Ii ne! (“Like!”)
youtube
“Girls are surely forces of utter chaos, right down to their dreams.”
OR: The ‘Like’ in the title is like the thumbs up ‘Like!’ you hit on Facebook to express approval (as seen in the girls’ choreography). To convey this more easily, I took the liberty of adding a hashtag.

Edo no Temari Uta II (“Edo Handball Song II”)
youtube
“The Furisode Fire is at Honmyouji—the tight grip of love is a terrifying thing. When the beautiful kimono bursts into flames, the fire flies.”
OR: A retelling of the Great Fire of Meireki, with a ton of 17th century pop-culture references on the side.

Mosab Emad Ali, part of the heart of the Sameer Project, was also martyred recently. The organizers could use all the support they can get right now.

how does the reading comprehension of tumblr users match up against the students you teach
look.....I may have 1 or 2 students in my younger classes that have issues e.g. 14 year old who will always end up working on the wrong google classroom post because he didn't watch and listen when I showed them where to find the work, 15 year old who wrote his whole exam about the wrong thing because "I didn't realise there were essay questions at the top of the page"
however. these are young teenagers. who are still learning that skill. and sometimes it's my fault for not making instructions clear enough. most of this is down to clear instructions, and other issues of auditory processing from students (and me talking too fast)
you lot get to go back and double check, reread what you're commenting on, think it over, THEN send the ask. and I assume most of you are over the age of 14 so.....
I think the main issue is people not caring if they've read things correctly here. they have the option to, for example, check the FAQ and choose not to, because they can't be bothered. and honestly, whatever you do you, but don't get pissed when I put you on blast and make fun of you for asking why there's a subsection in the bracket

Include nonprofessional productions, like community theater or school plays. This is asking only about seeing them live– do not include times you've watched recordings of plays/musicals. DO include shows you've seen multiple times. For any productions you were involved in (as cast/crew/etc), use your own judgement to decide if that counts.
If you don't know the exact number, just make your best estimate.
We ask your questions anonymously so you don’t have to! Submissions are open on the 1st and 15th of the month.
#50 to 99 as a guesstimate#i've been in several theatre weekends where it's ~10 plays during the weekend#and then watching my high school's theatre diploma play productions which is easily ten half-hour plays in two days#plus kid plays i saw as a child#plus plays i have seen in school or during higj school courses#and then watching plays my friends are involved in (either acting or production or dressmaking etc)#and then random ones i have seen by chance#i might be at over a 100 but honestly i wouldn't know#realistically like 70-120ish i think#for context for most of my life i have lived in cities with EXTREMELY lively amateur theatre scene#to the point that official productions sometimes disappoint me#since to me a play always has a message it has something to say#and then i go see a comedy about hetero marriages falling apart or some shit and go :/#when compared to like. boy theatre group telling stories about finnish boyhood and male image and its trappings#a young adult group failing to get the permission for vagina monologies and ending up with a production that blew my absolute mind#or idk just very witty and interesting commentary on any subject#not to say that many Official Big-Name Productions do not have anything to say#but the context changes once there is money involved and big guys deciding how to use it yk yk#a lot of absolutely amazing big productions exist#unforchies i do not have money for them so my options are mid-sized professional theatres or amateur plays#and out of those two amateur theatre (except summer theatre) wins any day#pajulintu chirps#pajulintu chirps in the tags

In my opinion it's a lot more healthy to be able to own that you dislike someone for petty reasons than to do all kinds of mental gymnastics to make everyone you don't really vibe with out to be a bad person actually

Here it is, this years bracket!!!
These are the top 32 fandoms with the most submissions (each of these got 10 or more)
FAQ:
yes it is seeded, based on the numbebr of submissions
each round lasts a week, and the first will be posted in a few days
I select the images for the poll by googling the fandom, and using the first image that comes up on google images so PLEASE dont come complaining about the image not accurately representing the fandom, unless the image is completely unrelated to the fandom (e.g. image of a witch instead of the witcher) i dont care
at the end of each round I will post the funny propaganda people added to their submission + the number of submissions it got
I do not reblog/post propaganda while the poll is ongoing so those asks will be deleted
vote based on tumblr in the last year (but i cant stop anyone from voting a different way)
from now on, asks will be tagged as #fandom poll ask, and each round will be tagged as #2025 fandoms 1, #2025 fandoms 2 etc
Feel free to send an ask with any other questions, this post will be pinned and act as the FAQ so will be updated as this goes on
Also if you are involved in one of these, please send an ask telling me if the fandom goes by any other name so I can tag properly!

Spotlight for the Revive Gaza's Agriculture Program
DISCLAIMER IF YOU ARE MESSAGING ME ABOUT A CAMPAIGN: I receive too many messages every day to personally respond to. I will reblog and queue your post as I receive your message, but I am unlikely to message back. This is not personal; it's just the only manageable way for me to deal with the volume of messages. Thank you for understanding.
The original version of this post was a rotating list of links for both Sudan and Gaza. I was unable to keep up with actually rotating out the links, and so I thought it might be for the best if I just focus all my energy onto one mutual aid campaign. I'll link the original masterpost at the end of this one.
If you've followed me for any amount of time, you probably know that agriculture is one of my passions. I firmly believe in food sovereignty and food justice.
So I was glad to learn about the Revive Gaza's Agriculture project. This program not only produces food (which is critical right now), but it also undermines the blockade intended to starve out Gazans, and is working to provide jobs. The organization has stated that later stages will help remediate the soil that has been poisoned over the course of the genocide.
Their progress in their own words:
Cultivated 1,019 dunums of vegetables with 537 farming families, comprising a total of 3,370 individuals.
Produced 5,090 tons of fresh vegetables.
Rehabilitated 17 greenhouses.
Rehabilitated 2 agricultural wells serving 6,000 individuals.
Provided fishing nets to 30 fisherfolk.
Distributed poultry to families.
If you are wanting to send money to mutual aid programs, please, consider this one.
