part of the reason I think it’s so sad that we collectively write so few stories about unrequited love is bc I feel like there’s very little public acknowledgment of how much it sucks to be the one somebody is in unrequited love with??? and not in a way of like, oh they’re crossing boundaries or putting expectations on me or whatever. becoming close friends with someone and then finding out they’re in love with you and you don’t love them back the same way is heartbreaking, bc a) someone you love is in pain and there is literally nothing you can do about it, and b) it usually means that whether you like it or not there’s going to be distance in your friendship that wasn’t there before as they try to get over you. idk man I just feel like we’ve all discussed the tragedy of loving someone who doesn’t love you back quite a lot and very rarely discuss the tragedy of finding out the way that you love someone just isn’t enough.

It blows my mind that it's been like 6 months and we're STILL somehow dealing with people's illiteracy.

Yes, the decision to conclude Nightbringer's story came from the parent company (NTT Corp) and not the actual OM Team. Amd even then, the original OM games have not been abandoned. They were NEVER abandoned. They didn't end, they didn't get shut down, and they are VERY MUCH still alive and active. Both games still have thousands of daily players, both games still get regular content updates and patches, and both games still generate revenue. But you wouldn't know this if you listened to Tiktok comment sections and Twitter posts, because nobody in this fandom seems to have any critical thinking skills at all.

Today I saw people accusing Solmare of using AI to make this new OM game. They had no evidence to back up that claim, and when questioned WHY they thought it was going to be AI, they couldn't even answer. Just "oh I don't know, I just felt like that's what they did" and yet PEOPLE STILL BELIEVED THEM.

I've seen people repeatedly crashing out because they think that the new game won't have TriWorlds or the Undateables in it. I've lost count of how many times I've had to show them the exact part of the announcement that specifically confirms that the other characters will be included.

The amount of baseless rumours and fearmongering and doomposting is just absolutely ridiculous. People were begging and DEMANDING that the OM Team give us more content, and now that we've gotten it (in the form of a WHOLE NEW GAME, with the increased focus on romance and intimacy that people have wanted for YEARS) somehow people are still finding reasons to be pissed off and miserable. At this point I just have to assume that nothing Solmare does will ever be good enough, because some folk just preemptively decide that they will hate everything no matter what and they won't even attempt to look at things fairly or engage in a genuine manner.
