The most noticeable detail of John's costume in the early years is the chic spectator black'n'white shoes. Famous model from the 20's (gangsters, swing, cads and bounders), with some 70s twist - pimp heels and platform. God knows (and Roger, maybe!), where Fred dug out this pair, but it fits perfectly into the monochrome costumes of Queen and suits John very well .
