Okay, so, I've mentioned before how I'm having some difficulties in NOT making my next DnD character a loxodon, right? Since I kinda promised myself my next character would have a more human face so my DnD buddies could actually draw them, right?

Well, we're having a session zero for the next campaign next week, so I'm doing some reading ahead of time, trying to figure out what class to go for, and

Final day of the annual international market.

In the end I did end up revisiting the nepalese place, and the recommended dish (matar paneer) was, indeed, fucken delicious. Wonder if any local restaurants have this on their menu...

Also starring a german pretzel that I forgot from yesterday's post and these other things that were also from a german stall but which name I do not know in english nor german. The Finnish word is rahkamunkki, though. Kinda like doughnuts? Blobs of dough that have been fried in oil. Anyway, love them.

Also gave in and got another scarf from a stall I can't remember the country of, but itxs very soft, and also shiny, and a deer antler from a finnish stall that otherwise sold knives and wooden crafts. (I just had a pay day, can you tell)

It is, also, almost inhumanely hot today, but the visit was well worth it for the noms!

Missed the first day this year for DnD reasons, but other than that I'm having so many noms. Met with some friends yesterday with chocolate boba drinks (forgot whether the stall was korean or thai...) and italian pizza (not pictured), today got some bubble tea, nepalese chicken tikka masala, and spanish churros.

I'm torn about tomorrow. I definetely need some baked goods, but I'm not sure about my lunch. I had been planning on some salmon, as it's one of my usual choices at these markets, but I chatted with one of the vendors today, who recommended a cheese dish from the same nepalese stall I had just been to, and now I really want to get a taste. I usually prefer to spread my money around, and visit a different food stall each of the four days, but maybe I'll have to break my tradition this year? It got already cut short by a day, skipping another point doesn't feel like much bigger of a betrayal after that.

Finally got a proper watering can for my windowsill plants! (Used to use a cardboard mug with the rim cut diagonally into a kinda sorta beak, but the way the hahnii has been growing lately it's become rather difficult to maneuver beneath the leaves)

Though, being a solid, single color pale green, I thought it needed a little decorating, so it's now customized with a sticker I'd bought from @eskiworks some time ago, which I personally think fit the job perfectly! Bonus points for also matching the mini of my DnD character that also lives there, since the stabby cat is also a torbie like the sticker.

A new experience aquired: visited a tailor.

Finally got fed up they don't make pants that fit me (wide hips, relatively narrow waist, short legs), have high enough waist not to undress me whenever I squat down AND have enough pocket space for my phone and pocket notebook (it's pocket notebook! It should fit! Inside! Of! A fucken! Pocket!!), and also don't rub to shreds at the inner thighs by a single evening walk, so I marched to a dressmaker's store to ask about it.

Well, texhnically I first went couple weeks ago, but since it was getting close to graduation season they were pretty swamped, but they told me to come back later, and yesterday I did.

Gonna be expensive, not gonna lie, but pants have always been such a problem with my shape. I'm at the point I'm willing to pay for not having to keep buying new, more or less ill fitting pants that I have to bring to my mom to shorten the legs anyway, that'll then wear down in a month or two regardless.

We'll see, in probably two weeks, how it goes!

So I'm watching this Critical Role 10 year anniversary panel by IGN (as recommended by youtube), and did they just say they've recorded lines for season one *and two* of the Mighty Nein animated series?

Confirmed at least two seasons already, when the first one isn't even out yet?? O.O

Was feeling dinosaurs while watching a nature documentary on TV, so ended up doodling down an idea for the dinosaur project thingy.

A giant looking for a snack in a sandy/muddy shore, while some Singing People go on their own business and just keep an eye on it.

On more probably positive news? I think? I have finally extricated myself from a toxic friendship. Honestly should have done this aaaaaaagees ago, there were so many red flags during the years (and having spent some days now analyzing the hindsight has brought so many more, like daymn!), but I was always too afraid of being left alone to do so.

But, like, if your blood pressure and pulse jump up like you're having an anxiety attack every time you see someone's name on your phone's notifications, that's a Very Important Sign it's high time to bail the fuck out.

I let it go on for way too long, being afraid of the potential fallout, but I honestly can't think of anything positive I would have gotten out of it since our old IRL DnD group disbanded couple years ago now.

I don't think I'm ever getting back a book they borrowed from me couple years back, but at this point I think I'll just cut my losses and accept it as a payment for better mental health.

Mmm, yep, caffeine is still forbidden on workdays.

I just wanted to test, it's been over a year since the last time I tried, so what if I tried just a tiiiiiiiiny ice latte with vanilla after work, but nah, weird jitters it is, still.

I guess it's a good sign that I haven't built a tolerance for my ADHD meds enough for them to lose their effectiveness (they're already expensive enough with my current dose, any higher and I don't know how my budget could handle it), but I'm still kinda sad for no ice latte.

Sads. Woe is me.

Celebrating my stabby cat surviving through the entire DnD campaign by attempting to draw a ship. Oh, boy!

For more than half the campaign, she has been dreaming of one day having her own ship to sail the seas (and hunt this one very specific pirate ship down and hopefully sinking it), and seeing as we have now survived the final boss battle, our post-campaign headcanons are on track to become actual canon!

So here's a bit of a concept sketch for Willowbird, a caravel Puro is dreaming of. Boy, do ships have way too many details to draw!

The stabby cat survived the final boss fight!

She was unconscious like three times in a row to be fair, but she did her duty as the tank, sponging up enemy attacks so the three squishiest members of the party stayed up the whole time!

(She maybe needs to apologise to our cleric for sucking so many healing spells, but the important thing is they both made it, even if said cleric only had a single spell slot left by the end of the battle.)

We got to look Tiamat in the eyes (multiple of them!) and deny her access to material plane.

Man, the stabby cat has grown so much during the campaign! Looking at the first color picture that I'm reference colors from, she was so small and squishy. She started out suspicious and distrusting, freshly rescued from a circus with two of her partymates; now she's grown into a hero with dreams of becoming a captain of her own sailing ship.

I'm so proud!

Also I have no idea what color that cape should be. (It's a Cloak of Billowing her partymates originally bought her as a joke)

We have the final battle ahead of us, and I'm reeeaaaaallllly hoping she'll make it!
