As a Greek god Theia is okay but in theoretical astronomy Theia is amazing. Scientists theorized that a dwarf planet that crashed into earth, whose debris formed rings and eventually became our moon. Our moon through a long gravitational tug of war earth allowed our core to remain molten creating the protective magnetic field around the planet and influencing our tides allowing for life to flourish on earth. Scientists named that dwarf planet Theia. Which, in my opinion, is just awesome!

I made these prints of my characters for a bit of fun, trying to make some little combo pack with stickers and bag tags. Kinda cool turning your own work into something like this. What do you guys think?

First six pages all together, still reworking the script as I go along, it’s an ever evolving project which is stressful but it’s also so much fun to finally put the story down on paper.

Been working hard on my own comic book, got about 20 pages sketched but I needed to start adding some line work since it’s technically inktober. Let me know what you think of the little sneak peek so far, none of the text is final and I’ve already edited it several times so that’ll be a never ending process.

How do you keep a consistent art style?

Ummmmmmm hmmm 🤔. I’ve never thought about it before. Actually, I just take bits and pieces from other artists that I like and incorporate it into my style. I like old school French comics like Moebius or Frank Frazetta but I also like marvel & DC stuff or even renaissance art and I even like old school anime. I remember watching a Stan Prokopenko video on YouTube about choosing your mentors and taking inspiration from them. Oh you like the way he paints skin, take that, oh you like the way she draws hands, that’s mine now. If you pick and choose all the things you like and incorporate them into your style, you’ll not only be drawing better but you’ll be able to identify exactly what your style is because you chose it and along the way it will evolve and change and become even more personal to you but always start with what is already built. You cannot get better than your mentors by reinventing the wheel each time. Good luck!

I found out yesterday that people in Asia use cormorants to help them fish. I really liked the idea and I decided to turn it into a mini illustration. Also I like the little frog sticking its tongue out!

Decided to try something a little different so this is my OC mixed with one of my favorite animes
