sometimes I think about the fact that one of the most unrealistic things about the fic I tend to read is not the sci-fi/fantasy/space opera/magic of it all (though yes those are very obviously unrealistic things) but the fact that the characters have heartfelt, meaningful relationships with one another and genuinely care for one another

and that is what I want to have, more than anything else

still working on remnants of destruction! I know I said that I had a chapter ready to post but I kinda fell off the wagon with posting in general, and at this point I figured I might as well go back to the mentality of "finish whole fic, then post" 😅

so yeah, I made some good progress yesterday and am close-ish writing-wise to the endgame of that fic! I'm hoping that I can wrap it up and start posting again relatively soon, so stay tuned!

My thoughts:

Series 15 is clearly by far the weakest, however it is safe to assume these results are skewed by the abysmal finale, excluding the polls for the final two episodes the results are much closer to, though still below those of series 14

I would like to specifically point out the results of The Reality War, no other story, across the whole era, recieved a score of less than 6 the first go around, and only two (Wish World and Space Babies, and even then just barely) scored less than a 6 the second time around, The Reality War managed half of that. Additionally, the lowest previous mode of 6 belonged to Space Babies on only its follow up poll, The Reality War has a mode of 1, and the second highest levels of agreement across any previously conducted. Aside from Wild Blue Yonder, the most popular options on any given poll fall between 20 and 35%, The Reality War was scored a 1 by around 40% of people. The dislike for the episode cannot be understated

Star Wars: Tales from the Nightland | September 2025

On the planet Ryloth, Twi'leks speak in hushed tones about the Nightlands, the spectral realm where their spirits retire after death. According to legend, there are certain nights when the veil between that haunted place and the land of the living is so thin that one can communicate with the other side. Enter: The Nightlander, a Star Wars boogeyman who seeks to possess a powerful, living host and bring despair to the galaxy! Each issue features one of three generations of galactic heroes facing off against the malevolent Nightlander. Issue #1 sees young Padawan Anakin Skywalker visiting Ryloth with Master Obi-Wan Kenobi, attempting to summon the ghost of Qui-Gon Jinn for a final goodbye. But when Anakin makes contact with the Nightlands, it isn't his old friend who answers! Issue #2 features Luke & Leia facing this horror, and Issue #3 pits Rey & Finn against a dark power unlike any in the galaxy.
