For the Sisko&Garak talk:

Sisko and Garak in In the Pale Moonlight to me is like a bloodstained knight (garak) kneeling in front of the king (sisko) and presenting a blood soaked sword.

The king here is the one who reaches for the sword and gets blood on his hand, which makes for a "reversal" of typical images of kings knighting their knights.

= Sisko can't outright approve of Garak's actions but this is DS9 so you know he calls upon the blade that's already tasted blood. And he's fully aware of what he's doing.

I don't picture them together romantically, but you can if you want.

Yessss, exactly! I love this! You get it! He knows what Garak’s good at and he knows Garak’s morality is flexible, and he knows that despite their different values, they are aligned in their goals and their hatred of the Dominion, and there is a mutual respect there. I just love the image of Sisko letting himself be stained by the blood that Garak has dutifully spilled for him.

Sisko's like “hey so we have discovered an existential threat on the other side of the wormhole and might end up as the front lines if anything goes down. can we get something to defend ds9?” And the federation sends them 1 (one) experimental ship that might self destruct if you use it too hard.

i will never forgive ds9 for the episode where all the previous dax personalities get extracted and yet we learn nothing about what makes jadzia jadzia besides "she was a hot and sexy young lady who curzon wanted to fuck" CHARACTERIZE HER!!!!! YOU HAD THE OPPORTUNITY TO SHOW HOW SHE WAS DISTINCT AND UNIQUE AND YOU GAVE HER NOTHING!!!!! basically all her episodes were about the worm or curzon it's so frustrating
