#5 Free Self-Care Apps
#5 Free Self-Care Apps
There’s so many wellness apps out there to wade through, it can be a bit overwhelming knowing which ones to choose! Especially if our budget restricts us to the free versions only… Being stuck in that boat before, I’ve tried and tested many of the free, and “free” apps out there, and thought I’d share with you the picks that have earned their place on my phone screen- helping me to stick to my…

#5 Self-Love Journal Prompts
#5 Self-Love Journal Prompts
Woah! Where did the time go? I can’t believe we’re at the time of year I said I’d start working on January’s Journal Series! If you missed it, earlier this year I released a free, 30-day journal series; packed full of prompts, tools, meditations, and ideas on re-connecting with yourself- for those times you feel off-track and need some insight and structure to get back to where you want to be…

What is Eco-Therapy?
Whilst the word might conjure up images of beach-cleaning weekends and the likes of what Greta Thunberg might practice for her self-care- Eco-therapy isn’t just about doing good things for the environment in exchange for better mental health- It’s actually more of an umbrella term for a lot, and I mean A LOT of different ways of hanging out with nature! And not just for mental health…

What We Can Learn From the Selfishness of a Tree
What We Can Learn From the Selfishness of a Tree
We’re definitely in for a warm beverage, bundled up in a blanket kinda read this morning- As we continue on with the unofficial part two to why bother with self-care! Like I said last week, there’s a tonne of articles out there already on the benefits to self-care, and me chucking another regurgitated round of how healthy and awesome we’ll feel- Well… I don’t feel like it’s gonna cut it. So…

#4 Odd Reasons You Should Bother With Self-Care
#4 Odd Reasons You Should Bother With Self-Care
So we’ve heard self-care is good for us… We’ll live better, feel better, treat others better- just be better! But doesn’t it just seem so… Ugh…? Know what I mean? That looming mountain of “adopting” self-care… All that effort into new ways of thinking, and being, and doing- all the money and time we’d have to spend, even the inconvenience of it clashing with our already jam-packed days… Ugh……

Self-Care: Ideas to Get You Going!
Self-Care: Ideas to Get You Going!
Buy this product! Take a pamper day! Do this therapy! Go on this retreat!Unless we’ve somehow amassed a small fortune of time, money- or both to spend, it can seem like “self-care” is a practice not really available to us- And as we lament over what could be; sipping support with Goddesses around a fire in Bali, or finding that Jiminey Cricket like conscience we’ve always wanted in a therapist,…

What is Self-Care?
Is it really just these expensive, indulgent practices we see advertised everywhere? Or is it something much deeper? Explore how I've come to understand self-care through my own wellness journey.
Some would say that self-care is crashing on the couch at the end of a hard day and watching their favourite show. Others, wouldn’t consider it to be anything less than a team of professionals guiding them through life- And that, is the first beautiful thing you’ll come to know about self-care… It’s pretty damn subjective.Which is no surprise really, because it is, I believe, based off an…

What is self-care? I asked the chicken, to which it promptly pooped on my notebook. Not sure if that's a metaphor for something... What do you think it is? Self-care, not the pooping, although I'd love to hear your thoughts on that too 😂🐔 . . #thoughtsplease #selfcarecommunity #exploremore #deepthoughts #selflove #healthtalk #selfcarethreads #mentalwellbeing #emotionalwellbeing #physicalwellbeing #naturephoto #journalphoto #journalpage #chooks #wellnessblog #selfcareblog #naturelover #ipreview via @preview.app https://www.instagram.com/p/CMnBr2hHzWc/?igshid=162xxbrqndxxw

Which Kind of Journaler are You?
Which Kind of Journaler are You?
Can I ask you a question?Do you love journaling? Or hate it with a passion? Or maybe- frustratingly find yourself somewhere in between? When you journal, does it support and encourage you to grow? Be an occasionally challenging, but enjoyable part of your day?Or does it make you feel worse off than if you hadn’t started at all? Perhaps it’s neither, and we just feel like it’s something we…

Today is #winnethepoohday celebrating the magic of the silly old bear, and the author that created him, who brought so much joy to people's hearts!
Although the books are sadly missing from my shelves (goals), I do have one book that our honey obsessed friend pays a visit to...
"The Tao of Pooh and the Te of Piglet" by Benjamin Hoff.
Where Mr. Hoff, along with our friends from the hundred acre wood explain how their day to day lives and actions emulate that of ancient Taoist (pronounced Daoist) principles.
😳 was my reaction too.
But it's an enchanting read, one made so by the constant interruptions of Pooh, Piglet, Tigger, Rabbit, Eeyore, Owl and their stories, beautifully interwoven with Taoist teachings-
Offering us some beautiful insights into ourselves and the world around us.
Have you read this book?

Stuff You Pick Up Hanging Out With Nature
Stuff You Pick Up Hanging Out With Nature
I almost can’t believe it’s coming up half a year since we swapped the urban jungle for a self-sustainable life in the mountains! Yeah, I’m a tad early in celebrating… One, because I’ll probably have forgotten by the actual day- And two, today marks an eye-opening reminder as to how much has changed since this very same day last year… Where I wrote one of the most heart-wrenching, self-hating…
