A kind, benevolent ruler, you'd truly have no reason to want to get rid of her, right? …right?

SWEETERRA HOUSING

Pretty sweet house, isn't it? That's what its inhabitants think, at least!

FIELDS

As you explore through Sweeterra, you might come across its lush fields, with colorful trees, fauna, and livestock roaming throughout! You might even find a kind rancher who lives nearby!

SUNNY?

Nice suit, Sunny, but what is it needed for? Something happening?

PARALLELS DEVLOG 2

Hello! It’s been… a little bit…

So, getting straight to the point, it’s the

June 2025 Devlog!

(We’ve been doing stuff, I promise)

What HAVE we been doing?

Well, with the exception of music and tilesets (for which applications are open) progress has been going pretty nice. A number of maps are done, the general story has been almost completely smoothed out, and a large amount of art has been completed! All in all, pretty good, if I do say so myself (and I do).

Anything else?

We haven't been able to do much programming wise yet, due to needing maps as the base to program on, BUT in the meantime, we have some new foes and a glimpse at one of the areas you can explore in Sweeterra!

Showcase

Chocolate Swamp

A murky, slick, chocolatey swamp, filled with equally nasty enemies such as the Zombunnie! (See previous devlog)

Gummy Guard

Her Majesty’s loyal(?) subject, ready and willing to put their lives on the line in order to protect her. Only approach if you’re willing to do the same!

Queen Candice

Her Majesty herself, the current ruler of Sweeterra. They say no one’s ever seen her without her smile…

Before getting into the devlog…

THANK YOU FOR 400 DOWNLOADS!

We’re so grateful to you guys for showing your love and support to the demo release of PARALLELS!

400 downloads in 5 weeks is no small feat, and we’re very pleased with people’s interest in the mod. Now, without further ado, let’s get into the

March 2025 Devlog! (because every good mod needs a devlog) (totally…)

What's going on?

Starting off with a quick briefing: Progress has been a little slow as we come out of the demo into starting Chapter 1. We're still ironing out some gameplay mechanics and the more nitty-gritty parts of the story.

Fortunately for us, though, we've had some new people join the team after the release of the demo! They've done some great work so far both writing- and art-wise.

General Progress

While programming and such hasn't really kicked off yet, on the art side of things, progress is going great. Tilesets for Sweeterra are being worked on and many enemies have been finalized to line it.

Speaking of, we might as well show off a few of the enemies you'll see on your travels.

Pupsicles

These tasty beasts love to travel in groups! Take care to watch your surroundings, lest you be assaulted by a pack of them...

Zombunnies

A walking warning sign, watch your step before you end up like these ooey-gooey undead!

Conclusion

Sorry for such a short first devlog. There's really not a lot to talk about just yet, as we're just getting our bearings to take on developing the real deal. Hopefully by the next one there will be more to show. In the meantime though, take care!
