5G in India: Why is 5G not working on iPhone?
Tumblr media
Many iPhone users in India want to upgrade to the new 5G network but are disappointed to find out that their phones are not 5G compatible yet.
So, allow us to clear up all the confusion around 5G and iPhones.
First up, only the iPhone 12 and later support 5G. If you have an iPhone 11 or something older, you'd have to buy a new model to get 5G speeds.
Then, perhaps the bigger issue is that all 5G-capable iPhones need a software update directly from Apple in order to enable 5G support.
Airtel says that Apple is testing 5G in India right now, and that it has also set up special test networks for Apple.

5G in India: What would be the 5G speed in India?
Tumblr media
Until now, major Indian network providers have only made vague claims about their 5G data speeds, such as 5G being up to 30 times faster than 4G. But, we don't yet have a concrete number.
However, early adopters of 5G in India are sharing screenshots of their 5G speeds on Twitter. This should give us a good idea of how fast 5G is in the real world, at least on Airtel and Jio.
A user of Airtel 5G in Gurugram posted a screenshot on Twitter that showed a download speed of 837 Mbps and an upload speed of 119 Mbps.
On the other hand, another Twitter user shared the results of his Jio 5G speed test, which showed a download speed of 1,085 Mbps and an upload speed of 138 Mbps.

What is RBI's e-Rupee? 10 things you need to know about it
Tumblr media
RBI e-Rupee : While most countries are currently exploring the idea of central bank owned digital currency for their nation, India is also working towards introducing what is known as 'digital rupee'.
The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) said this in a concept note on central bank digital currency (CBDC) aimed to create awareness about such currencies in general and the planned features of the Digital Rupee, in particular, according to a release. India's CBDC will be called 'e-rupee'.
EJbiz points key highlights of the RBI's concept note on digital currency:
1. E-rupee or digital rupee is a digital version of the Indian rupee that the RBI is exploring. The RBI has proposed to issue two versions - wholesale for interbank settlement and retail for the public. According to the indirect model proposed by the RBI, you will hold the digital rupee in a wallet with a bank or service provider.
2. The digital currency must be accepted as a medium of payment, legal tender and a safe store of value by all citizens, enterprises and government agencies.
3. A large-scale pilot will be conducted, with users from different income levels, literacy levels, regions, genders and age groups. The Digital Rupee will be designed in a manner that's least disruptive to existing financial system.
4. While the digital rupee is identical to banknotes, it will be tailored for speedier and less expensive settlements.
5. Noting that out of 143.3 crore population, only 82.5 crore people have internet access, for financial inclusion it is necessary that the digital payment support offline capability.

Are you an overachiever or just a person with high-functioning anxiety?
Tumblr media
'Work until your account looks like a phone number', 'Thrive and repeat', 'I am a hustler', all of this sounds great, right? Until you actually start working on it. Well, as they say, every coin has two sides, it implies on a person who is an overworker too because along with success and financial growth, comes high-functioning anxiety.
So, know what it is; what its signs are and how you can deal with it.
What is high-functioning anxiety?
High functioning anxiety is a term that is very similar to mental health diagnoses like workaholism, perfectionism, and type A personality.
When it comes to anxiety, you do realise the feeling of dread and uneasiness that comes with a crisis at work or in life. However, in high-functioning anxiety, you aren't held back at all in terms of work and life in major ways.
In such a situation, a person might face restlessness, have trouble sleeping or unwanted thoughts, feel the heart pounding and face other uncomfortable symptoms of anxiety which aren't always that noticeable.
People with high-functioning anxiety are not the ones who crumble under pressure. Instead, they go an extra mile to meet deadlines, be overproductive and are always on their toes, but along with it, they are constantly anxious about their work and will go beyond expectations to solve any evasive problem by hook or by crook.
How do you deal with high-functioning anxiety?
Therapists and clinicians have identified restlessness and insomnia among others, as the signs of high-functioning anxiety. After you've figured out the signs, a therapist or mental health professional can help in teaching the coping mechanism.
Experts also say that those who deal with high-functioning anxiety need to see what is important to them other than work. They should prioritize things that they enjoy rather than anxiety making them do things.

Skintellectuals swear by moisture sandwiching; know how it works!
Tumblr media
Another day, another skincare trend to add to your routine! This time it's 'moisture sandwiching'. But, what does it involve and does it actually work? The clue is in the name, keep watching to know more!
What is moisture sandwiching?
Based on the three-second rule, moisture sandwiching is a process where you apply your skin care products just three seconds after washing your face with no drying in between. This ensures your skin is still wet when you apply serums and moisturisers.
How to do a moisture sandwich?
First, wash your face with the same old tap water. Now, on damp skin, apply a humectant-based serum (like hyaluronic acid) followed by a hydrating mist and then a moisturiser. And done, it's simpler than you thought.
Does moisture sandwiching actually work?
According to experts, applying light and hydrating products on damp skin after cleansing or exfoliating seals in moisture and absorbs the actives which in turn leads to prolonged hydration. Moisture sandwiching works best for people with dry skin.
Pro tip: Avoid moisture sandwiching with retinol products or anything that irritates your skin.

Supreme Court rules all women entitled to safe, legal abortion
Tumblr media
Noting that distinction between married and unmarried perpetuates stereotype that only married women are sexually active, the Supreme Court has said such distinction under abortion laws is artificial, constitutionally unsustainable.
The Supreme Court said all women, married or unmarried, are entitled to safe and legal abortion till 24 weeks of pregnancy under the Medical Termination of Pregnancy Act.
The three-judge bench led by Justice Chandrachud, also recognise marital rape, though purely within the ambit of abortion. The court ruled that under the Medical Termination of Pregnancy Act, the definition of rape must include marital rape.
