Kennedy woke up, like every day not exactly knowing what time it was or how long she’d been sleeping, but she knew the lights in her room were on so it was daytime. Turning around just to find someone walking through the door to her room, she mustered up the strength to sit up and turn to face them, offering up a small smile. “You probably have way more important things to do today than to be coming here every few hours.” she said, her voice hoarse from just waking up. “What’s going on in the outside world?”
-
Ozzy wasn’t a face to face sort, at least not with the living. His time in the morgue made him more used to the silence that came with the dead but as his mother reminded him it wasn’t always healthy to remain down in the basement away from other living beings. Visiting one of the live in patients became his thing, he could at least tell his mom that he was talking to people, living breathing people. “Oh well I figure you’re kind of bored in here, so I don’t mind. Unless I’m bothering you, might want your rest.” He leaned on the door frame of the room and gives a shrug, “I’m not naming any names but I heard a certain little old lady brought her dog into the hospital to see her husband. So if you see a fuzzy little rat thing just look the other way?”

Oskar Kenner AU bio task004
Oskar Kenner grew up with a single mother household and figured he didn’t miss out on anything, his half-siblings certainly didn’t have something he didn’t knowing who their dirtbag father was so he felt he wasn’t missing out by not knowing the dudes name. Sure he heard his fair share of him being a test tube baby or that his mom made him in a lab which was easy enough to get over as a kid.
However he did feel the pressure as he got older having to follow in the family line of being a doctor of some sort or another. He didn’t want nor need to have that kind of pressure on him. Holding human life in his hands wasn’t something he wanted to live with, knowing that one false move on his part could ruin a family.
He did love the idea of helping others though and while joining the law enforcement field might be looked down on he decided that the best course of action was to put his talents in the medical field to use for the law. Working in the morgue was the least favorable place for anyone who went to med school it seemed but his notes, findings and the like could result in some real time for killers and that was what made him proud.

tara-kenner:
An amused chuckle eased from Tara’s lips as she rolled her eyes at her son playfully. “Better watch it before I change my mind,” Tara jokingly threatened. “I trust you enough to know that you’ll drink responsibly and there’s plenty of adults around to ensure you do nothing stupid so just this once.” Laughter rose within Tara’s chest as she offered Oskar a cup, her own resting within the digits of her other hand. “I don’t need to know that any of you are living up to the Kenner name tonight,” the brunette mused. “Let me live blissfully ignorant tonight.” A grin formed easily against Tara’s lips, giving a shake of her head as she took a sip of her beer. “A challenge he shall get then,” the she-wolf chuckled.
-
Ozzy held his hands up in mock surrender to his mom with a cocky smile on his face, “I have too much riding on staying out of trouble.” He couldn’t very well join the police force with a list of crimes under his belt after all. “Right....right, no I mean we’re all enjoying our juice boxes and floating in the water.” He says to cover up the truth lamely since he knew darn well his mom wanted to ignore it for the night. “That sounds dangerous, though you should know Uncle Gabe is already tapping out. Looks like the old man needs some ginger ale and tums.”

liliana-hawthorne:
Lily had long since found her way into the water, the coolness of it welcomed against her skin that was seemingly burning against the sun’s rays when the other had swung on the rope, her attention being pulled away from the other girls that had been in the water with her as the water splashed from behind her. Her gaze landed against the familiar male’s features before a smile cracked against her lips, a soft laugh following as she gave a shake of her head. “Be pretty silly of me to get upset for getting splashed,” Lily quipped. “Considering I’m already soaked from the water as it is. Besides we’re all just having fun here.”
-
Ozzy swam over to the blonde. “It would be but who am I to judge?” He asks with a joking smile on his face, “A lot of girls get all upset when splashed but I guess if you don’t care about your hair being wet it shouldn’t matter.” He didn’t get the girls who wore a full face of makeup for something like this. Half of them end up looking like the wicked witch with their faces melting off by the middle of the day. “With who them?” He nods his head towards the girl she was with and gives a shake of his head moving closer, “You’re not gonna have a lot of fun with them.”

Maya had gotten in the water but she kept to the edge to lean her elbows and just chill for a bit. She watched with curiosity as someone took their chances on the rope. She gave him a applause which all but answered his question. “Even if you did isn’t that the point of being in the water?” Maya asked him. “Besides who I am to ruin your fun. You looked like you were loving that. I’ll give it ten points for enthusiasm.”
-
Ozzy gives a shrug of his shoulders, “Maybe but some people take getting splashed so damn personal.” He thought the whole point of it all was to be wet and cool off but hey maybe he wasn’t that uptight unlike others. “Its a blast, you should give it a go.” He suggests gesturing to the rope that swung freely in the air.

Octavia was busily cradling a plastic cup full of some sweet cocktail in her hands, not paying the slightest bit of attention to what was happening around her, and only noticed what Ozzy was up to when the plume of water erupted from the lake and spattered her with a few gentle drops. Laughing, she checked out the source and shook her head. “No, you’re fine, it was just a little bit. This drink could probably stand to be watered down a little bit anyway.”
-
Ozzy laughs softly, “Brave of you to be so willing to drink some of this water.” He points out but he wasn’t willing to go into too much detail about what could be in it. Given he was swimming in it, thinking about it too deeply might ruin things. “Just don’t let Iggy hear you mention watering down a drink, he might take it personally.”

His brothers soured expression had at first misled him to believe that he was doing something right and a look of satisfaction soon crossed his own features, before his amusement quickly faltered. He hadn’t meant to ruin the others fun. “Yeah well, maybe I don’t.” Watching as his brother stood up out of the water, Cass inhaled a deep breath as he rolled his eyes, “Oz, come on man, it was a joke.”
-
“Yeah you don’t know shit.” Ozzy replies glaring at his brother annoyed by him or the mood he now placed him into. He was hoping that the party would be a nice escape from the crap of his nonsense feelings about his father and about the stress of having a test coming up. “You really have to learn Cas, you’re not fucking funny. Maybe funny looking but that’s about it.” He adds trying to let the anger bubble off of him and giving his brother a smug look.

“Almost approachable,” Hope repeated between drinks. “That sounds like it’s almost a compliment.” Not that she held anyone’s opinion against them, she was just a few drinks in and a bit chattier than usual. “They’ve all got the night off, so I’ll be almost approachable until the party’s done, and then we’re back to business as usual. Heavy is the head that wears the crown, and all that. Enjoying the party?”
-
“Almost.” He agrees with a nod of his head, “Compliment, I guess it depends on how someone wants to look at it. I didn’t go to that fancy school like my brothers and sister did, so I only really have second hand accounts and then...how you were when you showed up here months ago.” Ozzy wasn’t sure what to make of the girl and honestly his opinion on the matter was pretty moot. “So nothing different then? Just a night off for them before they’re back at it.” His father was just another cog in the wheel which was just another reason why trusting him felt difficult and Ozzy thought his mom fooling herself. “Sounds like crap.” He answers bluntly with a shrug of his shoulders, he often heard evil monarchs say that kind of thing when they were raising taxes or sending people to fight their wars acting like it was a big burden they had gifted by god. He thought just as he said, it was bullshit. “Using it mostly to ignore some studying. How’s that lady? Cami, she looked pretty rough when Ryker and I brought her home.”

tara-kenner:
An amused laugh fell from Tara’s lips as her gaze fell on her youngest son, a brow rising for a moment before offering a shake of her head. “This is the one night that I’m going to ignore the fact that you are underage,” she admitted. “So you better be able to hang as the younger generation says. Iggy’s gonna be disappointed when us wolves are the ones still going even as everything is being packed up.”
-
Ozzy gave his mom a surprised look, “Oh wow, Iggy really does have magic abilities.” The idea that his mom wasn’t going to freak out about some underage partying by him was good by him. “Pretty sure if that’s how we’re living up to the family name that Casper has that covered.” He didn’t need to go off doing anything stupid and getting his shot with the academy screwed up. “I don’t think Iggy gets disappointed fairly easy, he might be glad that people are keeping it going. He might actually take it as a challenge.”

Having noticed Ozzy in the park, Oliver wasn’t intending to pass up the opportunity to say hello at least, but as he approached and witnessed the book travelling full pelt towards the tree, he wondered whether or not know was really the best time. “Everything uh, alright?”
-
Looking up at his biological father Ozzy lets out a huff and stands to his feet walking over to the book. “Fine.” He mutters picking the thing back up annoyed with it and snaps it shut even on its own folded up pages. “Just stupid studying.” Trying to get any done in the middle of a party like this seemed stupid in itself but he only had a limited amount of time till the test.

Casper was glad to see his little brother having a good time, even if it was at his expense as the youngest Kenner catapulted into the lake sending water splashing over him. With an exasperated look, the male wiped the water from his eyes and pushed his damp locks backwards before forcing his hand through the water and splashing back at his brother. Despite attempting to hold his tongue and not be an asshole, it just wasn’t in his nature as he taunted, “didn’t realise you could swim without armbands, bro.”
-
HIs face quickly soured as his older brother spoke and he gave a shrug of his shoulders, “That’s because rather than have to deal with you and raise you herself mom rather ship your ass off. So I guess you wouldn’t know half as much about me as you like to think.” He mouths back standing up in the water, now no longer enjoying his swim. “Honestly I figured that fat empty head of yours would keep you afloat, looks like I was right.”

Gabe had been adopted by a group of drunk strangers and in all honesty, he wasn’t mad about it. He had however, rapidly come to the realisation that he wasn’t twenty years old anymore and despite being a wolf, his metabolism wasn’t handling the alcohol as well as it used to. In a clumsy cheers motion, with a deep breath and a nod the wolf geared himself up for another shot, before hearing his name called through the crowd, a saving grace as familiar face headed towards him. “Oh thank god, here. Take this” he mused, extending his drink to the newcomer.

Walking over to greet his uncle Ozzy was surprised when the older male handed him a shot in a hurry and rather than argue the kid gladly accepted, “Sweet thanks, Uncle Gabe. You look like you’re gonna upchuck there, you good?”

Finding an old rope tied to the tree Ozzy couldn’t very well ignore the urge to use it to swing into the waiting waters of the lake. So climb up among the large tree’s roots he pulled the rope free of the branches above and tugged on it to test it strength. Nothing would ruin the fun like trying to swing from a rotten rope, giving a few more test tugs he leans back a little before leaping off the ledge swinging himself over the water and back before curving his body to jolt him further out over the water letting go with a joyful yell as he splashed into the water below. Popping up from under the surface he flips his hair out of his face laughing, “Shit sorry did I get you?”

thefirsttribrid:
For the first time in a long time, Hope’s emotions were neither sky high nor down in the depths; she felt almost like herself again, and a party was certainly a place to celebrate that. The Guard had been largely dismissed from their duties, although Hope suspected that they were lingering. In Ember’s case, she was certain she was lingering. Cradling a bottle of beer in both hands she’d set herself up in front of a crackling fire, watching the flames lick at the dry wood and contemplating what came next. A peace conference with the Resistance was high on the agenda, but she suspected that first they were all going to need to deal with the looming spectre of whatever or whoever had bombed her city and walled it off from the world.
For the moment, though, her priority was going to be relaxing. Sitting with Landon under the stars. Sharing a drink with her Mom. A million other things that could be done most effectively at a party. Hearing a noise from beside her she looked up, gesturing to an open spot on her right. “Feel free to join me.”

Ozzy was still on fence on how to feel about Hope, he had seen many Crescents take stances on both sides of the fence and his mom seemed to care about her no matter what but didn’t seem keen on the whole crown aspect. Like any young adult he was still trying to figure out how he felt about things in the world, his political ideas were only that of what he heard from those around him and his older siblings didn’t seem much interested in them. “Its kind of strange...seeing you without the whole posse of guards around.” He mentions as he walks up taking a seat on a log near her, “Makes you seem almost approachable.”

“I’m taking bets now on who think will last longer tonight,” Tara joked. “The younger generation or the older generation. My money is on us older folks especially if you’re a Crescent. We were raised on moonshine and partying until the sun came up.”
@farfromhomestarters
-
“What about the younger generations who are crescents?” Ozzy points out to his mom, it was a party so he was sure that everyone was going to be wilding out. He just wondered how wild things would get, with the hybrids that attacked Camille O’Connell still out there he worried what that would mean for others but he kept it to himself. He didn’t want to ruin a good party, “Given how hard Iggy seems to want people to go, I think he wants it to break in a tie no matter what.”

The park had quickly become Lily’s favorite place in the new town as she hummed softly to herself, leaning over to pluck some flowers from the ground before the slamming of the book nearby erupted her thoughts, her icy gaze falling on the young male curiously when he chucked it against the nearby tree. “What’d the book ever do to you,” Lily questioned jokingly.
-
Ozzy jumped slightly at the sound of another he hadn’t realized was near by, “Shit, sorry. Ah...I don’t know nothing I guess.” He gives a shrug it wasn’t really so much the book, its topic or anything that got to Ozzy. “I’m having trouble focusing, seemed better to take frustrations on a book than someone else.” He explained getting up from the grass to pick up the stupid book and walking back to his spot on the grass dropping it into his bag.

Casper’s friends clearly knew him too well, as he was met with a chorus of ‘just leave it Cass’ as one friend pushed their palm against his chest in attempts to prevent him from going over to Ozzy. The attempt was clearly in vain and the male pushed past with ease, because his own flesh and blood aside, he was now gunning for a fight. “What the fuck is your problem, bro?” he murmured as he enclosed their distance, pushing his palm against Ozzy’s chest and shoving him backwards.
-
Casper was the tallest of the Kenner siblings but Ozzy was only a few inches shorter and hardly was going to let his brother looming height be a factor that scared him away. He stood tall and only took a few steps back when he got pushed, “My problem? You wanna come up being a dick to anyone, everyone and have the fucking nerve to be sensitive when someone says something back.” Feeling heated now he shoves his brother back, “Fuck you, Cas. Get over yourself, I don’t give a shit about whatever chip you have on your shoulder.”
