-so yeah after everything that went down with zaheer, korra has lasting complications including chronic pain

-korra uses both water bending and fire bending to help soothe her pain

-katara gives her some tips from what she did to help sokka with his chronic pain

-sometimes it helps, sometimes the act of bending is just too much for her already exhausted body and she just lies down and hopes that despite the pain she’ll be able to get some sleep

-when she and asami start dating and asami learns more about korra’s time recovering in the south pole, it breaks her heart to learn just how much korra was suffering while asami wasn’t able to be there to help her. she’ll hold korra when she’s having a hard day and tell her “i’m here now, and i’m not leaving”
