In some occasion, Alex Turner might be leather jacket, slick back hair , margarita and rockstar attitude, but still he can’t hide the fact the behind all of that he is a huge ball of feelings, layered a perfect mixture of allegory and transparency, twisted in small world of Sheffield man during an exceptionally rainy Tuesday night.

In short, yes...he is the best lyricist in my generation.

This band has such a magical sounds. Ever since I listened to “Youth” and “Medicine”, I can’t get enough. Nowadays “Landfill” is my favorite. Those feeling of loving someone so much but desperately want to let them go. Torturous, sadly beautiful and so dangerous.

I don't need any kind words or embraces. I just want your comfort through the waves. As devastating as it is. Leaves and comes back as you wish. But it never changes, never sleeps. And for a moment I know how it feels to be your shore.  To be a destination. To be a home.

You know that feeling at the moment you feel so happy to the point that your overthinker brain can't help but wonder when will this happiness ends. Because deep down you knew that nothing lasts forever. I feel a lot of moments like that with you. And that scares me.

You rip me apart, then put my pieces back together at once.

Sungjin is probably my most favorite vocalist in the whole K-Pop industry.  Afraid is my most favorite track of the whole album (even though the whole album is gold). The released version of Afraid is already heartbreakingly beautiful but this demo version with Sungjin’s voice only, did more damage on my heart in the way I can’t explain. The raspy, rough yet emotional voice that he has...along with the raw instrumental he created. It’s just hurts in a most beautiful way. And don’t get me start with the lyrics. I could probably write pages of essay on that. T_T

I’m glad this version is released. I’m glad that I became a MyDay. I’m glad DAY6 and their beautiful musicality exist in my lifetime.
