The reason why I've been inactive. I've been having back-to-back photoshoots--and before anyone tries to say it's easy--I promise you, it is not. Imagine spending hours on end in front of a camera and harsh studio lights, while being asked to pose in uncomfortable positions. Do you have any idea how boring that is when you have a mind as active as mine? Anyway, I will be featured in VF's December 2050 issue, where I will be discussing my predictions for the tech industry and the leaps we've made in recent years with regards to sustainable clean energy for all. Enjoy, and stay inspired for the future!
Vanity (2024)
Originally was supposed to be a quick thing using a reference for the ask blog but it ended up evolving into this...Also, don't ask about the chair, because I don't know either, I just started using the line tool and that came out lmao FYI Bob Page is not my favourite Deus Ex character but I ended up drawing him a lot all of a sudden thanks to @fr0gery and @insanesanityme yapping about their triplets

This image invokes a philosophical conundrum that irks me slightly, and I feel as if I must inform everyone that the term "Ego" has a far different connotation now than it did a couple of centuries ago. It did not have such a negative implication like today, as something that we should rid ourselves of, used interchangeably with arrogance or narcissism. It simply described the "Self"; our personalities, our beliefs, our ambitions. It is you; everything you are, have been, and will become. In the inverse, "Ego death", is something I'm sure you've all heard of as something we should try to embrace in order to become a "better person". I've come to understand that yes, denying the "Self" might distance ourselves from suffering by freeing us of desire, but I think it is a cowardly solution to the problem of human suffering. Think about it, of course if you stop wanting anything you'll reduce your own suffering...Does that really address what's going on inside of you, or does it simply deny your true feelings and lock it up somewhere as you delude yourself that you've overcome them. In the end, you'll pay the cost of stagnation and complacency. We only ever achieve anything because we set into motion a challenge that we seek to overcome. It IS difficult, it HURTS. The suffering gives rise to the development of your character and material or spiritual success in the end, doesn't it? We should aim to enhance ourselves, not eliminate ourselves. No matter how gruelling that may be, as it is only your Ego that drives you care enough to do anything, good or bad.
"Deus Ego" (2024)
Had this idea when I saw @raynerberg's redraw of the Deus Ex cover art with Paul in place of JC The name is probably grammatically incorrect but I thought it was fitting as this is what Google translate said:

Interesting to see you've all been keeping in touch. I'd like this printed and hung up in a picture frame. My VersaLife office feels a bit...empty. It could do with some sprucing up. Perchance is a family portrait out of the question?
i just finished importing these triplets into the dx1 engine
you can download them here if you want to use them for some reason (credit me tho)

Bob Bob is this AI generated or else explain yourself
Considering my background in computer science and working closely with various neural net architectures, I am indeed qualified enough to answer this question.
*loads the image into my ocular enhancement to have a closer look*
Now, let me see…
*takes a long pause*
…The piece you have presented appears far too sophisticated to be created by a machine-learning algorithm. I would hazard a guess our technology is perhaps, at the very least, 5 years behind this level of performance.
However, the question is…
Where did you get this?

An introduction...
Honesty is not something I come by often. When you're at my level, you'll find that everyone around you plays a role, acts their part in a rehearsed manner, maintaining the illusion that they are in control. What's worse is they don't even realize they're doing it anymore. I see right through them. So, let me be honest with you. I feared that my growing career success would alienate me from the general populace, so I created this account to combat that trend. I am certain some of you will be intimidated by my presence on this platform, but I do not intend to scare anyone off. In fact, I aim to facilitate a positive and productive network of like-minded individuals. On that point, I would prefer if you all refer to me in a light-hearted manner—please, call me Bob. 😉
