Net Neutrality is Dead and You Can Expect Your Internet to Change on April 23rd

Yeah, no, I’m cross-tagging because the lack of attention this is getting overall is pissing me off.

Ajit Pai killed Net Neutrality. You’ll start seeing the effects you were warned about on April 23rd. Oh, and he apparently got an award for Courage from the NRA gun nuts, too.

You can still help by calling your senators and representatives. We just need ONE MORE PERSON on our side to get the senate portion of Congress to overrule the FCC’s decision to kill net neutrality. The battle for the net won’t end there, but it’s a start. Go to battleforthenet to find out who your reps are and where they stand, and CONTACT THEM.

Twenty-three states are also suing the FCC for this. I haven’t looked into it yet, but I assume big businesses like Google and Amazon are as well. Nevertheless, we can’t rely on lengthy lawsuits alone. The changes to your internet start in less than two months. We don’t have a whole lot of time.

Blow this up. Contact your reps. Please, do something! We HAVE to get the decision overruled!

Choi Seungcheol

You had locked yourself in the bathroom pacing back and forth. You were between fear and happiness; not knowing how to bring up the news to Seungcheol, the news that you were pregnant with his child. You didn’t want to add more stress to him, but he needed to know.

Taking a deep breath you reach out for the doorknob, but you hesitated immensely, your arm in mid-motion and the pregnancy test clutched into your other hand. It was now or never wasn’t it?? You walk out of the bathroom surprised to see Seugncheol stood there. Eventually, his gaze slowly shifted to your hand, a look of confusion coating his face as he reached for your hand, you opened your hand to show him the object you were holding onto tightly.

“This isn’t a prank right?? We’re having a child of our own?!?!” He took you into his arms and lifted you up from the ground; happiness radiating off of him.

Yoon Jeonghan

You had the suspicion that Jeonghan knew about your pregnancy, he was only waiting for you to tell him first. The thing is that not even you could believe that you were now growing a little human in your stomach and that little human was a mix of both you and Jeonghan. For about a week straight you’ve taken pregnancy test after test always getting back the symbol that could only represent positive.

Finally, you were able to get Jeonghan alone and before you could even take a breath to start speaking he spoke up, “when were you going to tell me??” He asked lifting up a bag with all seven of the tests that you’ve taken. You didn’t know what to say, “w-why do you have all of those??“ 

He pulled you into him, "I’m happy about it if that’s what you’re worried about; I’m just disappointed you didn’t tell me any sooner.”

Hong Jisoo

Recently, you found out that you were pregnant you’ve been waiting to have Joshua alone to tell him the news; however, each time you’re close to telling him he’s pulled away for dance practice, recording or getting ready for an award show. You could tell he was eager to know what you so dearly wanted to let him know, even when he made time for the both of you to talk he always had to do something, and it was very frustrating for you, more so when you started to think about when the baby was born and how he would still be too busy for it.

But finally, it was him you pulled you aside, “what is it that you’ve been wanting to tell me. I’m sorry for being so busy.” You had managed to get a visit to the doctor’s office recently, so you showed him the sonogram. He looked at you with confusion and disbelief, but as he took the picture in his hands and took his time to stare at it in awe, he hugged you as tight he should considering the little bean in your stomach.

“I love the both of you so much.” He pulls you into a tight embrace not wanting to let go.

Wen Junhui

You were setting up a clever, and simple, way of telling Jun that his child was in your womb; at the same time you didn’t want anything too extravagant, so you went for a punny approach to the situation.

You made your way to the kitchen and put a bun in the oven, knowing that even with this approach it would take Jun a couple of minutes to figure out. With nervousness running through your body you called Jun down to the kitchen. “Yeah??” He asked confused, you point towards the oven. With confusion he opened it, “there’s a bun in the oven??” He stars off to the ceiling with pure confusion.

Finally, he gasped loudly, “My family is going to be so excited!! My brother is going to be an uncle!!” He ran off to get his phone, you followed him and laughed with a shake of your head.

Kwon Soonyoung

You felt that the best way to tell Soon was to walk into the dance practice room and just tell him; although even that seemed like a bad idea, you felt that you had no other choice. All you wanted was to know how he would react to the news, yet you hesitated the most you ever have. Being pregnant was a big deal and mostly when your significant other was a well-known idol with barely anytime for even himself.

Upon entering the practice room the first thing you saw was Soon creating a dance; you were able to tell by the look on his face as he did a few moves. “I have to tell you something.” There was no point trying to ease him into the news. He seemed to be in a daze from suddenly coming back to reality, “what’s wrong??” Here it comes, you took a deep breath, “I’m pregnant,” you closed your eyes tightly, your head immediately turned towards the floor. There was deafening silence not even his breath could be heard.

He pulled you into his chest and you managed to catch sight of his shocked expression, “we’ll make this work. I love you.”

Jeon Wonwoo

For some unknown reason, once you found out you were pregnant with Wonwoo’s child you didn’t have the guts to tell him, each time you had the chance you chickened out and ended up not telling him the news. You didn’t know how he would react. or if he even really wanted a child with you; also taking into consideration that in his field of work, time for yourself or others is like a blue moon-not gonna happen anytime soon. 

Wonwoo, picked up on your strange behavior, and he wanted to know if had done something wrong, so finally, he sat you down in the living room, held your hand, and asked what was wrong, that he knew he wasn’t the easiest person to talk to, but he’ll still listen to you when you want him to and try to add some input. This made you tear up a little and spilled that you were pregnant.

“You could have told me much earlier. I would have loved to know about it from the beginning.” While he still held your hand, he pulled you into his chest and kissed your temple.

Lee Jihoon

It was just another normal day at the studio with Jihoon, and it had only been two days since you had learned about your pregnancy and he’s he’s been busy, but what better to do to just tell him right here right now since he’s only editing the music and vocals for today, so he can take a break for two seconds.

You call his name and immediately caught his attention; once for certain you knew you had his full attention, you said that you were pregnant. And all he did was stare and blink. It went like this for a few moments, of him looking between you and your stomach, you weren’t sure how long it would take for him to finally respond, so you stood and walked out of the studio letting him know that you’ll allow for him to take his time to fully understand. 

Eventually, he finally came up with an answer, “I’m still in shock and confused, but we’re in this together.”

Lee Seokmin

Deep down you knew that however you told Seokmin about the baby, he would be ecstatic; he’s been thinking about starting a family in some way, be it a pet or a child. The only thing you didn’t want to do is shock him with the way you tell him; you can’t just blurt it out anywhere. 

And luckily for you he currently was on a quick break as you rushed towards the practice room and pulled him out into the hall; it was too early for there to be anyone to come by this hallway. You greeted each other and finally, you spilled the beans about you being pregnant. He gasped and tried to scope you out trying to see if you were lying or not.

“Wait really?!?! Wow, you really aren’t lying!! I’m so happy.” He took you into his arms and spun you around.

Kim Mingyu

You knew that Mingyu would be -at least somewhat- cocky about it because he ‘made’ that; you had absolutely no worries about him being shocked or have any other negative emotion towards your pregnancy. If you were being honest, you were actually kind of excited to tell him about the pregnancy when thinking about his potential reaction.

You called him over expecting him to leave his food, he didn’t, but he kept eating as he walked over to you. Pulling him into the empty studio you let him know that you were pregnant.

“Well, we’ll have a beautiful baby, thanks to our genes.” His lips held a small smirk as he kissed your cheek lovingly.

Xu Minghao

You knew that Minghao would be in an excited shock when you bring up the news about you being pregnant with his baby. You yourself are extremely excited to tell him the news about your pregnancy, so you told him that you’ll wait for him in his room because you have some new to tell him about. He asked if the news was good or bad, but you just said that it depends on how he takes the news.

In the meantime, you took a nap to pass the time, until he came back from practice and recording. When he came back to his room it was about two in the morning, and even though you were asleep and he should probably wait until a more proper hour, he still woke you up. Your messages left him wondering what the news was. You woke up and realized that he was finally back, you don’t waste time with stalling and tell him that you’re pregnant.

And there it was the shocked excitement, “what?? Are you serious!! ….Wow, I’m so excited.”

Boo Seungkwan

You knew that Seungkwan would be proud that you’re the person he’s starting a family with, only because he’s told you countless times and you were always so appreciative of that statement. You finished taking your last pregnancy test, just because you wanted to make extra sure that this was real before you got Seungkwan’s hopes up. 

But, it was real and you were excited about Seungkan’s reaction to your pregnancy. You went out to get his favorite meal so you could eat together and set the mood for a happy one so you could tell him. And that’s what you did once you’ve both finished your meals and had quality time together.

“You know that I’m happy and that I’m proud you’re who I’ll be starting a family with. My family feels exactly the same way.” He pulls you into a loving hug, his smile not leaving his face.

Chwe Hansol

You were talking to a family member on the phone and he just so happened to overhear; and how happy he was that he did. Vernon was excited that the person he loved the most in this world -other than his family- was pregnant with his baby. And as he stood in the doorway waiting for you to end your call to give you all of the kisses, hugs, and love that you deserve.

Once you were done with your phone call he walked up to you and gave you the most loving hug around your shoulders and a kiss on top of your head.

“I wish I was the first person to know, but we’re starting a little family of our own.” He’d then leave plenty of kisses on your forehead.

Lee Chan

You knew how surprised Dino would be to find out, he’d be sad that he wouldn’t be with his new family member as much as he’d want to because of his profession as an idol. Even when it was just the two of you, he would feel bad for leaving you behind whenever he traveled. He wished that he could take you everywhere with him. 

And when you told him that’s exactly what he said, but you reassured him that the both of you would be alright. You told him that you had family and friends that could take care of you while he was gone.

“If you say so, but I’ll do anything I can to make it to the birth,” he kissed you with all he had and held you for as long as he could.

By chance the universe just happened to have you to be placed in the same classes each period during junior year

With him being surprisingly good in math and science but not wanting to admit it and your teachers needing someone with a strong personality such as yourself to push him

It was by choice that you both, after weeks of putting on a stubborn front—well you were actually the stubborn one—that you decided to help each other

Well it was a one sided thing, you see you just thought you were helping Mingyu stay on his school shit and it was nothing more than that

But he saw you, he saw a crack in the strong shell that you had made for yourself. You were confident yes in many ways you would have words come out your mouth and not give a damn who thought what about it

You just didn’t have the confidence to free yourself and really show people that you weren’t strong or brave all the time

So him being him slowly started to get you to out that strong shell
