THE GROUNDWORK
The first photo shoot was shot by one of Chicago’s most talented photographers Nick Brazinsky.
When I first designed the logo of the Paislee ltd brand I wanted to take one small element that represents early nineties culture and have it embody the flavor of the era. In every major city in the nineties there was so much gang culture, that it influenced everything from the music, style of dress and even the lingo. NWA, Snoop, Biggie and Tupac were the taste-makers that brought this culture to the masses.
It was really important for me to curate and art direct the first shoot to keep all the influences that represent the vibe of the 90s while still making it relevant to today’s culture and somehow bringing it full circle. These photos led the groundwork for the image of Paislee ltd.

DESIGNED BY BOGDAN
I would like to take this opportunity to introduce the man behind the brand. My name is Bogdan and as far back as I could remember I wanted to design and create apparel.
Growing up in the midwest most of my influences came from the internet and seeing the flourishing underground culture that was so abundant in places like NY and LA.
Considered in my mind like far off magical places where creativity was abundant I became entranced with the cities and key players in the game. Artists like Shepard Fairey, Futura 2000, Jeff Staple, Mr. Cartoon, David Choe and Jeff Koons were the ninjas I looked up to. Living legends that created works of art for gallery and the streets.
From these influences I dove head first into the creative drug of choice the best spoke to me… screen printing. With a rebellious spirit in my heart and a couple bucks from a summer job I dropped out of college and started my own apparel printing business.
It wasn’t easy but through hard work and perseverance I built a profitable business that allowed me to have the startup funds for my next venture … PAISLEELTD.

TEN THOUSAND HOURS
It took a tremendous amount of time throughout my life to fine tune the ability to create something that stands uniquely on its own. The series of events that led me to this point were hard fought. In life there are those who work their craft with finesse and knowledge built through hours upon hours of practice, that once mastered they have a tendency of making something very difficult look easy. The truth is that in life nothing worthwhile ever comes easy.
Before you saw PAISLEE LTD worn by countless celebrities and musicians as well as in some of the most exclusive boutiques in the country and around the globe there was ten thousand hours spend perfecting my craft. Join me as I guide you on a journey of how it all started and how a kid from Chicago found himself in the Big Apple.
