it’s also one of the best character intros i’ve seen in a movie in a hot minute. yeah the aura’s wild, but it does so much more—sets jinu up as this witty, funny, bold-as-hell guy. full “fuck around and find out” energy. he’s got a tiger trailing behind him, walks in singing, and jokes that someone should stop him if they’ve heard it before...and no one does. he straight up mocks gwi-ma to his face, and it’s not just for show—he’s now established as the favored servant, gets to say whatever he wants, keeps his voice, even cracks jokes about the king of the demon realm. but you can tell he hates gwi-ma. and while all that’s happening, we also get a solid intro to who gwi-ma even is, all in five minutes. plus an absolute banger of a song. great writing, 10/10.

also that folk song w the traditional instrument at the beginning when proposing the boy band, jinu's lament 💔💔 we were ROBBED!!1!1!!!

their development was also too fast 2 really feel + a little too cliche/predictable esp w the plot. enjoy them still as a concept + also visually bc the character designs fuck so hard, but also this movie really needed another 20 min. ppl will still enjoy regardless tho bc nothing better in the eyes of hollywood than a trauma bonding het couple both attractive as hell
