anyway, two things i loved from this set of chapters:

sureblood! the spren that made up half of him is alive and well in shadesmar and remembers adolin! we're truly getting an unbelievable amount of horsegirl adolin content

kaladin keeping the paper with the first letter syl writes like the extremely proud best friend that he is!

update: switching from text to audiobook makes it slightly less jarring, but i'm frankly a little baffled that apparently no one in sanderson's veritable army of alpha/beta readers was like 'hey, this could really use another round or two of line/style edits.'

was doing my best to ignore the way the writing style in wind and truth so far feels... different in a not-so-great way in favor of Having Feelings About Kaladin, but i'm having a harder time with it in today's batch of preview chapters. anyways here's to hoping it's just an awkward start.

being dumb as fuck is making this chapter preview period so fun like. yes i have read over 20 books and novellas in this series. no i have no idea what is happening at any given moment. i just love when people post like "NO guys this means the dawnspren will reverse nahel splinter and kaladin will mega-ascend to reforge three shards into a invested shardshit" and i'm just like. god you're so right. keep going everyone
