While introducing Chidori and Junpei, I remembered about the flowers Junpei gets for chidori:
these guys in particular. I noted how they had six petals, so I went ahead and looked for a flower that seemed to match.
The Star-of-Bethlehem flower, 6-petaled and perennial flowers that grow from bulbs. They're in the same family as lilies (I have orange lilies in my backyard), and they're apparently poisonous. They're also invasive.
In flower language, Star of Bethlehems have a couple meanings: biblical and non-biblical. Biblically, it's resembling the star that shone over bethlehem when Jesus was born. Non-biblically, they're usually used as a sign of forgiveness or the hope in dark times. It's also used to represent purity, innocence, and honesty.
from what I can interpret, it's essentially Junpei being junpei and not knowing about the flowers, but if he was aware, he'd be essentially calling her the light of his life, his ability to forgive her, and the honesty of her sharing her true fears.
