Back to dropping more of the knd doodles I had stowed away on my lil notebook (ignore the miscellaneous notes lmao). Of course I decided to feature one of my fave cartoon couples of all time: 3/4! Been on that ship since I was 9 myself. Lemme just ramble about them a bit.

I have a vision that made this drawing come to life ok so in my head, 3/4 in high school that could go either two ways. The first one being they’d been THAT hs couple, the one that’s been together since who knows when that they’re almost one unit with the way they just sync and the random one week they break up is enough to send shock waves through the whole school OR the second option which this art is going with which is: the biggest will they/wont they mutual pining era where they’re not dating but they might as well be and the yearning comes to head mid junior year or senior year.

So for this doodle in particular, allow me to set the scene: imagine Kuki and Wally at some high school party and they’re at different points of the house. They lock eyes with each other amongst a sea of people. He’s a lil nervous but then she does something cute to distract him from it. Like a tilt from her head. Maybe an inside thing that only the two of them get. Suddenly it’s like the whole world slows down/fades away because there’s just this surge of Something so palpable. Something with a name that’s just on the tip of their tongue. It all hinges on a step forward.

Got back into rewatching codename kids next door during my break and I was inspired to draw the only plus size girl I’ve seen (at that time) that at least got to have a relationship with the main protagonist for a bit. While it was FAR from perfect rep, given that it was set in the 2000’s…I still can’t help but have a small soft spot for her and the kid me that was kinda happy to see a girl shaped like me. Like ok you polarising diva!

I’ve been on and off the Knd tag on tumblr over the years and decided it’s high time to add a little something haha myself. Anyways, I drew kid her on the left and teen her in the right. I’m no professional by any means (literally doodled this on a tiny notebook). Might upload some other sketches soon hopefully!
