Hey y’all so apparently this person is not Jewish and believes Christianity is cultural appropriation of Jewish people 🧍. So take this comment with a grain of salt I suppose.
Tumblr media
The thing I’m keeping from my deleted closed practices list (for those who didn’t see the other post, I know practices can be closed and lots are. I just deleted it because I’m not a part of any closed tradition and I was being out of line listing things and not including practitioners in the convo.)
I’m not Jewish but I believe this person is. This is a pagan blog but lots of people will take elements from closed and semi-closed practices and say it’s pagan when where it’s from isn’t theirs to take and isn’t pagan in the first place. So that’s why I’m posting it here.

I'm blocking all non Jewish "Lilith worshippers" from now on.
Y'all are antisemitic as fuck.
Lilith is Jewish. Anything that says she's from anything/anywhere else is misinformation. Lilith is from Judaism, the end. But of course, expecting y'all to listen to and respect what Jews have to say is just asking too much.

New rule added!
Also, I’m going to take the list of closed practices down and start re-blogging people from those practices talking about what’s closed and what isn’t instead. After some reflection I realized it was out of line for me to talk about closed practices as somebody who is not a part of any closed tradition without including people apart of closed practices in the conversation in the first place.
And as always, please send asks!

Hellenic Polytheist culture is SOOO wanting beautiful temples to worship the gods in, but also the depression that inevitably comes, knowing that if you had temples, extremist christians (among others) would likely destroy them.

Discussion time!
What are your thoughts on pop culture egregores? Please only answer if you’re a pagan or pagan-adjacent!
In my opinion I think they’re cool. I mean, I get why some people don’t like them, but honestly I’d rather spend my time with someone who worships herobrine or undyne than somebody who thinks there’s a “right way” to be a part of any open religion.
Replies and RBs are welcome!

Pagan Culture is going to the lake to collect duck feathers. It's putting polymer clay on a dollar store cereal bowl to make it look fancy and so you can carve your own sigils into it. It's having a favorite spot in the woods to just sit and be present. It's going to the thrift store and finding a nifty trinket to bring home to put on your altar.
Pagan Culture is also hoarding some type of storage device; be that boxes, vases, bowls, jars, or all of the above with the excuse of "that could be handy for later."

Pagan culture is slowly growing out of the fear of “not being pagan enough” and realizing that cool sticks and ground rocks and fallen leaves can decorate an altar just as beautifully as precious gems and silver statues. Pagan culture is realizing that you are enough just as you are. Pagan culture is feeling so so loved for things that were always a part of you.
YES THIS. GET OVER AESTHETIC, PALATABLE, CONSUMER PAGANISM!!!!! ITS THE BEST THING IVE EVER DONE!!!

Pagan culture is hiding and then rearranging half your room when your Christian mother comes over to your flat on the off chance she wants to go and "just have a look."

Pagan culture is having to explain a thousand times what paganism is and that no I don't want to explain how or why I got into it cause I just wanted to. No dramatic testimony, just "Hey this looks cool." The end.
