Summary: Castiel is on the road (saving people, helping things) when he meets Dean and realizes that his soul is different - and not just because he's the pastor's son.
Words: 100K
MR: **** This was different. I think the reason I loved it so much was because it was different. The writing voice was different. The premise was different. It was a very refreshing read. I would have preferred more detailed descriptions in the narration at certain places, but that is an entirely personal preference. This is definitely, definitely worth reading. Like wow. Do it for Dean.

Summary: Dean is a professional snowboarder who finds himself alone on Valentine’s Day following his recent break-up with Lisa. He had the perfect romantic holiday planned: a private cabin in the French Alps kitted out with everything from a heated pool to a personal maid. He even saw to the damn rose petals. But now he’s stuck sharing dinner and a bottle of wine with the chalet’s enigmatic chef, who’s entirely too hot for his own good. Fluff ensues.
Words: 10K
MR: **** This was really damn cute. The way Cas was written in this made me squeal so loud I gave myself a headache.

Summary: Castiel is a shy, eighteen year-old mathematical genius working on his doctorate. Dean is a college upperclassman. They meet, hit it off, and start dating. What Dean doesn't know is that Cas has been holding himself back--and that there's a very different type of direction he'd like to take their relationship.
Words: 12K
MR: ** I believe the prompt was "Cas is the subbest sub to ever sub" and that describes this rather aptly. Cas's feelings as a sub were described pretty well in this, I think. And Dean's reactions, and the way their relationship developed was cute. However, I am not that fond of dirty talk, and especially not fond the whole slut shaming and feminization hooplah, so the secondhand squeamishness level was pretty high for me. Still, it was a fun read and if those two issues are not issues for you, then it will be all the better!

And for a very small amount of other things still, Dean’s learning curve is like the m of points (3, 4) and (8, 4) on an x-y axis. That is, if m= ∆y/∆x—which it is—and Dean is subsequently m=0. To simplify (for those who still need further simplification), sometimes— for some things— Dean’s learning curve is a lot like a horizontal line. Which means that for these certain things—cough emotional stuff cough— Dean can go forward and sometimes (oftentimes) backwards within the scope of a straight line path, but in the end, he isn't the type of function that has the ability to change as his input changes.

Summary: Dean’s not very keen on explaining he doesn’t want to go on a date with Anna’s brother because he’s smitten—and he hates, hates, hates using the word smitten—with a dark-haired stranger whose name he doesn’t know.
Words: 3K
MR: *** The summary tells you all you really need to know. I was blushing and I'm pretty sure I squee'd towards the end. I wanted to hug Anna so bad, too. Read it, seriously. It's short, so you can't call it a waste of time and there will be no regrets.

Summary: Sam’s best friend is a quiet guy called Castiel. Dean is possibly in love with him. But all the guy does is frown at Dean. It sucks.
Words: 4K
MR: *** This was an adorable treat. I had to re-read it after the big epiphany, lol. About the frowning. Just go read it. Oh, Cas. Let's just say that this fic has changed the way I'll ever watch a Supernatural episode, from now until the end of ever.

Summary: Every day at seven in the evening, Castiel will sit in his favorite Italian restaurant and have the Chicken Fettuccini with the side house salad and a strip of garlic bread. He will drink the best white wine the house offers and always pay with two hundred dollar bills. Then one day, at 7:15, a man walks by the window. And then he does so again. And again. And again.
Words: 2K
MR: *** This was pretty freaking cute. Not fluff cute, but "ghuuhuh" cute. I was, for a while, legitimately upset that there wasn't a continuation to this - but it gets its point across.

“Yes,” Castiel hissed, shoving Dean off him. “And I am not at all interested in getting tied up for years and dealing with that right now.” . Dean licked his lips. “They tie you up?”

Summary: Dean is a college professor, and Cas is his gifted, but shy student. Only, as it turns out, maybe not so shy after all.
Words: 3K
MR: *** Hot damn. Maybe the dialogue felt a little...squawkward towards the end, but the Castiel in this story earned my respect with his steel cojones. Holy shit. Best way to confess a crush, freaking ever.

Summary: Dean and Castiel share a bed. It starts out platonic, and then becomes something else.
Words: 2K
MR: *** This is really short, but good. I died at the very last line and I kind of guarantee that you will as well, hahaha :) Ugh, adorable.

“I forgot,” Cas said quietly, eyes serious. “It’s so easy for me to forget what it was like for you.”

“I hope you have ibuprofen,” Cas said, swinging out of bed. “And coffee.” He threw his arms high over his head and arched into a stretch that had Dean swallowing thickly. Goddamn perfect man with his perfect goddamn back, Dean thought. Cas stood. And hips. Cas bent over to retrieve his jeans and shirt from the floor. And ass. Dean dragged the pillow over his face and groaned.

Summary: Dean accidentally stumbles upon something that turns Castiel on.
Words: 2K
MR: *** Very interesting idea for a kink and well written. A nice, short, indulgent piece.

Summary: It starts with a smile.
Words: 2K
MR: *** This is pretty much pwp, but it was nice. Very sweet in the beginning, and even though it progressed suddenly, "pwp" itself should have been warning enough.

Summary: (prompt) Cas goes into heat and all the other angels in heaven try to fuck him. Cas flees to Dean in hopes of being safe, but Dean smells him and is incredibly determined to mate him too, despite the fact that once the connection is made it's for life.
Words: 3K
MR: **** This somehow managed to be both very hot and giggle-inducingly adorable at the same time. Just skimming over it again so I can write this review and I'm laughing. You will enjoy this a lot more if you treat it like a very well written crackfic (it isn't though, so not tagging). Seriously worth reading.

Ok I meant to post this here, but whatever. The quotes will most probably end up on both accounts. (And yus, that's my primary blog right there.)
I have an idea
I think I’m gonna start posting random quotes from fanfics I’ve recced as I re-read them. Or simply because. You know, extra enticement. I’ll be tagging those posts “pagesquotes" in case you’re uber ultra against possible spoilers, but I doubt they’ll spoil as much as entice. At least, that’s my plan.
