Btw, I just realized that this is rather similar to peach cobbler except with mangos, and I just realized how damn far Hawaii and Georgia are, but what unites all of the USA is taking the fruit of the region, baking it with a heavy layer of crumble on top, and adding a scoop of ice cream. Peace and love on planet earth. Also I’m glad that I was able to help her out because even I could feel how cutting mangos can strain your shoulder and she was sore just from the air pressure.

Mango cobbler is a part of peace and love on planet earth, and helping your elderly neighbor make it is also a part of that love as well. (Also that ride wasn’t long either direction so it wasn’t even a long trip, like 15 minutes out the house and an hour and a half making cobbler with a lovely woman.)

Go make peace and love and pay homage to the fruit of your region if you can while you do it.

Went over to the neighbor’s apartment today to ask for a ride (it was a bit further than I could walk plus it’s been storming all day lmao, but also it’s sorta downhill and I was kinda scared I’d get there and either get lost or be too tired to bike the whole way back if I took the bike lol) and she was making mango crumble (basically just apple crumble with mangos instead) and I felt super bad about even asking but she said yes immediately so I asked if I could help her bake (it was just an errand I needed to do today but no appointment needed) and I happily cut and diced a about 8 mangos because she’s got a bad shoulder (and rain makes pressure go up, I feel it in my lower back and both knees lol) and it was easier for her to do the crumble topping while I cut mangos (and I dare say I’m freaking good at that now) and we chatted.

Anyways. All this to say; randomly dropping in on neighbors who are older is fun if you’re bored and got nothing to do, and you might get a lil tray of dessert for it, and also: if you like the taste of apple crumble but kinda hate the texture????? Apparently it’s super good with mango??? lol she learned it in Hawaii cause she was there for 7 years, and apples were less common but mangos much more, and I honestly like this way better than apple crumble????? I freaking hate the texture of apples but this is ACES 🤤 slap some whip or ice cream on top and you got something GOOD

So I have this idea for a fix-it, right?

For whatever reason, Alpha-17 visits Coruscant towards the end of the war. Possibly after the Fives incident? Maybe that’s the reason he’s visiting in the first place, actually, because he heard about that. Anyway, he turns up in the Coruscant Guard base with zero warning and heads straight for Fox.

Fox has been trying so hard to keep it all together but one glimpse of his dad older brother’s face and he violently bursts into sobbing right then and there. There’s probably an audience.

Now Alpha-17. Big, legendary, terrifying Alpha-class clone Seventeen sees one of his babies burst into tears and that’s all he needs to know. Does not matter that Fox is a full grown adult Marshall Commander or that there are a bunch of other clones around, that is his baby and he is crying and so Seventeen picks him up and cradles him and lets Fox sob into his neck and between hushing Fox and cooing to him he quietly demands with his eyeballs to be directed to Fox’s quarters so they can have some privacy.

The entire Coruscant Guard would die for Seventeen without hesitation, now, and happily sends him to the Commanders’ bunkroom.

Seventeen manages to deduce which bunk is Fox’s and parks them both in it and then just holds Fox and lets him sob himself out. Fox is doing the kind of wailing-crying that is so intense he nearly makes himself throw up a few times. He just kind of rocks Fox back and forth and rubs his back and tells him it’s okay, Seventeen is here now, he’s gonna take care of everything, let it all out, etc.

Once Fox is spent, Seventeen borrows his comm and asks someone to send some food and water for Fox and then gets to work getting him in bed. He takes off his armor and tries to convince him to get into sleep clothes—you don’t have any pajamas? Alright, a fresh set of blacks, then.

Alpha-17 has already seen the grey hair and the dark circles and the facial scars and he Has Some Concerns. But the scars on Fox’s body, not to mention how thin he is…

Seventeen gets him to eat and drink as much as he can, and then tucks him in and cuddles him until he falls asleep. Then he comms the other Coruscant Guard Commanders and very calmly asks them who needs to die for this.

The Guard’s collective impulse control is soundly asleep and they have an enraged Alpha-class clone on their side. Palpatine will never even get the chance to see what hit him.

On Disney anyways. For YEARS The Mandalorian has been on the front pages of Disney+ (plz don’t hate, I have a sister who travels a lot and won’t always have pirating abilities and it’s easier for us to stream on an account together since I can’t afford a laptop to download or pirate lmao) but this past year????? Nah. I clicked the Star Wars TAG on D+ and I couldn’t find Mandalorian in that section. I had to manually type Mandalorian in to get to it because I want my annual rewatch to happen now.

I’m not gonna lie to you… the real reason my stance on ‘all SW media is good media’ is because I’m using it as my cherry picking machine for what canon/s I want to follow when writing fics. Even if I hate a film/book/series I can usually find a lot of good world building content to use from that canon.

That said I still think the sequels gave us… fucking nothing… like even the books who made Luke straight (obviously him and his wife are both trans tho 🙄) had far superior world building in terms of storylines and world building, but even then, I can’t deny that it HAD world building. Which is entirely what I’m here for. I’m here to make more realistic fanfiction 🤷‍♀️

I need to warn you. It’s platonic JangObi, they have other soulmates, Jango is also soulmates with Jaster (it’s an AU where you can have sibling or parental soulmate bonds as well as romantic) and it’s actually QuinObi in terms of romance. Jaster DOES end up adopting Obi tho, and also they end up finding Arla in the chaos of a baby Jetii in their midst and so that deals with Death Watch, lmao.
