Tower of God AO3 Khunbam

I just wrote something out of whim. AO3 link here

Summary : FUG’s top-rated agent Jyu Viole Grace was hired to protect a certain Khun from death threats and assassination attempts from his own family.

It’s just major fluff. I don’t regret.

It was dark. It was cold, heavy rain hitting his skin like sharp little needles. The thunder and lighting illuminating his face, casting his shadows on Viole and the Khun kid, who are both lying unconscious on the ground.

Alive, but barely.

A short gasp of relieved breath escaped his mouth.

The two are loosely connected with their fingers, the harsh rain isn't enough to wash away the grime and blood from their battle with Jahad.

He kneeled down, slowly but carefully transferring the two kids inside the battleship.

It might take a while for them to get conscious again, but they had created a ray of hope for the entire tower. A new future for everyone- they had ended Jahad

"I'm so proud of you, son." Jinsung placed his palm gently on Viole's head, mouth curving around the cigarette.

"Dance with me and pretend the world doesn't exist." Maki pulled Kugisaki near her, dropping her forehead on the other's shoulder.

"We never danced before, we will be out of sync." Kugisaki nuzzled her face on the crook of her face.

"You can step on my foot all you want, I wouldn't mind."

A laugh, light and airy, like a nice bell. The first time Maki heard it, she froze, heart hammering loudly in her chest, "I am not hurting your feet, or any part of you, Maki."

"Who would have thought I would tame the infamous Nobara?"

A hummed, a shower of kisses were pressed on her cheeks and jaw, "I'm so lucky I met you."

"I love you too." Maki pressed a long kiss on Nobara's forehead, the sky dark, thunder and lighting illuminated the forest they were dancing in.

The sky opened up, and a hundred of thousand curse spirits rained down on their world.

“You’re gazing at her again,” Khun silently joined Hwaryun on the balcony, both are looking down to Yihwa, Bam and Wangnan hanging out in the garden down below. 

The cold night air brushing gently on their faces, like a mother would do to their child.

“I’m not,” Hwaryun bit back, “It just happens that those dorks are there.”

“Then why was that look on your face?”

There was a minute silence before she whispered, “What look?”

“You have this certain gentle but sad expression every time you see her,” Khun rested his chin on his palm, “You look at her and it’s like you’re staring at the top of the tower, full of longing but with a predetermined destiny already.”

“Her future. The path she will walk, I saw it all.”

“And?”

“My heart won’t be with me when we reach the top.”

Viole repeatedly pressed the nurse call button, sapphire eyes stared blankly at golden eyes and chestnut locks, face devoid of emotions.

"Aguero, how are you feeling?" He was halfway through sitting on the visitor chair besides the bed when he froze, eyes widening on what he heard.

"Who are you? Don't call me by my first name."

Viole gaped, mouth slightly open as he noticed the cold stare. He swallowed, tucking the sudden pain and hurt he was feeling away, "You have no idea who I am?"

"I wish I had told you I love you," Hwaryun plopped down on the wet grass, not minding if it stain her pants.

"Yihwa, look, we're free. Jahad is gone, we won." A candle was lit and carefully placed on the ground, "I miss you, darling."

"Tell me," Nobara looked up to Gojo, face wet with tears, "If love is meant to heal, then why does it destroy those who choose it?"

Gojo pulled down his blindfold, hiding his eyes, hiding his emotions from his young student. "I'm sorry," He kneeled down, hand warm against Nobara's head as she cries, cradling Maki in her arms.

The war has just ended, Maki was sitting on the side with bandages all over her head and body, a blanket draped over her body, keeping her warm from the cold autumn wind.

They lost. Suguru Geto had escaped, with Gojo Sensei successfully sealed literally in the palm of his hand.

Maki breathe out, head looking up at the sky. It feels like mocking her, reflecting her void emotions. Tiny droplets started to hit her face slowly, wet air blowing in her face. The whole world smells of dust, blood and rubbles and burned body of sorcerers and cursed spirits.

That's when she saw them, nameless people with Akari Nitta, with Nobara unconscious in her arms, face and body covered in blood. Part of her face was missing.

Maki's lips parted, air knocked out quietly from her lungs, the shadows and stars feels heavy around her, embracing her, whispering in her ears.

Last night Nobara held her hand shyly in the school garden, the crickets loud around them, telling her to be careful. Her soft voice knocking her breath.

There was a giggle and a soft kiss on her forehead before Nobara was walking backwards away from her, a mischievous smile curving her lips. A silent 'I love you be careful tomorrow' left her mouth.

She was attracted to her the moment she saw her, but she was older and has so much responsibility in her hands that she tries to ignore it every time she's with Nobara.

She stood slowly, step unstable as she walks towards Nobara and Akari. She can still feel Nobara's warm lips on her forehead. Her soft voice and her angelic yet smug smile.

She should have told her she loves her too, she should have reciprocated- she started to run.
