it is Ronja] to have a relationship with the character I fell in love with [In the case of Overwatch it is Jesse McCree]. I developed a very strong emotional bond towards this character and it prooves to be difficult when it comes to open roleplay communities. You see, in my heart, my selfship is canon but I know I can’t just expect everyone to understand and share that opinion. And that can cause me to feel sick or hurt very easily.

Overall, I feel too vulnerable to be rping on a platform like tumblr; with a character I use to self-insert with anyway. I do still roleplay as Ronja, but it is on Discord and in private and with people I fully trust.

Anyway, if you are interested in Ronja apart from roleplays, I still post content about her on my art blog or self-shipping blog every now and then. If you are strictly against self-shipping or OC x Canon, I suggest you stay away from these and leave me alone, please. Otherwise, I’d be more than happy to see you over there! Other ways to contact me are my main tumblr and my twitter accounts of course; I’m not giving away my Discord to everyone, but you can ask of course. That all being said, I will not delete this blog and may log in every now and then to reblog content about Ronja - but you can just unfollow if you’re not interested at all!
