Some cis women will come at me telling me that trans people are taking away women's rights. Meanwhile many countries are throwing out women's rights thanks to cis men taking the lead.

It's literally one of the core things within drama therapy. We help pur clients create different characters or roles in order to give a voice to trauma and whatever parts fall underneath. For example, people will create a character who's ashamed, one that's angry and one that doesn't feel seen. The client could create stories where they could do all kinds of stuff without their being any consequences because it is all set in an imaginary world. The client could recreate parts of their story they wish would have gone different and then we work on what they'd need to move on from that imaginary world to the one we live in. There are even techniques where the client can talk to those characters and vice versa which helps them see that trauma is a complex thing. It often helps them see that the way they dealt with that trauma has helped them survive and that's okay, but now they are ready to move on. To discover new characters within them or create characters they can use to move forward. I could keep yapping about how creating characters is healing...

be careful with what series you watch/read during emotional points in your life because they will forever contain a ghost of your past self within it now

i think thereās actually nothing better than being randomly told āI love youā after doing something characteristically stupid. Like what do you mean Iām a lovable person and I just did something silly and you thought āof course you would do that. I love you.ā. No better feeling

I am so done with people claiming that understanding academical words isn't a privilege. I am so done with people claiming that in order to understand an academic text, you only have to look up a few words and if you don't it's simply because you are lazy. I am so done with people denying that academical texts are hard to comprehend for many people and exclude many people because they can't see how many skills are needed to understand such a text.
Yes, we need those fancy texts, but we also need people who can explain them with less fancy ass words so the information becomes available and accessible for a larger group of people.

I need you to know that ChatGPT isn't better than the human mind even when it is portrayed at such.
I work with kids and my colleague was using ChatGPT for inspiration on activities we could do during two weeks of no school.
1. I already had such activities listed and did it all based on the training and experience I have when it comes to working with kids.
2. It turned out the activities I created were way more personal and based on the needs and interests of each kid. I even had a varity of each activity so the kids who couldn't walk on their own could participate as well.
3. My colleague literally said he was impressed by the things I came up with. So I told him to ask me for some nice and fun activities instead of some harmful bot instead.
4. I also told him to try and come up with creative activities for kids himself, which is pretty new to him so he could ask me for feedback. The result was an altered activity he himself had created because he challenged his own mind and looked at the individual needs of each kid. Not internet bot was used and out of all the activities he did with the kids, the one that wasn't based on the answers of a bot was their favorite.

'People are panicking about AI tools the same way they did when the calculator was invented, stop worrying' cannot stress enough the calculator did not forcibly pervade every aspect of our lives, has such a low error rate it's a statistical anomaly when it does happen, isn't built on mass plagiarism, and does not obliterate the fucking environment when you use it. Be so fucking serious right now

Hey, hereās a concept. What if we stopped saying ābut autistic people CAN do all those thingsā (erasing high support needs) and instead started saying ānot being able to do those things doesnāt impact someoneās value as a person nor does it make it okay to commit eugenicsā.
