are we going to talk about how this isn't an evolution at all, but a regression, not only for Louis, but for Armand??? are we going to talk about how the Louis who was always good at running things was always running FROM things? how this confidence with Armand is just another hat for him to wear, another that is not his true nature??? the stern landlord, the deferential businessman, the loyal son, Maître. are we going to talk about that???

are we going to talk about "no one has painted me in 400 years," and how Louis has picked up the brush?? are we going to talk about how these two lost vampires are trying to anchor themselves to one another, but neither is anchored to a base to begin with?? are we going to talk about how they will sink, each pulled down by the weight of the other, until there is nothing but darkness and emptiness and the ocean floor for them to call home??? are we going to talk about that??????
