Don't have the energy to write a lot about art, and I haven't posted anything on here for a while, so I'm just gonna bite the bullet and publish some things with minimal notes for myself. Big fan of CanisAlbus, love their dynamic lines and simple rendering, very Mucha inspired <3
Absolutely insane character designs, too!

Very nice art style variety depending on tools/medium also.

Big fan of this Bilibin-inspired one above.

Honorable mention to Blackberry-s0da, similar style, very impressive linework, too!

Love the traditional feel on this bull:

This will be another joint appreciation post for Gveanel and Reykat, both of whom I respect deeply for their incredible rendering skills and renaissance-like attention to detail. There's also a curveball in the end with a Beth Cavener cameo in the end :}

Both of them has mastered a rendering technique for fur which is both silky and filigree-like. On some of Gveanel's work later hair and fur is almost gravity-defying, as if submerged in water.

Even the more sketchy from Reykat stuff is fantastic. It really helps you narrow down the focal points of each piece. Plus, I enjoy seeing the process exposed like this.

Gveanel's art is similar in this ethereal feeling, while also taking a very classical approach to render and ways of presenting the subject.

Gorgeous filigree-like fur is present as well:

I once again really appreciate sketches, fantatic insight into the process and how a piece "should" look like at every step.

And these might look familiar to Beth Cavener's fans, I believe Gveanel is open about their inspiration and I think I discovered Beth through them!

Here's Beth's incredible sculpture as well:

For this one, I'd like to join Eli Spencer and Sorochii together. I love how simple yet effective the shape language is, how striking the character designs are, the limited use of color is so appealing. It's so muted yet vibrant.

The underpainting here is very very pretty! I also love the use of hatching on both of these artists' work. Eli below:

With Sorochii, I also admire the push for maximalism in full illustrations, all of them being extremely rich and detailed and full of life:

Once again I find hatching highly appealing!
Their character designs are arguably even more outstanding, bursting with creativity and personality:

I've been Kipine's fan for a long time, so I think it's due for me to put into words what I like about it! One of the main appeals for me is how they render fur. It's not overwhelmingly detailed, yet every part you can zoom in on is still very obviously fur. They do a fantastic job at conveying wispy, fluffy, or bristly fur, while creating very tactile looks for each. It's very appealing to me that, theoretically, if you know where to put every brush stroke, you could render fur like this very quickly. That's going to be one of the goals for me: painting smarter and more efficiently.
I also absolutely adore how they do white vs black fur, and how sketchy they can keep certain pieces while still looking absolutely complete. I have always suffered from the overworking disease, so it's something I admire to do.

Kipine's chartacter design work has also been incredibly impressive. Their wisdom to put details only in certain areas of interest is very appealing. I especially find Mask of the Moon and the jester character extremely well designed, with the latter's shape language being exceptionally strong.

This character takes the cake though, actually genius:

I've recently discovered this artist, gtsleep1200, and have immediately fallen in love with their style. They have truly mastered the rules of soft and hard edges, with insides of their silhouettes being extremely minimal, most of the definition done through soft rendering instead of lines.

And yet, their volume and textures are exquisite: skin, feathers and fabric all having their own feel. I also adore how they are confident enough to make certain edges disappear, e.g. character hair blending into the background, or, much more subtly, facial features disappearing into the face.

I'm also enamored by their composition and subject use. I have never had much interest in backgrounds, I don't like doing composition and even if I use a 3D render to help myself, I still find it a chore. So, I am fascinated by how this artist fills their canvasses with characters in such an interesting way, creating a rich composition with semi-abstract elements and collaging objects over each other to find new special meanings within their works.

I really like the body becoming completely invisible here, character reduced the their face, gorget, and hands.
