Welcome to my little refuge — I’m Kim Downgrade, and I mostly use Tumblr to view and post PAFL content. Sometimes I post a few venting thoughts too, but that’s beside the point! I’ll be posting PAFL drawings, though probably less frequently than I’d like — but I promise I will post!

I still get lost on Tumblr even after being here for a few months — I’m always afraid of doing something wrong and getting scolded lol.

After the disaster of the last drawing, I decided to try making a ref sheet for Motya so I don’t get lost when drawing her — and yes, I made a few changes to her design. When I finish it or have more drawings for the ref sheet, I’ll post them here.

My girlfriend suggested doing some OC challenges using Motya, so I decided to start by filling out this template. I’m not very good at quantifying this kind of thing, not even for myself — let alone for a character — but here’s the result! More drawings of her coming soon, by the way~

I made my PAFL OC! I was unsure how to go about it, so I ended up using the PAFL mutant generator to help me out. So, let me introduce you to MT001-293, also known as Matrona — or Motya, for those close to her.

Her mutation is transformation, and she loves turning into a cat whenever she can. Even though she looks almost 18, she’s actually only 14, and that really annoys her. Motya grew up inside the Facility labs, and because she’s good at using her powers and is quite gentle with the scientists, she was ranked as 001. She often helps contain other children using her abilities and is very close to the scientist assigned to supervise her — she almost sees him as a father figure.

Another one from the batch of requests, this time for @eriksyoudumby ! Please don’t crucify me, but I didn’t know who Vasily was — after all, I’m not a PAFL lore master and only started getting into it properly less than a year ago, so I’m still not too familiar with the side characters. I did my research and I think this is him, so I made a reinterpretation of what happened in KT’s song. If I got the character wrong, I’d be more than happy to learn more about him~

how did you get into pafl??

Well, this is actually a funny story. Years ago I came across the song Punch it, Punk! and I LOVED it. I used to watch that video and think, “It would be so interesting to see more of these characters, to understand this story better,” but I never looked into it. It was only last year, after showing the song to my girlfriend, that I finally did the obvious — I checked the channel that posted it and read the video description. That’s when I finally discovered what PAFL was and ended up staying up all night reading everything I could about it. I honestly don’t know why I never did that before — I spent so long wanting to see a continuation of that story, and it was right there the whole time. All I had to do was look it up lol.
