This was starting to feel a little lonesome, Asaka mused to herself as she continue to stand by and watch as the rest of the student went around, minding their own businesses. This really had been planned for couples, or at least for having someone accompany you. The slow music, the lack of other activities to be done, everything that would be more enjoyable if shared. It was a little depressing, actually.

Still, not long after she had uttered her comment on the atmosphere itself, a familiar voice reached her ears. As she turned, Asaka found herself looking at the very person she had hoped to meet up with. Wow, she must’ve been deep in thought not to notice him!

And… Ren didn’t recognize her. The fighter wasn’t sure if this should be upsetting or something she should’ve expected. It probably was nothing considering the same thing happened to Tetsu, who had known Ren for much longer, during the Circuit. Yes, this wasn't anything to be hurt over. Perhaps it would even be a good idea to play along just like they had done whenever Ren asked about Joker X.

"It looks like fun, doesn't it?" Besides, Asaka didn't really mind the circumstances so long as they both could enjoy themselves. "I'm not really waiting for anyone, and some company does sound like it would make the night more interesting." The response came with a soft giggle from the female before she took a sip of the beverage in her hand.

Who knows, maybe this would actually turn out even more interesting if her identity did remain a secret.

It was finally the night of the ball and Asaka had to admit she felt content, excited even. Although this was a high school and this kind of event would usually equate to a regular party, she had to wonder if this was going to be different. Still, just the idea of masks and general theme was enough to spark her interest. Maybe it was that, not so secret, dramatic side of hers. Besides, fun was fun regardless of what form it took, right?

As she got ready for the event, the fighter tried to be as quick as she could, albeit remaining as careful and conscious as usual. She had started to prepare herself later than she initially expected, having to drop by Ren’s dorm to help the male with his attire; although, the delay was mostly due to her poor attempts at dissuading him from wearing a cape, but it really was all for naught.  With her dress and high heeled shoes ready, Asaka rearranged her hair to pin back the longer strands of hair that normally fell over her face so they wouldn’t cover her mask more than her bangs already did. Some hairpins, simply adorned with decorative small rose-like accents did the trick perfectly. “There we go.”

Yet, she was worried, more than anything else by the agreement she had reached with her leader. Would the redhead be able to find her amidst the crowds? Normally she'd trust him with something that sounded so easy, but this was a masquerade, and the Japan Stage of the VF Circuit had proven that Ren's ability to identify others was far from being the best. Would Ren recognize her when he was unable to do so with Tetsu, regardless of all the evidence pointing at Joker X's identity?

Sighing softly, the azure eyed teen left her room and headed for the designated location for the gathering. While she did have the intention of meeting with her teammate, if only for a moment to check on him, Asaka had little doubts that he was already inside and doing as he pleased. After realizing that, and waiting for a few minutes, she decided it was best to go ahead and enter. The first thing she noticed was the pleasant soft rhythm of the music, nothing as boisterous as she’d expected from a party, given the age range. They were off a good start, it seemed.

A quick stroll around gave the female a good idea of what areas seemed more lively, a good hint when it came to locating her leader, although she did wish to meet with other people as well. With that taken care of, she stood around, a glass of punch in her hand, as her eyes scanned the crowds for someone that could prove interesting. “Well, at least this place has a nice atmosphere.”
