He genuinely thinks he’s forgotten how to breathe. Will can hear Jem’s breathing - only slightly different from his normal breathing patterns now. ( Not that Will keeps track of how Jem breathes - that would be an insane thing to do. ) They haven’t even looked at each other since they sat down. Well, that’s not completely true. Jem had looked over, had asked so very softly how long Will had wanted to do that - had wanted to kiss him. All Will could do was let out another hysterical laugh, his fingers digging into his knee as he answered far too loudly in their empty house, “since about twelve minutes after I met you. Stop talking.”
Jem’s still not sure how he’s supposed to react right now. Will had asked him to stop talking, so he did. But, he can still hear Will panting - like he just got back from running one of Jem’s trails outside, or like he just got back from a workout. Not like he just shoved his best friend against a wall and kissed him stupid. Although, Jem knows he did, he knows it happened, he can still taste Will on his lips. He can only hope the taste never fades. His eyes are trained on Will’s watching them flex against his knee, as Jem’s own fingers dig into the couch cushions beneath him.
Jem has no idea what to expect when Tessa arrives. Frankly, has no idea what Will is even thinking. And, Will, for his part, also has no idea what he’s thinking. The door clicks open, and Jem watches as Will shoots to his feet, and turns toward the door. Will’s blue eyes land on Tessa’s and the feeling of hearing Jem’s shoulders hit his bedroom door comes flooding back in his system.
“Okay, one of you explain why I had to ditch class to come over here right away,” she’s not even looking at them. Not really. Will watches as her eyes scan over the room, searching for anything out of place. He watches her eyes stumble over Jem’s position - still stock still on the couch, his fingers digging into the fabric - before she’s moving to Will. “And, you, you explain why you look like you want to maul me?”
She moves further into their small house. Will closes his eyes, and takes a deep breath as she moves by him, her fingers trailing softly down his arm as she passes. He sees it for what it is, a comforting touch, one to ground him. Instead, it makes his brain go a little fuzzy-pink again, and he thinks about Jem’s tongue in his mouth.
“I kissed Jem.”
“I know,” Tessa’s voice is soft, a soothing little bell, as she sits next to Jem, her arm moving over his shoulders. Another comfort. Jem jumps lightly at the contact, and Will watches his fingers flex against the cushion before digging back into the fabric. “And it’s completely okay,” Tessa’s eyes return to Will’s. There seems to be something under it all, a fiery determination to ensure Will isn’t about to screw this whole thing up. “Right, Will?”
“Completely-,” Will chokes on a laugh, his hands gesturing emptily around the room. He’s not even sure what he’s doing. “Yes, it’s completely fine. I’ve wanted to do that for years.”
“Then, what’s the problem? Why did I have to race over here?”
“Because I want to suck off my new boyfriend, but I thought it might be rude to exclude my new girlfriend from that! I don’t know the rules to this thing, yet, Theresa.” He sounds hysterical.
Jem’s eyes risk a glance towards Will’s, both of their jaws seeming to lock when their eyes meet.
“Oh,” Tessa’s arm pulls away from Jem, and instead she folds her hands neatly in her lap. “That was very thoughtful of you, Will.”
Will’s hands get tossed up once more, his body bending slightly at the waist, as if he’s once again in need of catching his breath. “Very thoughtful,” he mumbles to himself.
Jem allows himself to lean slightly closer to Tessa, as he drops his voice, “I can’t tell if he wants to have sex with me, or kill me, Tess.”
Despite the low whisper of his voice, Will still manages to hear it. Blue eyes flash to silver, and Jem feels his own eyes widen a bit. Will points a finger accusingly at Jem, as he straightens back up, then, he turns his finger towards Tessa.
“Yes. Yes, I was thoughtful, and I didn’t want to exclude you, and I didn’t know how to explain the situation fully on the phone, so here you are - and here we are, and obviously we plan to include you, but I’ve wanted to do unspeakable things to James Car.stairs since I met him, and I’m going to,” Jem’s brows lift slightly as Will speaks. He finds himself amazed that the other hasn’t needed to take a single breath through his whole speech. “We can discuss how you can be included, or you can watch, but,” oh, there’s the breath, as Will’s eyes cut back to Jem’s. The focus Jem usually only sees Will hand to memorizing poems and quotes meets Jem now. “I’m going to suck our boyfriend’s dick, and it’s going to be a really great day for all of us.”
There’s a soft silence that falls over the three of them, before Tessa’s clearing her throat softly.
“Well, you seem to know how you’d like this to play out, Will. So, it’s whatever you want.”
Tessa offers a glance toward Jem, and Will watches as Jem nods at her, the two seeming to come to an understanding without speaking - which, when did that start. Though, he can remember doing the same with Tessa. The way he always has with Jem. Jem’s eyes cut back toward Will, where he’s rewarded with another nod from Jem.
Will can feel his whole body twitch with the realization he’s getting what he wants. He feels like a vacuum cleaner someone left on and has suddenly replugged in the wall. Will’s hands flex next to his sides, as Jem turns back towards Tessa. Wide blue eyes watch as Jem presses a soft kiss against her lips, before he’s standing up.
“Right. Should we-,” Jem’s words stumble for a moment, his eyes studying Will’s. He’s only minutely worried about the look in Will’s eyes. “Here, or?”
“Take off your pants.” Jem’s brows jump at the tone of Will’s voice.
“That’s it? Just, right to it? ‘Take off your pants’?” Jem’s voice drops slightly in octave as he mimics Will. He offers a glance toward Tessa. “Do you see what I have to-,” his words are cut off as Will’s lips slam into his.
Jem’s hands seem to work on their own, as his fingertips bury into Will’s exposed skin. This time, it’s Jem’s turn to laugh hysterically, as Will’s tongue slips into his mouth. The laughter peeters out into a soft whine, as Will’s fingers dig into his scalp. Jem’s hands press against Will’s lower back as he draws the boy in closer, a surprised sound coming from his mouth as their hips line up.
Jem pulls away from Will, his eyes dropping towards Will’s hips for a moment, before looking back up at him. Silvery brows furrow light. “Have you been hard this entire time?”
The wild look in Will’s eyes only seems to grow, as his fingers press harder against Jem’s scalp. For a brief moment, Jem wonders if he should be worried about his safety, but then he’s hearing a sound mixed between a soft gasp and a sigh. Blue and silver eyes find one another, surprise showing clearly in them both, before both their both moving their gaze toward Tessa.
Tessa doesn’t seem like she’s moved much, but there’s a surprised look gracing her own features. Will chuckles softly, and Jem finds his attention moving back towards him.
“Oh, I know that look,” despite his stature, Will sounds a bit breathless as he speaks. “You liked watching me kiss Jem, didn’t you?”
Jem watches in amazement as a soft pink starts to tent Will’s neck. Silver eyes watch with interest as the blush travels up the other’s skin and to his face. Jem’s nails dig into Will’s skin again, as he leans forward, his tongue brushing out to trace against Will’s skin. Whatever teasing Will had planned for Tessa seems to vanish, as his attention is pulled back toward Jem. He ends the trail by letting his teeth tease against Will’s pulse on his neck. For one completely insane second, Jem thinks about burying his teeth in, running his tongue along the bruised skin, letting his mouth close and suck against Will. Before he has time to decide if he wants to go through with it, Will’s hands and pulling his face from his neck, and letting their mouths press back together. Maybe next time.
Jem lets out a soft whine, as Will turns, his lips stray from his, leaving open mouthed kisses down Jem’s jaw, and down to his neck. He barely has enough sense to let his arms fall from Will’s back, as the other starts to unbutton his shirt. It takes two buttons, before Jem hears Will growl against his neck. The vibrations of Will’s voice cause a moan of his own to fall in the room. Will’s hands grip Jem’s shirt and tugs, both of them pulling apart enough to watch several buttons go bouncing across the room.
“I can fix those,” Will mumbles softly, his eyes blinking up at Jem. He’s seen this look before, Will’s pre-apology face, his hopefully-this-look-is-enough-and-I-won’t-have-to-actually-apologize look. Jem lets his hands move toward Will’s face, as he pulls him back toward his lips.
Jem faintly registers a soft giggle, followed by a hitch of breath, reminding him they’re not alone, before he’s getting distracted by the feeling of Will’s larger hand pressing against his bare chest. Will’s lips return to Jem’s jaw, his thumb brushing ever so softly over his nipple. Jem would be embarrassed by the gasp that slips from his mouth, but it’s quickly replaced by an even more embarrassing whine as Will’s tongue brushes where his thumb traced moments before. Shivers run up Jem’s spine as Will’s breath of laughter covers the now cooling warmth from his tongue. He has enough time to mourn the loss of Will’s mouth, before he’s hearing Will speak up.
“Oh, Tessie,” Jem lets his eyes open - when did he shut them? - and looks towards Tessa. Jem notes the way one of Tessa’s hands has moved from its place in her lap, and has found home against her ribs, her thumb seemingly brushing lightly across her nipple over her shirt. Her other, gripping against her thigh, and with how high her grip is, Jem feels his heartbeat somehow rise in his chest. He remembers the first time he heard Will moan. The way Jem’s tongue had danced so softly against Tessa’s, careful to be respectful, to not push too far - only to hear Will next to them, to look over to see his grip on himself.
“Tessie,” Will clicks his tongue softly, as he shakes his head. The curls of his hair brushing ever so slightly against Jem’s chest. The touch tickles, and causes his stomach to tense and jump, as his fingers push through Will’s untamed hair. “Here I thought you were the one with the self control.”
He’s taunting her, he’s trying to rile her up. It’s not unusual. In fact, Jem’s pretty sure he’d be more surprised if this didn’t happen. Of course, he supposes this should be the time where he interjects - to tell Will not to be mean. Tell him they’re all figuring this out. Instead, whatever words poised to come from Jem vanish as Will’s fingers deftly undoes his belt. It’s like he’s done it a million times, it’s different from the fumbling of the shirt, and Jem feels himself jump below his belt. He’s fairly certain from the look Will casts him, he felt it, too.
Jem watches as Will’s tongue darts across his bottom lip, catching slightly between his set of teeth, before he’s leaning forward, and letting his tongue drag across Jem’s skin, above his waistline. Jem’s gasp mingles with Tessa’s, as Will pulls away, and lowers himself full to his knees. Blue eyes turn back toward Tessa, a terrible gleam twinkling away as he locks his eyes with hers.
“It seems mighty unfair I’m so undressed, and doing all this work to undress James,” his hand gestures kindly down Jem’s body. The sound of his full name causes shivers to travel his body once more. “And you’re still fully dressed, Theresa. It just-,” Will sighs, as his thumb casually, and easily pops the button on Jem’s slacks. “It seems so unfair, don’t you agree, James?”
Will’s eyes catch Jem’s, and he finds himself hopeless to do anything else but nod. The threat of begging for him to never stop whatever this is clawing at his throat. Will offers him a wink, as if he knows exactly what Jem’s thinking - having Will touch him, while Tessa watches. It would be … well, he’s considered it, late at night, to say the very least.
“I think she should touch herself, what do you think, James?”
He feels like his tongue has glued itself to the roof of his mouth. He has no idea how, or why, Will is still talking when he’s so close to doing … exactly what he wants to do to Jem. When Jem can feel his warm breath somewhere he never imagined he would outside of pointless daydreams, even through the layers of his clothes. Jem nods again, his fingers tightening in Will’s hair, as Will’s hand travels up the side of Jem’s thigh. Will’s eyes return to Tessa.
“See, James agrees. It’s only fair we get to watch you, don’t you agree, Tessie?”
Will’s hands grip Jem’s thigh, as he shakes his leg softly. His eyes refusing to leave Tessa, as he whispers a soft, “watch,” up to Jem. Jem finds it ridiculous, for Will to remind him to watch, only until it dawns on him, Will means to watch Tessa. Silver eyes snap to her. Two sets of eyes watch as her shirt - an old, now cropped, concert shirt Jem gave her before they all started … this - gets pulled over her head, and dropped to the floor.
Jem just barely catches Will’s voice mumbling, “blue,” over his own panting breath. Will’s thumb strokes ever so softly against the back of Jem’s thigh, keeping him distracted enough to stay silent.
“Skirt first,” Will’s voice is louder now, meant for Tessa to hear as she starts to go for her bra. Jem’s eyes flash to Will for a moment, before returning to Tessa. Her fingers move slowly, and Jem can’t tell if it’s because she’s nervous, or if she’s trying to tease them right back.
Will feels his breath speed up as Tessa lets her clothes drop to the floor, before she’s sitting back down on their shared couch. A couch he once watched Jem peel her shirt off. A couch he once watched Tessa’s hand skim down the front of Jem’s pants.
“Good girl,” he sounds breathless to himself, but it doesn’t stop Will from turning his gaze back to Jem. A toying smile pulls against his lips. “Now you get to decide who you watch.”
Jem lets one hand part from Will’s hair, and lets his index finger run softly from Will’s temple down to his lips. Jem watches as his finger brushes against Will’s lips, only for Will’s tongue to follow. Heat floods his stomach as he recalls doing the same thing not too long ago. Only, Will lets his tongue wrap around Jem’s finger, coaxing it into his mouth, where he lets his mouth suck against the digit.
“Oh,” tumbles helplessly from Jem’s mouth, and he hears Tessa's soft sigh follow it. Jem watches as Will’s mouth turns up on the corners, smiling around his finger as best he can, before he’s letting Jem’s hand fall limp by his side.
“I’ve been interested in doing that for some time now, just so you know.” Will’s words make Jem feel like he’s been hit in the back of the head, or by a train, he’s not sure what the best comparison is. However, he doesn’t have much time to consider which is more accurate, as Will leans forward and nuzzles against the front of Jem’s pants. A stuttered gasp falls from Jem’s lips, as Will’s teeth pull against the zipper.
“That’s not fair.” Jem doesn’t even recognize his own voice. This is far from his first blowjob, far from his first time being with a man, yet, his voice sounds like nothing he’s ever heard. He doesn’t know if it’s Will’s work alone, or the added bonus of Tessa watching it all. Will’s movements freeze for a second, and Jem feels a sudden cold against one thigh. His eyes dart down and see Will’s palm pressed down against his own crotch. Will’s forehead moves to press against Jem’s hip, as the other takes a deep steadying breath.
Jem can see Tessa leaning forward out of his peripheral vision, and he watches silently as Will jumps slightly when Tessa’s hand touches gently against his shoulder. Her thumb brushes softly against the skin there, as Will rolls his head slightly against Jem’s hip to look at her.
“You’re okay, Will.”
“You heard him, right? You heard his voice? How am I supposed to be normal about this?”
Jem can’t stop the hysterical laugh that falls from his mouth, as two sets of eyes snap toward him.
“You think you’ve been normal through any of this, William?”
Will moves faster than he has any right to. Jem hisses as Will’s teeth sink into the skin above his hip. Pretty blue eyes bat up at him, as Will presses soft kisses into the sure to form bruise.
“I think I’ve been very normal, considering the circumstances.”
Jem’s eyes catch Tessa’s, and the two share a short look before they’re both laughing. ( Jem will deny its a giggle coming from him, of course. ) Will’s eyes roll, as his hand leaves himself and returns to Jem’s thigh. He turns his focus toward Tessa, a single dark brow lifting.
“I thought you were supposed to be watching.”
Jem watches as Tessa leans back against the couch, her legs parting slightly, allowing both of them a view of a small wet patch now darkening the baby blue lace.
“I’m not going to last,” Jem’s voice is helpless, as his hand tightens its grip in Will’s hair.
Will places soft kisses along Jem’s torso, as he slowly works the slacks off Jem’s legs.
“That’s okay, just last long enough for me to enjoy it.”
Jem feels his body lock and waver at the words, as Will so kindly helps him step from his pants, then his briefs. Jem should be the one enjoying this more, but Will seems like this is the best gift Jem could ever possibly bestow upon him. There’s a loud silence that fills the room as Jem watches Will watch him. Will’s eyes darling between Jem’s eyes and his hard, weeping cock in front of him. Jem clears his throat awkwardly, as Will’s eyes dart back to his.
“Sorry, if it’s-,” Jem stutters over his words, unsure of what he’s even attempting to say, before Will leans forward and brushes his tongue feather light against Jem’s slit.
Jem swallows down the embarrassing sound threatening to pour from his lips, which leaves room for the loud moan to tumble from Will. Wide silver eyes watch Will with rapt attention, taking in the sight of his closed eyes, the small smile dancing against Will’s lips. Jem lets his eyes travel to Tessa, spotting her hand trailing softly across the band of her panties, her mouth parted softly, as her focus stays on Will. He feels lightheaded, like he might pass out at any moment, as Will’s eyes slowly blink open. His eyes travel the span of Jem’s jawline, before silver eyes are once again meeting blue.
“You’re bigger than I was expecting,” is all Will says, before his mouth is sliding around Jem.
Jem lets out a terrible noise, stumbling between a gasp and a moan, borderlining on painful, as Will swallows him down. He expects it to be awkward, a nervous new thing, but Will acts as if he’s done it a million times before - he acts like this is where Jem belongs. The thought makes Jem waver, his hips stuttering forward against Will’s mouth. Jem’s eyes flash open, ready to apologize. Instead, he watches as Will’s entire body relaxes, his mouth and throat opening ever so wider, and his big blue eyes batting kindly up at Jem.
“I think,” Tessa’s words are breathless, and Jem wishes he has enough sense to look away from Will just to watch her hand travel against herself. “He liked that, Jem. You should do it again.”
It’s like he can hear Will’s voice in his head, just by looking in his eyes, cheering, begging. Saying, yes, do it again, keep doing it. So, he does. He thrusts softly into Will’s mouth, watching as his eyes droop shut in the way he watched after Tessa gave him a handjob for the first time. Jem loosens his hold on Will’s hair slightly, as he works himself in and out of Will’s mouth.
“How,” Jem has to clear his throat, before he tries again. “How are you doing this, you’ve never. I mean, you’ve never mentioned-,”
Will’s hand leaves Jem’s thigh to tug against his wrist, pulling himself away for just a moment. Jem is helpless to look away from the line of saliva between himself and Will’s red, swollen bottom lip.
“Do you think I was deepthroating popsicles around you as a joke?”
Jem wants to argue, wants to say something snappy, or maybe even mean back - call him an asshole, or something, but Will’s mouth returns to its place, and Jem feels his vision go white. He focuses on keeping his legs in place, and can just barely make out the soft breathless laughter coming from Tessa.
Jem’s absolutely sure a blush is covering his skin. In fact, he can see it on his chest, just below where he watches Will’s mouth swallows him down. He keeps his thrust tame, careful not to hurt Will - this is his first time, after all. Even more, their first time. Hurting Will, making him never want something like this again with Jem, makes his heart stop dead in his chest. He knows Will can tell he’s thought about something he shouldn’t, from the way his brows furrow up at him. Instead of waiting for Jem to resume his laxed thrusting, Will begins bobbing his own head, and Jem gasps as his head bumps against the back of Will’s throat. He waits to hear some form of gagging - he’s watched porn - instead, Will just lets out soft hiccups of moans.
“Fuck, Will,” the words slip from Jem’s mouth before he has time to stop them. A pained noise falls from Jem’s lips as Will once again pulls away from him. Will’s signature flirting smile plays on his lips, as he stares up at Jem.
“Maybe later,” Will voices, as he returns to his administration.
Jem watches as Will’s hand returns to himself, silver eyes flashing to Tessa briefly, finding her fingers circling the front of her panties, as Jem presses himself further into Will’s throat. Will groans loudly, and pulls Jem’s focus back toward the boy. Jem watches in wonder as Will’s hand slips beneath the band of his briefs. Jem’s head shakes, as he stutters in his movements for a moment. His hand gripping against Will’s hair.
“Let me,” Jem takes a stuttering breath, as Will’s eyes blink up at him. “Let me see - let us see,” Jem casts a glance towards Tessa, a soft whine falling from his lips as he watches the tips of her fingers slip beneath the waistline of her panties. “T-Tessa wants to see, too, right?”
Jem feels himself jump in Will’s mouth as Tessa moans a soft, “yes,” in the room. Silver eyes return to Will’s, and watches as the other tugs his briefs low enough to free himself.
Jem knows now, what he’s known for quite some time now, which is, he will never want another person the way he wants Will and Tessa. Jem tosses one more short glance toward Tessa, catching the way her fingers have shifted lower, how her palm has curled enough to enlighten him to her sinking her fingers into herself. A pained moan falls from Jem’s lips, as he looks back toward Will, watching his thumb circle the head of his red cock. Jem can hear himself saying Will’s name. It pours from his lips like he’s praying - for what, he’s not sure.
“Will, I’m,” a choked breath pulls itself from Jem’s lungs, as Will seems to nod and somehow take Jem even further down his throat. Wide eyes watch as Will blinks kindly up at Jem, and he can’t stop himself from pushing deeper, once, twice, a third, and then a final time. Watching a tear slip from Will’s eye causes whatever dam Jem’s built up to finally break. Jem lets his chin hit his chest, as he feels Will swallow around him. “Fuck,” it’s barely a whisper, closer to a silent breath as Will continues his bobbing, causing Jem to whine.
His eyes move back toward Will. Jem watches Will with rapt attention, the way he seems to refuse to pull back, despite Jem beginning to soften in his mouth. Jem whispers his name, and watches as Will finally pulls back enough to gulp in a deep breath, before his forehead is leaning against Jem’s hipbone. Will offers a glance towards Tessa as he tries to regain his composer. Jem’s hand brushes softly though sweaty locks of dark hair, and Will gives himself two more strokes before he’s feeling himself release against his hand with a deep groan. Will lets his eyes close for a moment, as he lets his heart slow, before he’s offering a glance up towards Jem. A smile toying against his lips.
“Was that okay?”
Jem’s hands vacate Will’s hair, and instead wrap around his forearms. Will lets out a surprised yelp as Jem hauls him to his feet, and slams their lips together. Jem’s tongue takes up home within Will’s mouth, brushing against his own. He realizes that Jem is seeking out his own taste on Will’s tongue. Will chuckles softly against Jem’s lips, as he softly pulls away.
“Next time, I do you,” Will laughs again at Jem’s words, and more so the wild look gracing his eyes. He wonders if that’s how he looked before. Will just nods in agreement, as he brushes his lips softly to the edge of Jem’s, delighting in the way Jem’s lips seem to chase his. Then, there’s a soft sigh, and both boys are dragging their attention back to Tessa. Will laughs softly, as his forehead bumps against Jem’s still clothed shoulder.
“Eventually, we’ll get around to all of us having sex,” Will presses a soft kiss to Jem’s shirt-clad shoulder, before he’s pulling away and turning toward Tessa. He makes a gesture, as if he’s cracking his knuckles, then his neck. “Alright, your turn.”
Jem can only laugh as he watches Will advance on Tessa. Before he’s pulling his own briefs back on, and placing himself next to Tessa on the couch. His hands are gentle as he brushes her hair over her shoulder, eyes watching as Will once more positions himself on his knees. Jem presses a soft kiss to Tessa’s jaw, before he’s muttering against her skin, “he’s rather enticing on his knees, don’t you agree?”
Will offers the two of them a glance from under his lashes, as his fingers brush gently against Tessa’s wrist. A smile pulling at his lips as Tessa nods in agreement to Jem’s words.
“I’m so glad you both enjoy the view,” despite the sarcastic tone, Jem can tell Will means it, a soft pink tinting his cheeks.
“It’s a very nice view,” Jem’s voice is soft, as his eyes dip toward Will’s briefs. His own smile pulls on his lips as Will’s blush deepens. Jem lets his hand brush softly against Will’s cheek, enjoying the way Will seems to tuck his face against his hand. “What would you like to do with Tessa, William?”
Will doesn’t fight the way his body shivers at Jem’s voice, his teeth brushing lightly against his own bottom lip for a moment, as he lets his eyes connect with Jem’s.
“She got to see me use my mouth on you, it seems only fair you get to see me use my mouth on her. Don’t you think so?” Will blinks up at Jem, his eyes jumping to Tessa, before he’s speaking up again. “If that’s what Tessa wants, of course.”
Jem’s eyes slip to Tessa, a small smile forming on his lips, “would you like that, Tessa?” Jem watches as a blotchy red starts to overtake her face, and on a whim, he leans forward. He steals one more look at Will, before his lips are pressing softly against her jawline. “I know you enjoy kissing Will - you’ve told me. Just as I told you how much I wish I could kiss him myself.” There’s a still moment, where Jem can feel Will’s wide eyes resting on his features, before Jem’s barreling ahead. “You told me his mouth was warm. You were right, Tess.” Jem lets his open mouth brush gently against her skin, as he lets his eyes find Will’s. “He’s so warm, and despite how annoying it can be at times, he does have quite a talented mouth.”
Jem smiles against Tessa’s skin when she feels them both laugh at his words. He pulls away just enough to look at Tessa. Jem and Will watch as she hesitantly nods.
“I,” gray eyes flicker between the two of them, before she’s straightening her spine - a sign she’s come to a decision. “Yes.” Jem and Will share a smile, then aim them at her, though both seem to waver as her composure does. “I’ve never- I mean, no one’s ever-,”
Jem lifts his hand, letting the back of it stroke gently across Tessa’s cheek.
“We know. It’s okay,” Jem’s voice is soft, a calming thing. Will offers a nod, as his thumb brushes soothingly against her knee.
“We’re all trying new things today, Tessie. It’s okay,” Will keeps his voice soft, too, as he leans down and presses a soft kiss to the inside of Tessa’s thigh.
Jem’s hand lifts from Tessa’s skin, and finds home again within the strands of Will’s hair.
“Tessa’s right, though, Will. She’s never done this,” Jem smiles softly as Will rests his chin on Tessa’s thigh and turns his focus to him. “You’ll have to be good to her, make sure she enjoys it as much as you do. You did that for me, you can do it for her, can’t you?” Jem offers Will a beaming smile as the other nods.
“I can be good for her - for both of you,” the words tumble from Will’s lips before he’s really had time to consider them, before he’s turned them every which way to determine if they’re true - but he knows they are. He can tell from Jem’s set smile, and Tessa’s increased breathing they both know just how much he means them.
Jem’s hand strokes softly down Will’s cheek, before he’s letting his palm rest on Tessa’s other thigh. Will lifts his head, letting his own fingers brush softly up Tessa’s other thigh, enjoying the way she seems to twitch beneath his touch. He lets his hand run higher, over the soft blue fabric, then across the waistband, his eyes watching at her stomach tenses under his movements. Blue eyes look up to her, blinking softly.
“I need to take these off, is that okay?” He watches as Tessa nods, offers a small glance toward Jem, his fingers already dipping beneath the fabric, until Jem’s slender hand covers Will’s.
“Use your words, Tessa. Please.”
Will’s eyes flash to Jem, before returning to Tessa. Will watches as her chest expands, taking in a deep breath, before she’s speaking.
“Yeah, yes. That’s,” she clears her throat once more. “That’s okay, Will.” Her voice comes out soft, just barely above a whisper.
Will smiles warmly, watching as Jem’s hand retreats to its previous place on her thigh. Will’s fingers tug gently against the fabric, as Jem leans closer to Tessa’s ear.
“There’s our good girl,” Jem presses an open mouthed kiss to Tessa’s throat, eyes watching as Will rolls the pretty fabric down her soft legs. Will’s eyes glance toward Jem, a smirk dancing on his lips as he holds the fabric out to Jem, letting it dance on the edge of his index finger.
“James, would you be so kind as to hold on to these. I’d just feel so guilty if we lost something so beautiful.”
Will watches with interest as Jem’s face shifts and changes, before he’s clearing his throat, and adjusting himself in his spot. A dark brow raises as Jem’s hand hovers under Tessa’s panties, and Will lets it slip from his finger into Jem’s palm.
“Good boy,” Jem feels a new set of shivers flow up his spine, and he finds himself glaring at Will’s proud smile. His hand closes around the fabric, as Will returns his gaze to Tessa. “Ready?”
Both boys watch as Tessa nods, then mumbles a soft, “yes,” toward Will.
Will smiles, and leans down, letting his lips brush softly against her thigh. Jem’s lips focus against her neck, his eyes watching Will as he presses open mouth kisses to Tessa’s thigh, before he’s abruptly sitting back on his heels.
“This isn’t going to work.”
“What?” Tessa’s voice is panicked, as Will looks toward Jem.
“Can you sit behind her, I need her closer to the edge.”
Jem laughs softly, as he pulls away from Tessa, his hand brushing soothingly against her leg. “Whatever you need, cowboy.” Jem taps Tessa’s thigh softly, as he raises on his knees. “Scoot forward.”
Will gasps gently, as he looks up at Jem, a frown etched on his face. “Hey, I told you that in confidence. In high school.”
Jem’s eyes roll, as he places himself behind Tessa, pressing soft soothing kisses to her shoulder. One hand lifts to press against her sternum, pulling her back against his chest.
“Yes, and now I get to weaponize it for the rest of our lives. Funny how life works, isn’t it?”
Jem’s eyes roll once more as Will sticks his tongue out at him, and Tessa laughs softly at them. Will doesn’t stop the light laughter that falls from him, as his hands brush up the outsides of Tessa’s thighs once more. He offers her a soft look, a smile tugging on his lips.
“Ready?” Will lifts one of her legs, moving it to drape across Jem’s before he’s leaning forward again. Will brushes his fingers against Jem’s bottom lip, before he’s pressing down, and softly pressing two fingers into his mouth. He lets himself be distracted by Jem’s mouth for only a moment, before he’s pulling them away, a soft, “thank you,” slipping from his lips, and gets pressed to Jem’s, before Will’s turning his lips to Tessa’s.
Will’s damp fingers trace softly down Tessa’s stomach, then lower, until his index and middle finger are circling her clit. Will swallows the soft noise that slips from Tessa. He pulls back just enough to notice Jem kissing against her throat. A soft smile pulling at his lips. They can really do this, they can make this happen.
Will lets himself move lower, pressing kisses down Tessa’s chest, his tongue following the already drying line against her he made from his fingers, until his tongue is brushing out to brush just above his fingers. He can’t stop the smile that forms as he feels Tessa’s legs tighten next to his head, and the soft soothing sounds coming from Jem. He keeps Jem’s words in his mind, reminds himself he has to make this good for her - he has to be good for her. He offers one more glance upwards, and is met with two sets of eyes on him. Tessa’s mouth parted softly, as ragged breaths fall from her lips. Jem’s rapt attention set on Will’s mouth. He offers the two of them a wink, before he’s returning to his task. He just barely hears Jem’s quiet voice speaking to Tessa, “he’ll make it good for you, Tess, I promise.”
Will lets his finger and thumb work to spread her, before his tongue brushes deftly across her. Jem’s hand presses firmer against Tessa’s stomach, pulling her tight against his own chest, as a loud whine falls from her lips. Will catches Jem’s eye for a moment, as Jem presses his lips softly against Tessa’s throat. “Sh, it’s okay. Relax,” Will watches as Jem’s free hand brushes his fingers softly against Tessa’s arm, his eyes finding Will’s. “Let him take care of you, Tessie. Let William be our good boy.”
Will lets his free hand move from Tessa’s thigh to Jem’s, where he digs his nails in the surprisingly firm skin. Jem lets out a soft laugh, before he’s bumping his ankle softly against Will’s torso. Will lets his mouth move against Tessa, his tongue circling her clit before he’s working his muscle to form letters against her sensitive skin. His index finger brushes against Jem’s leg, as the letters trace both places. Jem buries his face within Tessa’s neck and lets out a soft laugh, before he’s resting his chin on her shoulder, his eyes finding Will’s.
“My God, you’re possessive.”
Will shrugs lightly, before he lets his tongue slide lower, and press inside Tessa. A soft groan slips from his lips, as his hand wraps its way around Jem’s thigh.
“Does she taste good, Will?”
Another softer moan falls from Will, before he’s pulling back and glancing at Jem.
“Eventually, I want you to fuck her first,” he doesn’t give either of them time to process his words, or reply, before he’s leaning back down. His mouth seals over Tessa’s clit and sucks, as he adjusts his hand to allow his middle finger to toy along her entrance.
Jem feels him cock twitch at Will’s words, and he knows from the small glance Tessa throws at him, her breath coming in pants across his jaw, she felt him, too. Their eyes meet for a brief moment, before Tessa’s head is knocking back into Jem’s shoulder, another whine passing through her lips. Silver eyes glance towards Will, watching as his tongue moves in different shapes across her clit, and his other hand presses two fingers softly into her.
That much, they’ve both done. Let their fingers explore warm, wettened places, as they passed kisses down a line. Jem remembers the feeling of his knuckles knocking with Will’s briefly as they traded places, the two of them learning her. He’s realizing now, he’ll get to learn Will someday, too. Will offers a glance toward Jem, before he’s pulling away from Tessa. Jem offers a soft soothing noise, as Tessa whines against the lack of stimulation, as Will pulls his fingers from her.
“Jem,” now it’s Will’s voice he doesn’t recognize. He feels himself twitch again, this time, though, he feels a familiar swelling start. He knows by Tessa’s gentle whine she feels exactly what’s happening to him. Will leans up on his knees, as he comes closer to their faces. “Jem, mouth,” he’s not sure what Will means, but he lets his jaw open on instinct, a small groan slipping from his mouth as Will brushes his wettened fingertips first across Jem’s bottom lip, then onto his tongue. He doesn’t hesitate to close his lips around Will’s fingers, and suck the coating into his own mouth.
Jem’s eyes watch Will’s as his fingers free themselves from his lips, before Will is pressing a hard kiss to Jem’s lips. It doesn’t last very long, before Will’s turning his lips to Tessa, a soft groan falling between his lips and on to hers. After a moment, he pulls away, his eyes studying hers, before he’s speaking up. “It’s good, right? You’re enjoying it? Me? Will’s lips form into a smile as Tessa nods, her eyes flashing back and forth between his. “Good, good. Just making sure.”
Jem smiles softly, as he tucks his lips against Tessa’s shoulder, his eyes following Will as he leans back down. He knows without a doubt, he loves them both more than he thought it was possible to love another person. Will’s eyes flash to Jem’s, where he sends him a quick wink, before returning his glance toward Tessa.
“Big finish,” is all he says, before he returns to his previous work, this time, the suction on her clit doesn’t waver, as his two fingers, still slick with Jem’s saliva push into her with ease. His wrist twists carefully, as he crooked his fingers and rubs against the sensitive spot he knows is there. Jem’s hand tightens against her as her body tenses. Jem’s mouth moving toward her ear.
“Tell him he’s doing a good job, Tessie. He’ll like it,” his voice is soft, a mutter meant just for her, as he drops his eyes back down to Will.
“It’s good-, Will-, you’re-, so good-,” Jem smiles and presses soft delicate kisses to the side of her jaw, as he whispers a soft, “good girl,” into her skin. Jem lets his hand shift softly against her stomach, letting his thumb brush softly against the underpart of her bra, just as her body tenses to an almost dangerous level, and a shout of Will’s name tumbles from her lips.
Will slows his movements, patient to not stop everything immediately. He lets his teeth brush ever so softly against her clit, laughing slightly as her body tenses and shakes once more, before he’s slipping his fingers free, and tracing his tongue down to her entrance. He keeps his strokes soft, cleaning up any extra mess, before he’s sitting back on his heels, a large smile present against his lips. Jem offers him his own smile, landing somewhere between smug and shy, at the same time. Will watches with fondness, as Jem’s fingers stroke softly against Tessa’s stomach.
He lets the moment linger, enjoying the soft looks he receives for his hard work, until his dark brows are furrowing, and his eyes are turning to Tessa. “Have you had any food today?”

@careful-ofbooks
It’s still new - this whole thing between the three of them. Will’s not even sure if it constitutes the word dating. Dating seems too lacking with whatever the hell they’ve got going on. The obvious level of devotion between Will and Jem has never wavered. ( So long you don’t count that spring in high school Will stopped talking to Jem after he kissed his boyfriend for the first time, and then proceeded to tell Will all about it. Besides, baseball season was picking up - he can’t be blamed for that. ) Then there’s whatever is happening between Will and Tessa. Something not completely different happening between Jem and Tessa. It’s been confusing Will - to say the least. Not confusing enough to complain about, of course, just enough to leave his head in a weird fuzzy pink haze. It seems to be in full force, after falling asleep texting his … companions. He flinches at the word as it crosses his mind - he sounds stupid to himself, which means Jem and Tessa would both roll their eyes and call him stupid to his face. Best to keep that thought to himself.
Will sighs as he listens to the soft clattering happening in the kitchen. He remembers the first day he woke up to it. He remembers being annoyed - he had wanted to sleep in after unpacking, but Jem seemed incapable of sleeping in. Will had stumbled out in the kitchen and had been met with Jem saying, “I made you coffee.” Only for the silver haired boy to drop the mug on the hardwood floors. Looking back, it makes sense. Will had been in only his underwear - and now, knowing that Jem was capable of sexual desire - that makes him sound stupid, too. Will sighs and runs a hand through his bedhead, before he’s moving from his bed.
He’s met with a similar scene to the first day of living with Jem. This time, though, the mug stays steady in Jem’s palm, and there’s a soft smile on his lips. Will’s blue eyes study Jem’s mouth - a view he’s not unfamiliar with. He’s stolen his fair share of glances at Jem’s lips. When he talks, when he smiles - when he chews. Now, his mouth offers a soft, semi-sleepy smile, and a just-as-soft, “good morning, Will.” Will’s hand wraps around Jem’s, as he steps closer, enjoying the warmth from beneath his hand. He offers Jem a smile of his own, it’s tired and lopsided enough he can feel it himself. Unfortunately, that fuzzy pink haze seems to coat his mind again, as he stretches his neck forward, and lets his lips brush against Jem’s.
It’s soft. Will would barely consider it a kiss for two young adults that have finally admitted to years of secret crushes on each other. More like a kiss between two people who have been together for years. Two people who have a mortgage, a white picket fence, and three and a half kids running around outback. Jem’s hand escapes Will’s, as he takes the coffee, and turns towards the living room. It’s nothing special, a couch, some bookshelves, a tv, and the gaming console Will and Jem bought their second month living together. Shared expenses - maybe they are married after all. Will snorts lightly at the thought, as he makes himself comfortable against the couch.
He isn’t counting the minutes, but Will does note he’s halfway through his coffee when Jem finally moves in the room, carrying his own mug, a deep red blush covering his face. Dark brows furrow as Will watches Jem sit on the other side of the couch - something else normal for them. However, the blush painting Jem’s fair skin seems out of place. Will lets a brow raise as he studies his friend, who seems to be doing everything in his power to keep his eyes off Will.
“Why are you blushing at 7:45AM, James?”
Will’s head tilts slightly as he watches the red get impossibly redder.
“You,” Jem pauses, takes a deep breath, swallows a large gulp of his own coffee, and tries again. “You kissed me.”
Will doesn’t stop his short bark of laughter.
“No, I didn’t.” He’s pretty sure he’d remember something like that.
“Will,” Jem finally lets himself make eye contact with Will, his own silvery brows furrowing together to match Will’s darker ones. “You kissed me in the kitchen, when I handed you your coffee.”
A joking smile pulls against Will’s lips for a moment, before it’s falling away. He leans forward, sitting his mug haphazardly on the coffee table. Will can just barely see Jem scooting forward to adjust the mug’s placement from his peripheral from where his forehead now rests in his palms.
“By the Angel.”
Jem clears his throat softly.
“We can, uh, we can pretend it didn’t happen.”
Will ignores the cracking of his neck as he turns quickly towards Jem, brows furrowed not with confusion, but instead with hurt.
“You want to pretend it didn’t happen?”
“You clearly wish it did not, William.”
Will doesn’t fight the gasp that tumbles from his lips.
“I never said that - you, you said that!”
Jem’s eyes roll, as he returns his vision to his own coffee mug. After a second, he sighs.
“I need to go get dressed, I have class.”
Will watches as Jem stands, and moves towards his room. He waits until the other is out of his line of vision, before he’s rushing to his room.
Blankets are thrown from his bed, and he determinedly ignores the stack of books that goes tumbling from his desk, as he finally finds his phone. He’s just opened his messages when a text comes through.
Tessa Gray: Just talk to him, clown.
A noise, somewhere between a sigh and a laugh comes from Will’s mouth, as he drops his phone back into his mess of bedsheets.
“Bastard always beating me to stuff,” the words are mumbled to himself, as he moves towards his door. Only to catch Jem pulling his own closed behind him.
“I have class until-,” Jem’s words come to a halt, as Will steps closer to him.
Jem offers a look of confusion towards Will, even as the other steps even closer.
“Will?” Jem’s words only seem to draw Will closer. Jem’s hand releases the hold on his bag’s strap, as his shoulders bump into his closed door. “I told you, we can -”
“I can kiss you better than that.”
Jem feels his pulse spike at Will’s words - or rather, the tone he uses. He voices it like it’s a promise. Or, better maybe, a threat.
“You don’t have to,” Jem’s eyes close as the words escape his own mouth.
He has no idea why he would say that. He’s not lying, of course. Will doesn’t have to kiss him - in fact, he’d never even considered it would happen. Not after the first week, anyway. He’s watched as their friendly touches seemed to get less reserved. How Will’s hand would trail against his lower back as they moved around the kitchen together. How Will hadn’t seemed to mind when Jem had pressed his head into Will’s shoulder during movie night and had fallen asleep. In fact, he’d even seemed guilty waking him up. Or, how Will had grabbed Jem’s hand to pull him through the park to meet Tessa - how even after they’d found her and joined her spread picnic blanket, Will had kept their palms pressed together. They only parted when Tessa offered Will a slice of clementine. It took all his willpower to not ask Will if Jem could press it past his lips, just so he could keep their fingers interlocked. ( Of course, that thought had kept Jem awake the rest of the evening until he finally let his juvenile mind provide that pretty scene. He had to bite his pillow to keep Will’s name from echoing in his empty room. ) Before Jem could let his clumsy mouth ruin whatever the three of them had started, Will had pressed Jem’s hand into the soft of his thick thigh. That was enough to keep Jem distracted the rest of the outing - agreeing to watch another one of Will’s stupid sports movies when they got home.
Then, again, just a few days ago, now. When the back of Jem's hand had passed against the still brief-clad intimate part of Will, only to have Will panic about it. To call their how evening short, and stop the shared kisses from Will to Tessa to Jem, then back again. Now, though, with his shoulders pressing back in his door, and Will’s bare chest just barely pressing against Jem’s full clothed chest, he feels a familiar warmth spreading under his skin.
“What if I want to?”
Will’s voice is soft in the space between them, and it causes goosebumps to raise on Jem’s arm. Even as warmth spreads throughout his body. He’s too hot, and somehow, too cold. Will’s breath tickles against his lips - and he doesn’t even care it smells like sleep and coffee, because under that it smells like Will. He’s sure whatever blush he was sporting in the living room has come back full force. Jem clears his throat, and offers the other a casual shrug, his body leaning back against the door.
“I’d never keep you from something you want, Will.”
Jem keeps his eyes on Will’s, though he can just see when the other lifts his hand. Silver eyes close, a soft exhale falling from his lips, as Will’s index and middle finger brushes gently across his bottom lip. If anyone asks, he’ll swear he tried to stop the way his tongue brushes against the skin Will’s fingers touch, then against Will’s fingers themselves. Jem’s eyes flash open as Will’s breath stutters on his inhale. Blue and silver meet. Jem watches as Will seems to be cut from wires, and lets himself fall into Jem.
The kiss that happened in the kitchen is nothing close to this one. Will gives Jem no time before his tongue is tracing the same line his own traced moments before. It’s hard for both of them to determine who makes what noise, but there’s a groan, followed by something suspiciously close to a whimper.
Jem’s nails dig into his palms, as Will’s fingers dance just on the edge of burying themselves in Jem’s hair. Will pulls back just enough to speak against Jem’s wet lips.
“Do you want me to stop?”
Jem has just enough sense to shake his head no, and he knows without a doubt the small whine comes from his lips this time.
“Then why aren’t you touching me, James?”
Whatever strings previously holding Will from Jem are finally cut from Jem as well. Hands move towards Will’s side, thumbs brushing against his ribs, as he pulls the other harder against himself. Both boys seem to jump from the skin to skin contact, and Jem feels a bit high from the way Will’s breath tickles his lips when he laughs, before their mouths are slotting together again. Two matching groans fill the room as the two find themselves slotting together in another place. Will pulls away first, and Jem lets his head thump back against his door, as he stares heavy lidded at his best friend.
“Tessa. We,” Jem’s eyes drop from Will’s towards his lips. His pulse jumps against when he takes in the sight of Will’s wet, swollen lips. A mantra of, I did that, swirls in his mind, as he watches Will’s mouth form around words he’s only half hearing.
“Tessa should be here, right?” Jem nods without fully understanding the words. He’s fairly certain Will could ask him anything right now and he’d fully and enthusiastically agree.
A soft mumbled, “yeah,” passes from his lips, only to be followed by a pathetic chorus of no’s, as Will starts to pull away.
One of Jem’s hands circles around Will, his palm pressing steady against Will’s lower back, as his other sinks itself into Will’s hair. Slender fingers threading through dark curls, as he pulls Will’s lips back to his. A worry he will never be allowed this again. But, Will comes willingly. Falling back into Jem without hesitation.
Will’s hands fall from Jem’s face, and his fingers dance along the waistline of Jem’s slacks, causing Jem’s stomach to jump beneath the other’s touch. Will’s lips slip from Jem’s, and begin a soft path against his jaw, instead, working his way down to Jem’s throat, where he lets his teeth press dangerously hard against his skin. There’s a passing thought in Jem’s mind that he’d let Will rip his throat out with his teeth, if that’s what the other wanted.
“I want to be on my knees for you, James.”
The words are mumbled against Jem’s neck, but they’re loud enough for him to hear. His head thumps harshly against the door as a moan claws itself from his mouth.
“I want that, too, Will.”
Will’s throaty chuckle against Jem’s neck causes a ripple of shivers to pass up his spine. Will presses one more lingering open mouthed kiss to Jem’s neck, before he’s moving his lips closer to Jem’s ear.
“Don’t you think Tess would enjoy seeing you come apart in my mouth?”
Jem’s fingers curl against Will’s back, his nails dipping into the skin. For a moment, Will wonders if he should be concerned. After all, he’s watched Jem rip into all kinds of things with his slender musician’s fingers. Their strength always seems to fly under the radar. Now, though, his nails dig into Will’s tender skin, and Will finds himself not caring if he gains himself four new scars that prove he’s brought Jem to uncontrollable pleasure.
Will takes a step back, stumbling backward to his own room. Only stopping when his spine connects with his open door frame. Will points an accusing finger towards Jem as they both take a moment to catch their breath.
“You,” a hysterical laugh falls from Will’s lips, as he bends slightly as his torso. His hands coming to rest against his knees. “Jesus Christ. Call Tessa, right now. Please.”
Jem’s eyes slip closed, as he takes a deep breath. He nods, his head thumping pathetically against his door, even though he knows Will is no longer watching him. He pulls his phone from his pocket, as he navigates to Tessa's contact. He should feel self conscious, his dark slacks doing little to hide the effect Will had on his body - but, with one slightly guilt filled look towards Will, he makes note that Will seems just as affected. Jem presses the speaker as the call rings through, and Tessa picks up on the third ring.
She doesn’t have enough time to say good morning before two voices are speaking at the same time, their eyes locking once more on each other's.

he feels as though he’s a petulant child. he knows he’s acting it, too. it doesn’t stop the desire from wanting to stomp his foot, but he shoves the feeling down. deciding, instead, to allow his arms to cross tightly over his chest. he offers a squint down at tessa, before his eyes are straying to the other side of the room. to jem. who could not be paying less attention to them. blue hues roll, as he returns his gaze to her. “yeah, well,” it’s like he can’t stop it. he should’ve been able to kiss jem first. after all, he’s known him longer. “he’ll like kissing me better than you, anyway.” he’s aware of how idiotic he sounds.

the words cause him to fumble with the witchlight in his hands. he supposes, he should start expecting things like this. though, he’s fairly certain he never will. from her, or from will. it seems the two of them have found a newfound joy in watching him get nervous about this new thing they’ve started in secret. it feels akin to torture. to see her, to see him, and to know what the other feels like beneath his calloused hands. to know what they taste like upon his tongue. warmth floods his cheeks at the thought. no, much safer to keep it confined in stone rooms, and locked doors. “tessa.” even he, himself, is unsure if he’s chastising or warning.

SHORT N' SWEET BY SABRINA CARPENTER.
TASTE.
i leave quite an impression.
you'll just have to taste me when he's kissing you.
just know i was already there.
i'm gone, but you're still laying next to me.
i know i've been known to share.
five feet to be exact.
he pins you down on the carpet, makes paintings with his tongue.
what are the odds, you send me a text.
every time you close your eyes and feel his lips, you're feeling mine.
if you want forever, i bet you do, just know you'll taste me too.
you can have him if you like, i've been there, done that once or twice.
well, i heard you're back together and if that's true, you'll just have to taste me when he's kissing you.
all his jokes hit different, guess where he learned them from.
you'll just have to taste me.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE.
i know i have good judgement.
if you wanna go and be stupid, don't do it in front of me.
please please please.
i'm just kidding. but really, kinda.
i know i have good taste.
i know you're craving some fresh air.
everyone makes mistakes, but just don't.
don't prove i'm right.
we could live so happily if know one knows that you're with me.
whatever devil's inside you, don't let him out tonight.
don't bring me to tears when i just did my makeup so nice.
heartbreak is one thing, my ego's another.
i have a fun idea, babe, maybe just stay inside.
it's funny and it's ironic that only i feel that way.
i heard that you're an actor, so act like a stand up guy.
i beg you, don't embarrass me, motherfucker.
GOOD GRACES.
i won't give a fuck about you.
i'm sweet like an angel.
you really like it being mine.
no one's more amazing.
you do something sus, kiss my cute ass bye.
it's not that complicated, you should stay in my good graces.
i know a lot of guys.
let me give you some advice.
that was cool.
break my heart and i swear i'm moving on.
no one's more amazing at turning loving into hatred.
want you every second.
it's not that complicated.
you do somethin' suspect, this cute as bye-bye.
i'll switch it up like that, so fast.
don't need other guys.
you should stay in my good graces.
dreaming of writing vows, rocking cradles.
don't mistake my nice for naive.
SHARPEST TOOL.
i know you're not the sharpest tool in the shed.
on a tuesday, send a soft hey.
we don't talk about it.
we never talk about how you found god at your ex's house.
we had sex, i met your best friends.
all the silence just makes it worse.
seems like overnight, i'm just the bitch you hate now.
lying to yourself if you think we're fine.
you're confused, and i'm upset.
then you logged out, leaving me dumbfounded.
if that was casual, then i'm an idiot.
all the silence is just your strategy.
you guilt-tripped me to open up to you.
left me with a lot of shit to second guess.
i don't hear a word 'til your guilt creeps in.
we never talk about it.
i'm looking for an answer between the lines.
we were going right, then you took a left.
i don't hear a word.
COINCIDENCE.
she knew, she's got a real sixth sense.
what a surprise, your phone just died.
this week you're holding space for her tongue in your mouth.
now she's in the same damn city at the same damn time.
last week you didn't have any doubts.
she's sending you some pictures wearing less and less.
damn it, she looks kinda like the girl you outgrew, 'least that's what you said.
you've lost all your common sense.
your car drove itself from l.a. to her thighs.
oh wow, you just broke up again.
the way you told me the truth, minus seven percent.
what a coincidence.
palm springs looks nice, but who's by your side?
that's what you said.
BED CEHM.
who's the cute boy with the white jacket?
maybe it's all in my head, but i bet we'd have really good bed chem.
come right on me.
i bet the thermostat's set at sixty nine.
you're not in my timezone, but you wanna be.
make me go.
i bet we'd both arrive at the same time.
i know i sound a bit redundant.
how you're looking at me, yeah, i know what that means.
i was in a sheer dress, the day that we met.
i bet it's even better than in my head.
are you free next week?
where art thou? why not uponeth me?
come right on me, i mean camaraderie.
i bet we'd both arrive at the same time.
who's the cute guy with the wide, blue eyes and the big bad mm?
how you pick me up, pull 'em down, turn me 'round.
maybe it's all in my head.
you talk so sweet when you're doing bad things.
see it in my mind, let's fulfill the prophecy.
oh, it just makes sense.
and what are the odds? you send me a text.
ESPRESSO.
now he's thinking 'bout me every night.
i can't relate to desperation.
holy shit.
i know i mountain dew it for ya.
i'm working late, 'cause i'm a singer.
my honeybee.
you can't sleep, baby, i know.
i got this one boy, and he won't stop calling.
walked in and dream-came-tued it for ya.
that's that me espresso.
my twisted humor make him laugh so often.
is it that sweet?
too bad your ex don't do it for ya.
that morning coffee, i brewed it for ya.
my give a fucks are on vacation.
switch it up like nintendo.
when they act this way, i know i got 'em.
i guess so.
oh, he looks so cute wrapped 'round my finger.
move it up, down, left, right.
DUMB & POETIC.
you're so dumb and poetic.
cherry-pick lines like they're words you invented.
you're so empathetic, you'd make a great wife.
baby, you put us in this situation.
i promise the mushrooms aren't changing your life.
try to come off like you're soft and well spoken.
just 'cause you act like one doesn't make you a man.
it's just what i fall for.
you're so sad.
fuck with my head like its some kind of fetish.
you're running so fast from the heart's that you're breaking.
don't think you understand.
just cause you talk like one, doesn't make you a man.
there's no communication.
save all your breath for your floor meditation.
you crashed the car and abandoned the wreckage.
every self-help book, you've already read it.
"love everyone" is your favourite quotation.
you're so sad, there's no communication.
just 'cause you leave like one doesn't make you a man.
SLIM PICKINS.
guess i'll end this life alone.
he's naked in my room.
the lord forgot my gay awakening.
all the douchebags in my phone, i play 'em like a slot machine.
if i can't have the one i love, i guess it's you that i'll be kissin.
these are just the thoughts that pass right through me.
i am not dramatic.
a boy who's nice, that breathes.
the good ones call their exes wasted.
i'll just be here in the kitchen.
can't find his ass to save my life.
jesus, what's a girl to do?
i'll just keep moanin' and bitchin'.
this boy doesn't even know the difference between "there," "their" and "they are".
it's slim pickins.
the good ones are deceased or taken.
if they're winnin', i'm just losin'.
JUNO.
don't have to tell your hot ass a thing.
can't help myself, hormones are high.
one of me is cute, but two though?
i'm so fuckin' horny.
you know i just might let you lock me down tonight.
if you love me right, then who knows?
god bless your dad's genetics.
mark your territory.
adore me.
wanna try out my fuzzy pink handcuffs?
give it to me baby.
wanna try out some freaky positions?
i showed my friends, then we high-fived.
you make me wanna make you fall in love.
i might let you make me juno.
have you ever tried this one?
i like the way you fit.
hold me and explore me.
tell me i'm the only, only, only, only one.
you just get it.
sorry if you feel objectified.
i know you want my touch for life.
give me more than just some butterflies.
late at night, i'm thinking 'bout you.
LIE TO GIRLS.
i'm stupid but i'm clever.
all of your best excuses.
you don't have to lift a finger.
like you, they'll just lie to themselves.
isn't ideal, but damn.
girls will do it till the day they die for you.
we love to read the cold hard facts, and swear they're incorrect.
it's lucky for you i'm just like my mother.
they don't stand a chance against all the chances i give you.
there's no need to pretend.
girls will lose their goddamn minds for you.
i can make a shitshow look a whole lot like forever.
girls will cry and girls will lie.
don't swear on your mom.
we love to mistake butterflies for cardiac arrest.
the girl outside the strip club getting her tarot cards read.
don't say it was just an isolated incidence that happened once.
i've never seen an ugly truth i can't bend.
you don't have to lie to girls.
you don't even have to try.
don't i know it better than anyone else?
if they like you, they'll just lie to themselves.
DON'T SMILE.
you're supposed to think about me every time you hold her.
i don't wanna be tempted.
my friends are taking shots.
don't smile because it happened, baby. cry because it's over.
i think i need a shower.
you can fake it, but you know i know.
i want one of them to take my phone, and lose your number.
i want you to miss me.
you think it's happy four, for me it's not.
cry because it's over.
fallin' faster than the way you love to shut me down.
my heart is heavy now.
don't smile because it happened.

the question comes out soft, and genuine. though, he feels like there might be a hint of sarcasm laying underneath. as if, she’s trying to hide the fact it’s a true question. jem understands -- at least, as much as he can. they’ve had very different lives. though, he’s capable of putting himself within her shoes. he has no siblings himself, but he knows how he would feel if something happened to will. to charlotte, or henry. even to jessamine. jem offers a soft hand placed on tessa’s small shoulder. one soft squeeze of comfort, before he’s pulling away. his hands returning to their place upon his lap. “if you need to, of course. i can only imagine how stressful this has all been for you.” eyes find hers, as he offers a soft smile. “i promise to keep it between us, if you’d like.”

will’s back presses soundly against the headboard of jem's bed. feet lay studiously, crossed neatly at the ankles, as fingers skim through the book resting on his lap. he’s not paying much attention to it, after all, it’s jem’s. something about violin maintenance, or something, or another. fingers flip the pages, not out of curiosity for knowledge, but more as just something to do. he seems to be becoming more that way, recently. requiring somewhere for his restless fingers to lay. ( he blames both of them. )
the bed jolts, as tessa places herself next to will. it seems to becoming a habit. the two of them -- rather, the three of them -- unable to allow much space between them. now, with tessa’s smaller shoulder pressed against his, and the soft melodic soothing of jem’s playing, the form of his strong arm pulling the bow taut against the strings in will’s peripheral, luring him into a trance [ . . . ] will allows his body to relax. though, he doesn’t slump, necessarily, he does feel himself lean into tessa. for a moment, he worries she might push him away. instead, she seems to lean in closer, too. her voice a soft whisper, as her breath tickles against his jaw.
her words surprise him -- nearly cause him to pull away from her, nearly cause him to stare at her. instead, he focuses on the soft hiccup within jem’s playing. they are shadowhunters, after all. their hearing is much better than the average human. so, will simply offers a soft, quiet clearing of his throat, as his eyes study the pages in front of him. “i don’t know, tess. james may not look it, but he’s a very jealous man.” will can just spot the way jem’s upper body seems to roll along with his eyes. a small smirk tugging against his mouth. “of course, he might enjoy watching, too. if he gave it a shot.” a single note fills the room, before jem’s offering the two of them -- mostly will -- a sharp glance. ‘that’s enough.’ will sighs, though it sounds more of a teenager girl seeing her crush than a boy being berated, as he turns his gaze to tessa. “see ? he’s no fun.”

finger flit restlessly across book pages. despite the anxiety that’s seemingly taken hold within his chest, he keeps his movements sure. there is no need to alert anyone to his worry -- besides, it is nothing being a shadowhunter can fix. no, these are his own worries. ones he plans to keep locked tightly behind clenched teeth. he makes the effort to keep the book pages from being ripped -- somehow, he thinks tessa would frown upon him ripping up the books. even if they’re his own.
restlessness makes him move from his chair, to his feet. though, he keeps his eyes steady on the book within his hands. even if he continues to scan over words he’s not really retaining. ( besides, it’s not as if he hasn’t read this before. if anyone was to ask, that is. ) he keeps his sigh with his worry, teeth grinding to keep any sounds that might cause a worry to start. however, he does take a deep breath to ground himself. it’s then, he can smell it. smell him. it should be weird, to know a person by their scent alone, but it’s different for them. they are the blood within each other’s veins, it’s seems.
this time, he allows the sigh to fall from his lips. blue hues roll dramatically in their sockets, as he makes a show of flipping the book page. ( he doesn’t even know what chapter he’s on. ) will offers a vague glance over his shoulder, though his eyes do not land on his invader. “james, if you’re trying to sneak up on me, it won’t -” words are cut off, as he feels something hard connect with the back of his shoulder. he has just enough time to offer a groan of discomfort to the air, before something much lighter is connecting with his other shoulder. will doesn’t even have enough time to comprehend the events, before he finds himself forehead to ground. another, louder groan passes from his lips, as he adjusts to the weight now on his back. “what the hell ?”
another groan is heard beside his left ear, as the heavier weight adjusts itself on his side. ( fists curl tightly, as a wide, strong hand passes along his lower back. ) then, on his right, a soft giggling seems to start. as if she can’t stop herself. his head turns towards the offending laughter, brows furrowing deep as he offers tessa a glare. “oh, is this funny to you ?” a deeper laughter starts up to his left, and will doesn’t stop the offended scoff that pulls from his lips, as he shifts around on his back. a glare is shot towards jem -- his friend. “you let her talk you into attacking me ? why ?”
will can’t -- nor, does he really want to -- stop the smile threatening to pull against his lips, as jem offers him a smile. despite the adjustments on the hardwood floors, jem looks [ . . . ] happy. and that makes will’s chest tighten, though, it’s not from anxiety this time. ‘no, actually,’ jem’s voice is painted with color, as he shares a conspiring glance with tessa. ‘it was my idea.’ will’s gasp is cut short, as the two pile back atop him, the sound changing to something of a yell masked with a belt of laughter.
/ @tessgrayed sent: tessa and jem run up and tackle will!

he will deny it until his last breath, but the tone of her voice causes a small spike of [ . . . ] something, to run up his spine. despite the spark, he does a good job of hiding it. a dark brow lifts, as his gaze drags lazily against her features. blue eyes slither their way to the fabric gripped within her fist. he does not stop the toying smile that flits on his features, and for a moment, the tip of his tongue traps itself between his set of teeth. dark eyelashes bat at her, even as her empty fist curls within the fabric of his collar. “i didn’t realize you’d become so enthralled with high fashion, miss gray.” oh, how he enjoys riling her up. he feels as though he simply cannot stop himself. a hand lifts, as fingers delicately wrap around the entirety of her wrist. ( he allows himself only a single second of enjoyment as the tops of his fingers brush against his own palm. ) he ignores the soft pulse of her under his fingers, as he peels her fist from his shirt. “you really should find better company than jessamine.”
“William.”
It’s sharp, accusatory. In her hand is a ripped piece of lace. “Fess up. No point in blaming Jem. He complimented it! And he would never.”
When she’s met with a non-answer, she leans over, grabbing Will by his collar. “Will! What happened to my bodice?!”

her sigh is echoed by one of his own -- it is much softer. more of an exhale from his nose. though, it does not hide his worry, as he steps further in from the hall. his palm rests loosely against the head of his cane, as his shoulder rests heavy against the door frame.
tired eyes gaze across her. first, touching the wariness upon her face -- she has been working herself ragged, it seems. of course, that doesn’t seem to surprise him. next, he takes note of her clothes. no longer fitting snug against her skin. instead, the fabric is stretched -- as if she’s worn it one too many times before washing. he knows the truth, though. knows that she has shifted between forms, back and forth. taking the skin of someone else, before slipping back into herself.
another sigh falls from him, passing through parted lips, this time. with a soft shove, jem rights himself from the doorframe, and takes a step further into the room. “tessa,” his voice is soft, as though he’s speaking with a frightened animal. ( and really, isn’t she just ? ) a soft smile threatens to overtake his features. “surely you must know, you cannot learn anything, regardless of your abilities, if you do not rest. i’m sure will and charlotte have told you much the same.”
A deep sigh. Fingers pinch the bridge of her nose.
“Jem,” is what falls from her lips. Tessa is tired, her dress now loose from the amount of times she’s transformed into one of the sisters that tortured her.
And there is still more to be done. More to pry through. This was the power she was given, so she has to use it - right?”
“I am not hungry, but thank you,” finally is how she concludes. “Unless you were sent to tell me to take a break. If so - I’m fine.”
She doesn’t look fine. She looks worn down. Miserable. Hungry. But also… insatiable. For the truth.

am i allowed to cry?
i don't cater to all these vipers dressed in empath's clothing.
nostalgia is a mind's trick.
i can hold my breath.
then we could all just laugh until i cry.
i'm seeing visions, am i bad?
it wasn't a fair fight or a clean kill.
just say when, i'd play again.
oh, was it punishment?
oh my god, you should see your faces.
blood's thick, but nothin' like a payroll.
now you know what it feels like.
you're in self-sabotage mode, throwing spikes down on the road.
this town is fake, but you're the real thing.
were you writing a book?
the devil that you know.
well, you took me to hell too.
six weeks of breathing clean air, i still miss the smoke.
go on, fuck me up.
you deserve prison, but you won't get time.
i touched you for only a fortnight.
honestly, who are we to fight the alchemy?
you say i abandoned the ship, but i was going down with it.
nothing makes me feel more alive.
who the fuck was that guy?
but when i count the scars, there's a moment of truth that there wouldn't be this if there hadn't been you.
even if i die screaming, i hope you hear it.
no one's ever had me, not like you.
yes, i'm haunted, but i'm feeling just fine.
i built a legacy that you can't undo.
fuck it if i can't have us.
i'm miserable!
i'm gonna get you back.
i'll tell you something about my good name, it's mine alone to disgrace.
so tell me everything is not about me, but what if it is?
my boy only breaks his favorite toys.
tell me all your secrets.
you know you're good when you can even do it with a broken heart.
what if your eyes looked up and met mine.
i swept in at the rescue.
now i'm down bad, crying at the gym.
i'm so afraid i sealed my fate.
i chose this cyclone with you.
all my mornings are mondays stuck in an endless february.
you were sleeping soundly when they dragged you from your bed.
it wasn't sexy once it wasn't forbidden.
i can't pretend like i understand.
i'm just getting color back into my face.
i'm pissed off you let me give you all that youth for free.
i stopped cpr, after all, it's no use
it was unnecessary, should've let it stay buried.
we both did the best we could do underneath the same moon.
you shit-talked me under the table.
touch me while your bros play grand theft auto.
you said you were gonna grow up then you were gonna come find me.
i'm combing through the braids of lies.
no way i'm gonna screw up, now that i know what's at stake.
you told me i'm the love of your life.
you kicked out the stage lights, but you're still performing.
tell me something awful.
i am what i am 'cause you trained me.
how did it end?
in fifty years will all this be declassified?
was any of it true?
there's a lot of people in town that i bestow upon my fakest smiles.
how dare you think it's romantic, leaving me safe and stranded.
they knew the whole time that i was onto something.
i just learned these people only raise you to cage you.
i dreamed about it in the dark the night i felt like i might die.
all of this to say, i hope you're okay.
i didn't opt in to be your odd man out.
move to florida, buy the car you want.
in plain sight you hid.
i'm bitter, but i swear i'm fine.
please, i've been on my knees.
just how low did you think i'd go before i'd self-implode?
who's gonna stop us from waltzing back into rekindled flames if we know the steps anyway?
pull me to the backseat.
way up there, i actually love it.
at dinner, you take my ring off my middle finger and put it on the one people put wedding rings on.
i hate it here.
what if the way you hold me is actually what's holy?
i should've known it was a matter of time.
they're gonna crucify me anyway.
he was my best friend.
this happens once every few lifetimes.
i can't forgive the way you made me feel.
does it feel alright to not know me?
you said some things that i can't unabsorb.
i just don't understand how you don't miss me.
i felt more when we played pretend.
the future's bright, dazzling.
i've seen this episode and still loved the show.
please know that i tried to hold onto the days when you were mine.
are you still a mind reader?
i'll save all my romanticism for my inner life and i'll get lost on purpose.
tell me i'm despicable, say it's unforgivable.
do you believe me now?
still alive, killing time at the cemetery
is it somethin' i did?
i read about it in a book when i was a precocious child.
you caged me, and then you called me crazy.
bet they never spared a prayer for my soul.
i stopped trying to make him laugh.
he just hadn't met me yet.
you ain't gotta pray for me.
i won't confess that i waited, but i let the lamp burn.
all your life, did you know you'd be picked like a rose?
i'm tryin' to stifle my sighs.
if you wanted me dead, you should've just said.
it's happening again.
i don't think you've changed much.
are you gonna marry, kiss, or kill me?
i don't believe in good luck now that i know what's what.
all that time you were throwing punches, i was building something.
i know i'm just repeating myself.
fuck 'em, it's over.
little did you know, your home's really only a town you're just a guest in.
i wanna kill him.
i forget if this was ever fun.
love's never lost when perspective is earned.
you didn't measure up in any measure of a man.
my friends used to play a game where we would pick a decade we wished we could live in instead of this.
if you want to tear my world apart just say you've always wondered.
what we thought was for all time, was momentary.
do that impression you did of your dad again.
you see i was a debutant in another life but now i seem to be scared to go outside.
you just watched it happen.
so if you want to break my cold, cold heart, say you loved me.
what a charming saturday.
they tried to warn him about her.
then say they didn't do it to hurt me, but what if they did?
i just don't understand.
i was a functioning alcoholic 'till nobody noticed my new aesthetic.
no one asks any questions here.
my friends said it isn't right to be scared.
now i want to sell my house and set fire to all my clothes.
were you making fun of me with some esoteric joke?
you'll find someone.
old habits die screaming.
i know he's crazy but he's the one i want.
did you sleep with a gun underneath our bed?
fuck you if i can't have us.
we were blind to unforeseen circumstances.
i wish i could un-recall how we almost had it all.
trust me, i can handle me a dangerous man.
you're the loss of my life.
i cry a lot, but i am so productive.
who's afraid of little old me?
it was legendary.
i keep recalling things we never did.
i still ponder what it meant.
and who's gonna know you, if not me?
you wouldn't last an hour in the asylum where they raised me.
i'm just mad as hell 'cause i loved this place.
your words are still just ringing in my head.
the story isn't mine anymore.
i'm lonely, but i'm good.
i tried to warn you about them.
fresh out the slammer, i know who my first call will be to.
i look in people's windows.
i will never lose my baby again.
looking backwards might be the only way to move forward.
i choose you and me religiously.
i got cursed like eve got bitten.
i would've died for your sins, instead i just died inside.
well, me and my ghosts, we had a hell of a time.
life was always easier on you than it was on me.
you don't get to tell me about "sad".
i'm not a donor but i'd give you my heart if you needed it.
do you hate me?
you don't get to tell me you feel bad.
i was supposed to be sent away, but they forgot to come and get me.
if i'd been there, i'd hate it.
stay away from her.
i can do it with a broken heart.
you cinephile in black and white.
were you sent by someone who wanted me dead?
but what about your quiet treason?
i hoped you'd return.
i took the miracle move-on drug, the effects were temporary.
i can take the upper hand and touch your body.
i'd rather burn my whole life down than listen to one more second of all this bitching and moaning.
oh, what a way to die.
i'll tell you one thing honey, i can tell when somebody still wants me.
this place made me feel worthless.
my husband is cheating.
my beloved ghost and me.
i keep finding his things in drawers.
did you take all my old clothes?
even if it's handcuffed, i'm leaving here with you.
i'm so obsessed with him, but he avoids me like the plague.
no, i'm not coming to my senses.
we've already done it in my head.
that's the closest i've come to my heart exploding.
no matter what i've done, it wouldn't matter anyway.
everyone knows that my mother is a saintly woman but she used to say she wished that you were dead.
sometimes i wonder if you're gonna screw this up with me.
good boy, that's right.
let it once be me.
lights, camera, bitch, smile.
it's hell on earth to be heavenly.
i'm runnin' back home to you.
one bad seed kills the garden.
i've been doing it since he left.
they say what doesn't kill you makes you aware, what happens if it becomes who you are?
i was tame, i was gentle till the circus life made me mean.
the hospital was a drag, worst sleep that i ever had.
oh, here we go again.
we learned the right steps to different dances.
i haven't come around in so long.
god save the most judgmental creeps who say they want what's best for me.
'cause i'm a real tough kid, i can handle my shit.
i'll tell you how i've been there too, and that none of it matters.
i'm having his baby.
once i fix me, he's gonna miss me.
no, you can't come to the wedding.
you swore that you loved me, but where were the clues?
but you should've seen him when he first got me.
i'm sure i can pass this test.
they tried to warn you about me.
come close, i'll show you heaven if you'll be an angel all night.
what if i told you i'm back?
i'm there most of the year 'cause i hate it here.
i may never open up the way i did for you.
you left your typewriter at my apartment.
oh, we must stop meeting like this.
scandal does funny things to pride.
tell me 'bout the first time you saw me.
it's gonna be alright, i did my time.
and for a fortnight there we were forever.
i thought it was just goodbye for now.
i love you, it's ruining my life.
i'm not trying to exaggerate, but i think i might die if it happened.
i might just die, it would make no difference.
i'll forget you, but i'll never forgive.
a greater woman stays cool, but i howl like a wolf at the moon.
a greater woman wouldn't beg.
pick your poison, babe.
i died on the altar waiting for the proof.
can we watch our phantoms like watching wild horses?
i don't even want you back, i just want to know.
they'll say i'm nuts if i talk about the existence of you.
way to go, tiger.
were you a sleeper cell spy?
you are bloodthirsty.
you said i needed a brave man, then proceeded to play him until i believed it too.
someone told me there's no such thing as bad thoughts.
i can fix him, no really i can.
you needed me, but you needed drugs more.
thought of calling ya, but you won't pick up.
who do i have to speak to about if they can redo the prophecy?
you're in terrible danger.
i want to snarl and show you just how disturbed this has made me.
you are what you did.
fuck it, i was in love.
for a moment, i knew cosmic love
you're the new god we're worshipping.
you gotta fake it 'till you make it, and i did.
i wanna kill her.
did you think i had in me?
you said normal girls were "boring".
and who's gonna hold you like me?
no one here's to blame.
even statues crumble if they're made to wait.
you can mark my words that i said it first.
one last souvenir from my trip to your shores
i'm so depressed, i act like it's my birthday every day.
how can i be guilty as sin?
you were gone by the morning.
i'm always drunk on my own tears, isn't that what they all said?
he said he'd love me all his life.
who else decodes you?
fuck it if i can't have him.
i just learned these people try and save you 'cause they hate you.
tell me all that you'd learned.
you're an animal.
you already know, babe.
growing up precocious sometimes means not growing up at all.
i loved your hostile takeovers.
you and i go from one kiss to getting married.
